We came here for lunch. They have a big lunch menu but we wanted leftovers so we ordered off the regular menu. The sign on the window said Soup & Appetizer with dinners which was great. The Appetizer (that was written singular) was BOTH an egg roll and cream cheese wontons. They were good. I got a long tough piece of cabbage but it was still good. And the cream cheese wontons were small but excellent-very thin and crunchy. I picked the Hot and Sour and hubby got the Won Ton soup. The soups were great. The Won Ton soup looked clear so we were doubtful but it was great and the wonton was perfectly balanced with hot and sour. I picked the House Pan Fried Noodles since the pictures looked so good. My husband got the BBQ pork fried rice and Chicken Chow Mein. The Pan Fried Noodles were amazing-crunchy noodles and extremely flavorful sauce with chicken, beef and shrimp. We both loved it. The Chicken Chow Mein and BBQ Pork Fried Rice was pretty bland. Fried Rice is no longer fried which gave it great flavor and no flavoring was added. We would definitely come back though. Although the food is okay...the entire restaurant looks dated. The worse is the men's restroom. The toilet bowl is heavily stained and the water reservoir is not even in place. Poor lighting in restroom and it stinks. The owner or management won't even clean it. The exhaust fan only works when the lights are turned on and the restrooms is design to have lights OFF when not in used. I understand that they want to save money, however, the entire men's room has a very horrible scent. their tables are sticking due to poor cleaning or wipe down by the servers. been coming here for years and always absolutely love it but today has made us realize that we cannot be going anymore. we always get great service and employees are great even since the employees have changed in recent years. today the waitress we usually get was nice up until the very end when she gave us attitude and was very mean about the tip not being enough. we spoke to the younger lady that is there all the time and she agreed that a tip is not obligated and is whatever the customer wants to give. I can admit that the person that tipped is not a good tipper but damn there are people that don't tip at all or tip pennys so why even make it a point to come at us like that. The orange chicken were dry with a wierd taste. The chow me in was really dry and flavorless. The chicken dumplings were soggy with a nasty sour taste. I really don't want to give this rating. It's not deserving of it but I would rather see a local business improve upon the concept than totally decimate it from having premature issues with their food. First and foremost, having a Chinese restaurant open its menu to incorporate hot pots, ramen and pho is intriguing but very, very risky. Case in point the Tonkotsu Ramen is more like an amalgamation of everything but Japanese Ramen. It has Chinese noodles with ingredients guided to be Chasu, Seaweed, sprouts, or hard boiled eggs but were more the contents of a wonton soup. Without already being so picky and pretentious I would like this place to focus on the dishes and incorporate authentic ingredients for the dish. If you put Chinese soup ingredients in the ramen or pho it's NOT ramen or pho. It's just a lost, mixed up melting pot of different cuisines. I really want this place and concept to succeed as the area doesn't have a great ramen and pho restaurant. You have to drive quite a distance to get that. This place does not open at 12 noon on Sunday! They open at 12:30 AM, they claim they have contacted Yelp and try to change the time. What's unfortunate is that we don't have another Chinese place very close to here. I like the food and normally I get a good server. I sent my friend to get the food. I'll give them 2 stars because I like the wonton soup and it's what keeps me coming back. But don't expect much when you order out. $60 for 3 dinners and a soup and no soup for your dinner when taking out. They always change the " this doesn't come with rice or this doesn't come with soup" whenever they want. I paid for add ons too and they weren't in my order. My fault for not checking when I received it but I called and was told those add ons didn't come with my dinner. That's why they're add ons! But they still charged me for it. Also no egg rolls or wontons. Avoid this place. sorry you charge enough to include a little egg roll and wonton. read more
