Went back today for some pho. It was the best pho I've had over here in this area. The service was excellent and quick just like before. The restaurant wasn't busy this time so it had more of a chill vibe and they had good music playing. I really like this place and plan to continue making visits.

What a hidden gem! I was in the area wanting some Viet food and saw this spot had the best reviews. I got their #23 Bún Tôm, Heo Nướng, Chả Giò - Charbroiled Pork, Shrimp, Egg Roll Vermicelli Noodle. It was a hefty portion and it was sooo yummy. The pork had such great flavor and everything together tasted fresh, light, and healthy. The workers are friendly and food comes out fast. I'd highly recommend!

Exploring this Viet spot that has super delicious dishes! I had: 1. Phở đặc biệt - eye round, flank, brisket, tendon, triple, one rib bone, fatty flank, meat balls 2. Cơm gà rô ti - cornish hen with buttered rice 3. Bánh mì tôm nướng 4. Trà đào - Peach iced tea 5. Soda trái vải - Lychee soda

This is my first time here. I will definitely come back to this location. At first a being seated it took about 10 minutes before anyone came to take my order and I was about ready to walk out. I'm glad I stayed. I ordered Filet Mignon and the Shrimp Spring Rolls. The flavor of the broth was on point and not salty at all. I added the chili oil to the broth and the taste was on point. The Spring Roll with the peanut sauce was very tasteful as well. Inside the restaurant they have alot of memorabilia and a comic collection on the walls.

Very welcoming vibe and food is DELICIOUS. No wait time when we went and service was 10/10. Recommend to anyone looking for a pho place.

Food is always delicious. Fresh ingredients. Great prices. Service was friendly. I just wish my waiter was more familiar with the menu. Ambiance is my fav.

Pho Star Bowl is the only pho so far that comes a little close to the pho in the OC. We usually go all the way out to the OC for our pho cravings. As we haven't found any close to us in the IE that are good. Except for Pho Star Bowl. The broth is tasty and the meats are fresh. The inside has a very inviting and unique design/decor. The service is good. We have enjoyed their combination pho, beef banh mi, their beef shrimp rice noodle salad and Thai tea. Everything has been on point. My only complaints is that they give very little veggies for the pho and their prices are a little higher than other pho joints. I like when places give you a big plate of veggies as I like a bunch of beans sprouts and basil in mine. Overall it's a great alternative to having to drive all the way to Anaheim.

Wow -- this place is a hidden gem in every sense. The contemporary art all over the walls creates such a fun, vibrant, and inviting atmosphere, and the food is incredible. The pho was packed with flavor, everything tasted fresh, and the whole experience was top-notch. Beautiful space, amazing food, and definitely a place I'd recommend!"

This is one of several pho restaurants in the area, and is definitely a hidden gem! Clean restaurant with quick, friendly service. Not only a good place to get your pho fix but their vermicelli dishes are delicious as well.

    Nice place to dine.

Ask the Community - Pho Star Bowl

Are they currently serving pho? Saw some reviews saying the were going to take it off the menu...?

Yes, was just there a few days ago…

Are they open for dine in now?

Yes! We went on 3/28/21 and ate inside :)

Are they open for Dine in right now?

Unfortunately they are only doing order out. But I would call to make sure since it's been a couple weeks since I ate there. It's so worth it though!

For this AREA this is a 5. For California GENERALLY, this is a 4, due to lack of menu options. I'm giving a 5 because comparatively, very few Chinese places offer soup let alone this authentic. Also due to the grape tea I got and the 10pc dumplings. Overall, this riverside-corona area is sparse and is moreso filled with Korean food than Chinese or Japanese. If you're in the area and need a good place to eat & chill, come here. My wait for inside was 1hr, went outside and got seated in 5 minutes. Make sure to spray for mosquitos and prepare for summer humidity. DO NOT COME IF you expect this to be Panda Express and you just want a personal platter with a whole Chinese cuisine. DO COME if you want authentic Chinese soup & dumplings with a side of rice or shrimp and quality time with others.

I also feel like the toppings on the ramen are perfect; a ramen egg, kikurage mushroom, green onion, and the meat! Our entire family grieved the loss of one of the best dim sum and Chinese cuisine restaurants in the Riverside area. But lately, there was a lot of talk, good talk, that the same owner had reopened here, a tinier bistro setting, not as flashy interior. So here we are, finally, late to the party, but sublimely happy. First things first. An order of their siu mai. Still just as plump, with their signature, wonderful pork- shrimp filling, my taste buds let out a big sigh of relief. I've had to endure some pretty horrible ones from other restaurants lately. Big Skyy's is superb. Next, the black bean pork ribs. Wonderful, just as we remembered. A healthy portion, plenty of meat in spite of the bones. Great gravy. Finally, the eggplant with beef. This one was extra special, made with generous amounts of filet mignon, eggplant cut in spears, cooked in a salty sweet garlic sauce that is very special. It was melt-in-your-mouth, swoon worthy. One of my favorites. They still accommodate large family groups, a few big round tables for 6 or more. The staff was very friendly and took the time to answer all our questions. They feature the same marvelous menu and the same chef who creates those traditional Chinese dishes with pizzazz. It's wonderful to re-acquaint ourselves with an old "friend". It's even better to know, the important things we remembered have not changed a bit. You would be right to assume we will be back!

It was not too loud in there and the place was relatively empty so that was nice. Biggest disappointment was service, because our table ordered chow mein and the waiter brought us chow fun (flat noodles with gravy). While I get that, he spent a minute trying to figure out where the item was and couldn't find it. I reviewed pics on here and it seems like other people got the thick yellow noodles for chow mein. Anyway, they replaced it for us but I overheard the waiter tell his manager that we ordered chow fun by accident. The manager then told us something about "our mistake" upon paying, placing blame on us . The manager was nice about it, but we repeatedly told the waiter chow mein and he kept correcting us to chow fun. Also, there is a section of the menu labeled chow mein and a separate page labeled chow fun. I think I know what we ordered. Disappointing.
