    Pan Fried Pork Buns
    Gary G.

Four-month-old modern looking authentic Chinese eatery in a Route 140 shopping center offering dumplings, noodles, dim sum dishes, and a slew of authentic Sichuan entrees. Spacious seating, with many booths and a long bar. Reasonable pricing, with all but a few items under $20. Easy parking. Seafood Pastry: Unique item, flaky outer shell (think phyllo dough), and a moist filling with chunks of softer seafood, with shrimp the predominant flavor. Good mouthfeel, good flavor, and something new. Fried Pork Buns: A favorite dish of mine, and theirs are unique in that there's much more meat, the meat is incredibly tender, and the filling doesn't separate from the buns. Nice thin lacy "skirt" that forms from contact with the frying surface. Good flavor, good texture (browned bao dough different from Peking ravioli), great dish. Elite. Soup Dumplings: Perfectly cooked, perfectly filled (pork and slurpable soup), and good flavor. Served with a different soy-based dipping sauce from the pork buns. Really no negative here, but nothing distinguishing from other good ones I've had. Pork with Sweet Bean Sauce: Shredded strands of stir-fried pork with a sweet bean sauce. Think hoisin sauce but not quite as sweet. Some strips of greenery provide flavor and texture contrast to this 99% meat dish. Served with four pancakes similar to mooshi for do-it-yourself wraps. Solid item as long as you like sweet. Twice Fried Pork: One of my "barometer" dishes I try at any first-time visit to a Sichuan restaurant, and Time Travel knocked it out of the park. Bacony strips on the cusp of crisp with great flexibility to match the alluring flavor. Thin-cut leeks for extra complexity and contrast, perfectly worked into the mix. Appealing heat that tingled with every bite, but wasn't trying to blow your face off. The perfect mix of flavor and heat, and of meat and vegetable. Easily elite and my favorite dish so far. Boiled Beef in Spicy Broth: Some of the most velvety, tender beef I ever had, boiled or not. The sauce it was sitting in had plenty of heat and flavor throughout, though not as spicy as it looked. Dried chilies, minced garlic and cilantro added to the equation if desired. Stunning and a dish I'll return to for sure. Veggie Dumplings: Tender green exterior and a soft and tasty interior of tofu and mushrooms. Good mouthfeel, much different from crumbly veggie dumplings. Asparagus Lettuce Salad: A cold item with a tall mound of long, thin, shaved strips they're calling asparagus, but technically it's a Chinese vegetable called celtus. Crisp and refreshing, with hints of vinegar and hot oil, and way more than a hint of garlic. Scallion Pancake: Very good batter flavor, great crispness, and light enough to not fill you up before the entrees. Even though the sauce didn't have ginger, it's darker and thicker than most, and a little tangy. Garlic Wings: Their standard wings, tossed in the same sauce they use for Garlic Eggplant. Tasty stuff, even inside. Saucing a little spicy but mostly sweet. Sizzling Fish in Spicy Oil: A gigantic bowl and an absolute bargain, with the fish large, tender, and infused with the spicy oil. Thin sauce, brothy texture, and not as oily as most. Plenty of dried chiles. Very enjoyable. Eggplant in Garlic Sauce: Bright purple vegetable, likely fried (without batter) to get them bacony crisp on the outside, while lusciously tender inside. It's loaded with little garlic bits, thick, and more sweet than garlicky, making it approachable for American palates. Spicy and Sour Potatoes: Solid rendition, with matchstick-like shreds of droopy but al dente potato, with both heat and sourness present, but less sour than most. Taro Puff Pastry: This is an absolute must at the end of the meal. Served hot, crispy, flaky and with a mildly sweet hot taro filling. I can't imagine a superior version. Service: This was another strong suit, handled by two young, affable men who doubled as kitchen staff. You've got to love having a server who not only brings you the food but who also has a hand in making it and who knows the menu firsthand, able to answer questions about ingredients and dish composition. Great guys. If you're looking for something authentic, fresh, and different, without going to Chinatown, this is an exciting new place that's worth a drive.

Excellent authentic Chinese cuisine. Service is superb! We came in for a late lunch. Best XLB In the area. The wrappers are chewy and thin. Hot and sour soup has such a balance flavor and it was full of great ingredients! Tofu, black woodear mushroom, bamboo shoots. Chongzhie fish filets were excellent!! Stir fry bok choy was solid! Shrimp chow mein lunch combo was great! We came back two more times in a week! The food quality and portion are wonderful! High recommended this restaurant! We also tried Taiwanese black pepper steak noodles and sweet and sour fish filet! Both are our favorites!! The pan fried pork Buns are delicious too!!! Eggplants with spicy garlic sauce was ok. The egg plants were a bit overcooked. They should not be too mushy. However some pieces were a just slight too soft. Other than that, everything was incredibly delicious! The owner was super nice to us and friendly staff!!!

Time Travel Cuisine is an awesome addition to Norton! Very close to Attleboro! The food is authentic, with high-quality ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors, whether you prefer mild or spicy dishes. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming--they even remembered us when we returned! We've been back twice already and have tried the fried chicken with dried chilies, dan dan noodles, Taiwanese beef noodle soup, green beans, mapo tofu, spicy Chongqing fish, and beef with green peppers--every dish has been amazing! The restaurant also has a full bar, which is a bonus. If you're looking for delicious, authentic Chinese food with outstanding service, this is the place to go. Highly recommend! We will be back for sure!

By far, this has to be in the top five best Chinese food I've ever eaten. Passing through town popped into the nearby hotel (Fairfield Inn Mansfield) This restaurant was highly recommended by Olivia upon check in. We unknowingly arrived seven minutes before closing. However They were gracious & kind - we were seated - placed our order and enjoyed a full meal and it was beyond delicious. Every bite every Morsel delicious. The customer service from Naomi and her team was just top notch and I highly recommend that you stay at the Fairfield Inn in Mansfield and you eat here next time you're in the area.

Looked under hot and new in our area on yelp and decided to give it a shot. The restaurant is hidden in a mini mall. It's bigger than you'd expect - bright, clean and friendly. Our waiter was incredibly helpful. We had seen something on their website that wasn't on the menu and when we asked about it he let us know it was new and hadn't been added yet but said we could still order it (highly recommend it - the lamb roujiamo). He also let us know that unlike a lot of places the Dan Dan noodles we were ordering are served cold (they were so good, my husband and I ate every last drop) . In addition to those we ordered the pan fried pork buns (totally unique and delicious) and the salt & pepper shrimp. Everything came out hot and fresh and the price was right. We definitely plan on going back and trying a bunch of different items.

First stop for lunch after visiting mass from Florida Love the food and the service Owner is always gracious to us

Receipt, charged a 1.00 for garlic flavor?
    Jay M.

Chow fun chicken was good but need more flavors. Noodles were fresh . More vegetables too needed. Wings I ordered garlic and charged 1.00 extra ? Why Wings were reheated, dry, and maybe reheated again and then sauced ... didn't take garlic and were dry cold. 4 wings 10 bucks... no thank you Owner was nice , friendly and restaurant is newly opened and I would try again as she is working to do things right... Other reviews all are positive , so maybe I had a limited bad lunch.

Very nice Chinese food! And warmly service!

Trattoria Della Nonna in Mansfield was incredible! The food is authentic, creative, and delicious…read more You can tell there's real passion behind each of the menu options. There's a nonna back there that knows what she's doing! The restaurant has two sides and is cozy. The wine selection is excellent, and our waiter recommended a Montepulciano that was so phenomenal we ended up ordering a whole bottle. We're still craving it days later. We started with the oysters, which I believe were from Wellfleet, and they were outstanding. They were meaty, fresh, and had no brine/salty taste at all. Even the bread with olive oil was memorable because it was perfectly salted and soo flavorful. For my entree, I had the chicken piccata with house‑made gnocchi--- simply divine. Truly one of the best gnocchis I've ever had! Wish there was more of them though. This was our first time trying the restaurant and it was SO good. Everything from the food, the wine, the service, it made for a fantastic experience. We'll definitely be back!

Our server, Cameron, was super friendly and chatty--all around personality plus. My one initial concern would be that he forgot to put our bread order in and we were drinking martinis on empty stomachs! Yikes! But we all came away none the worse for wear. The brûléed fig bruschetta special was amazeballs. Friends enjoyed salads. My chicken piccata was exceptional--tender and delicious, and the browned butter gnocchi were delicious--moreso the next day as leftovers. The lasagna was "different" but reportedly delicious as well. The spaghetti and meatballs were also hailed as delicious. I was a bit surprised that the house didn't comp for the birthday cheesecake (like Capital Grille and others do), but it didn't stop us from enjoying one of the most delicious slices ever. More lemon curd, please! The trio of gelato (vanilla, pistachio, salted caramel) were terrific as well.

Bummer- they do not take reservations for parties of 4 or smaller. We did get in early enough. no issues getting seated. Out waitress, Sophie, was bubbly and friendly. I was super disappointed to see the menu changed greatly since the last time I visited. No more "Baby Got Mac' or fun names of the food items. Dulled down menu. Let me tell you, That baby got mas was DELICIOUS!!! And I am super sad this specialty meal that I have found nowhere else is no longer a thing. I spoke to the waitress and we worked out making a replica with an order of mac and cheese. But it was delivered as a cheeseburger. She apologized and then the meal came out as mac and cheese but they forget the onion strings. I can share- this was massively lacking the flavor that the old Baby Got Mac had. I mean night and day! This makes me sad. Another issue, the waitress asked if I wanted a box and I said yes. She disappeared with my food. She threw it out! When I adressed it with her she apologized, made a comment about going in the bathroom to cry but she did take it off the bill. Overall- Mac and Walt's us to be a top tier place to eat in my opinion but affter last night, I think the place has definitely changed and not as good as it used to be. Sad day.
