Jasmine Garden Honey Garlic Spicy Wings
Gary G.

Weeknight visit (and my first there) and curious to see if it lived up to the hype and appearance from reviews I've seen in a local Chinese food group. Jasmine Garden Honey Garlic Spicy Wings: Crisp with a dark gold coating and thin sliced garlic and whole red peppers thrown in. Biggest impression was how hot they were temperature-wise, literally burning my fingers. An expected mix of garlicky, sweet, and spicy, but tame on all three fronts. Good feel. Above average. Barbecued Spare Ribs: Large, bone-in, plenty of char, and a thick non-traditional maroon glaze covering all sides, even the cross sections (a red flag for me). Another scalding hot item. Stiff and dry inside, with an overdone-pork-chop feel, requiring effort to get the meat off the bone. Felt like a reheat. Okay flavor, all of it from the exterior. Average. Beef Teriyaki: Arriving thin, somewhat pale and hardly glazed, these set expectations low, but the hints of edge crispness, the strong marinade (lots of ginger) and the tender, juicy interior all satisfied. Well above average. (The ribs looked really good and the teriyaki didn't, but it turned out to be the other way around.) Pork Fried Rice: Fresh grains, neutral flavor, with ample fresh pork, egg, onion, and bean sprouts. Neither moist nor dry. Above average. Lobster Sauce: Dark color, soft texture, pleasant sauce with black bean flavor, no whole beans, and an interesting faint nutty sweetness that elevated rather than obscured. I normally don't want my lobster sauce sweet, but this worked. Not too salty, not gloppy, and good rice cling. Well above average. Good sized bar crowd. Near-empty dining room. Air conditioning was practically non-existent. Service both friendly and feisty. An enjoyable overall experience, with some items matching the high praise and some not. It's only one visit, so things can change. For now, good enough for an return at some point, but not quite a destination.

Found during covid, worth the short drive from Taunton. Everything is so delicious but the popcorn chicken is a MUST. I'm having it tonight.

It used to be so good but the last few times it's been over salty, super greasy and just gross. Hoping they can get it together

Some of the items are greasier, the sauces are either bland or too sweet, and dishes care dominated by a more soy sauce and fewer vegetables. The service has always been basic either take out counter or delivery service one person at the counter trying to balance between counter service and phone orders and will frequently show some disdain when it's busy... The place has a few tables and there are no servers. Prices just like every where else are high now and if you get the choice of take out/delivery or dining there just make the call, don't waste your time at the counter and tip the delivery person well when he or she arrives at the door. This can minimize the additional frustration that you get when you pick up a high priced underwhelming order at the counter. Also the atmosphere at home doesn't smell like fryer grease. Needless to say it just doesn't compare to what it used to be and it saddens me. I remember when I would have given Quan's a five star review now I am giving them two.

We tend to select this stop to get a smorgasbord of apps. The crab ragoons are ON POINT! No grease and packed with flavor. Portions are plentiful and prices are excellent. The bartender, Nicole is one of the reasons we fell in love with this spot, aside from the food. She is so friendly and always provides impeccable service. Drinks are strong- the Mai Tai is not too sweet, but packs a punch. Check them out! You won't be disappointed with their dine in food.

We got take out and no one saved their leftovers because no one was impressed. The fried rice was basically white, as in it had barely any soy sauce. We got generals and orange. The generals had a whisper of spice, and the orange had no flavor including no citrus flavor. They have online ordering and ability to deliver, but I found their ordering for pick up to be odd since it had options like "more" "less" and 10 other selections but didn't say more or less of what and those options showed up for everything even if you selected an egg roll. The price was fair especially compared to some Attleboro Asian places. But overall I would either go into Providence for sit down, or order from route one in Attleboro.

The lady at the front was arguing with me in-front of the ppl inside the restaurant. I was embarrassed because I didn't want to pay 86$ when my meal was supposed to be half the price. That's called false advertisement. To make matters worse I went across the street to KFC and she called my phone and I answered thinking they were just going to say hey that's on us we will honor our advertisement online, but no, she just called to see if I really didn't want it, and just kept saying it was the old menu. Not only can they be shut down for this, ppl can file a complaint with the BBB. I'm not going to do that because it's not that serious, just know that prices online are not what they are going to charge when you get there. Thank god I didn't give them my card I would have taken them to small claims court. I will say this, there food is really good I have eaten here before when prices were lower on the "old menu", I don't want to take away from that the food is excellent, the place is clean, they just need to update the menu pricing so ppl know what to expect when they walk In or in my case when they order. Just a real example of the online menu versus when you get there to pay. They have wanton soup for 4$ you go inside its, $10.
