We spent Mother's Day at The Yard food carts because everybody can get whatever food that they liked. It was a good choice. As it happened, the food three of us chose was from Jasmine Flower Thai Kitchen. I had the #27, Spicy Mango Stir-fry with both chicken & shrimp, made mild. The stir-fry was full of tender chicken and lots of shrimps and was served with steamed rice. The "mild" version was perfect for me - not too spicy and not too mild. The Thai iced tea was spot on! Service was cheerful & fast. The Yard building has a lot of tables, a small stage for music (which wasn't happening the day we were there), a bar with beer, cider & wine and more, and nice clean restrooms. There's a big parking lot, as well seating outside for people to bring their dogs. After reading all the negative reviews of Jasmine Flower, I hope that our experience is their "new thing" and that soon their profile will be filled with more positive reviews. read more

I ordered Yellow Curry medium hot with chicken last Friday and it was fine. My husband enjoyed the leftovers . We went back 5 days later and it was a different story . Ordered same dish , this time is was very spicy way more than a medium should be and way more than last week. So much so my husband was compelled to order a burger from another cart to tamp down the fire. We also ordered #27 Spicy Mango medium hot with chicken. This dish was bland, no spice and could not taste basil at all . So that was a total bust. We were quite disappointed as this has been our favorite food cart to date , now it seems consistency may be a problem . I was so looking forward to enjoying my favorite Thai dish, drunken noodles. Unfortunately, it wasn't to happen at The Yard! Their version of drunken noodles was far from enjoyable, two whole leaves of basil are not enough for a serving. When I took the food back to talk about whether it was what I ordered, I felt that I had inconvenienced the millennial girl on her phone. Whatever the flavor was, it was not close to anything I've had at an authentic Thai restaurant. The fresh salad rolls were mostly salad with only a small strip of tofu. I ordered the pad see ew with tofu. There were about 3 pieces of tofu, a couple of broccoli bits and the noodles were not the flat wide noodles that make a pad see ew what it should be. The flavor was bland yes soy saucy, not quite right. I also ordered shrimp and onion tempura as a side, and it was equally disappointing. Really thin stringy onion rings that were over fried and the shrimp was dry. The Thai Iced Tea was perfectly refreshing. I wouldn't recommend. read more

They are worth my time to try another time but today was a busy! Still $9 to know for sure if it's good or not for myself! Thai food is kind of a hit in miss in salem and this food truck is whatever. I ordered their noodle soup which is basically a flavorless pho with thinly slice chicken breast meat. Standard in Thai food for some reason to serve overcooked chicken. The broth had no flavor just water and noodles that soaked up everything turning into mush... they need to put less noodle so its not a hot mess.. also ordered their fried rice that was soggy/mushy, but the flavor is ok.
