I really wasn't sure what to expect with Thai food in Aiken but am so happy to report they have great Pad See Ew. My husband had been before and took the whole fam back. Our toddler was still figuring out solid foods so we weren't sure what to get for him and the waitress offered to bring us some steamed veggies and rice and sauce just for him! I'm not sure how much he ate but really appreciated they were willing to accommodate him and help us enjoy our family meal. My dish was huge- I think I ate half and took half home but was absolutely stuffed by the half I ate in restaurant! And Thai food reheats well IMO. The sitting area is nice and roomy and they had clean bathrooms. I'm sad this place isn't on my usual path because I'd go weekly! read more

I've been craving some pad Thai since moving from Florida many many years ago and I've finally found my spot for it! It's a little hole in the wall location which makes for all the more excitement. You can order takeout or sit down. Sitting down is a quaint ambiance that is very peaceful. The staff is AMAZING! They are so kind and greet you with the biggest smile. We started our meal with the spring rolls which are served with a chili sauce which was delectable! My SO ordered the Thai fried rice and is was plenty of food and delicious. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and it was everything I've been wanting and more! You have the option to change the spice level which allows you to vary based on how spicy youre feeling. We will definitely make this place a frequent spot for dinner! Especially since now I want to try everything on the menu. read more

When it comes to local eats- this unassuming gem is in our top three. The staff are always friendly and happy to see us return. The wonton soup is light and flavorful, not saturated with sodium. It's one of our favorites. Another tasty appetizer option is the spring rolls which comes with five rolls and sweet chili sauce. For entrees, hubby's typical go-to is Thai Fried Rice with chicken. My go to is Paw Sie Ew with chicken or shrimp. We appreciate they are happy to adjust the spice level- even if you say no spice, which we often do because we are lightweights these days. The food is delicious and the dinner portions are so large that we always save half of the entree for another meal the next day. Even the lunch portions we have some leftovers. It's a low-key spot where you can get wonderful food at a reasonable price that is good for you. I also love how every time we never know what genre of music will be playing. It's enjoyable to look around and see the Thai culture on display in the decor as well. Sometimes we've googled the places on the posters and it made for interesting conversation while savoring our meal. The visual appeal is subtle and beautiful. We had not been here in a while and decided to order takeout on Thursday. What a mistake. We ordered Massaman curry and Pad Pak. The curry is described in the online menu as containing "coconut milk, potatoes, pineapple chunks, and white onions. My order contained neither potato nor pineapple. There may have been 2 small pieces of onion. Interestingly, there were sliced red peppers which are not in the menu description. The chosen protein was chicken and it was hammered. In addition to the missing ingredients, the curry had a distinct lack of umami as if the cook forgot the fish sauce. The Pad Pak was just as bad. The same overcooked chicken made its was into this dish. I don't understand how a stir-fried dish can have limp and insipid broccoli and carrots. One can maker better stir fry at home using a bag of Aldi's frozen Asian vegetables! It's safe to say we won't be back. read more

The staff doesn't talk that much but I'm guessing it's because of the language difference. It's usually clean and they give large potions of food. I always get the red curry with chicken and it is consistently delicious. I believe it is a family run restaurant so there are often only 1 or 2 servers, but they are very polite and attentive. The prices are great for the amount of food you get. I also recommend trying the Thai tea. read more

I wish Aiken had a 5 star Thai restaurant. When this place first opened, it was good and we came several times then this year the menu was just not the same. It were the same but it did not taste the same. When I inquired, I was told they removed the Fish sauce out of all the dishes because they had complaints from the locals. Now I've been eating Thai most of my adult life and I can't imagine removing such an important ingredient. However, it does explain why it doesn't taste the same and is lacking the depth that Thai food usually offers. I miss the old way of cooking and can only hope that they add the fish sauce back in as it is the only Thai restaurant in town and we love Thai! read more

I'm not sure how authentic it is but it matched my expectations of spicy Thai food. I ordered a small Tom yum soup and chicken drunken noodles. I stopped in for lunch the other day, and was rewarded with a great meal. This is one of those places that you pass and tell yourself that you need to go there one of these days. The outside is is not grandiose. Which, I have learned is not an accurate measurement of the restaurant itself. I was already hungry when I got there, but when I walked through the door and was hit with the smell of the food, I became famished. The inside is small but there was plenty of room to dine in. I also noticed several carry out orders being picked up. I only saw one server, and she did it all. She was very nice and knew the menu well. I started with the Tom Ka soup. It was delicious. The pieces of tomato were not over cooked and actually tasted like tomatoes. The soup was flavorful but not too spicy. Hats off to the server who talked to me about heat and nailed what I wanted. I also had the pork massiman. It was good as well. Not as good as the soup, but I think I was spoiled by the soup. One thing, for the protein they only offer pork, chicken, tofu, and shrimp. No beef. I don't know why, but I sort of suspect a religious thing. In short, this place has greatly improved since my last visit. Prices are still very reasonable. While this may not be the absolute best restaurant in Aiken, it is by far the best Thai food I have had in years. If you like Thai food, this place is a must. If you haven't tried Thai but want to give it a try, why not go for good Thai? If you weren't even aware that there was such a thing Thai food, take a walk on the wild side and go to the Jasmine Rice. Oh, I almost forgot, try the Thai tea. Love dumplings as a starter, Jasmine tea, Tom Yum soup with chicken, curry and stir fry is all wonderful so it's always a hard decision. Super delicious! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Thai food. This is a really tiny place and doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is really good. We were nervous the first time we went as there was no one in the place. But we noticed a stream of take outs. So that answered that. I've been twice so far and the staff are just phenomenal as well as the food. My dad went with us this second time around (first time was just with my mom who also loves Thai). He's more of a meat and potatoes kind of guy and he could not stop raving about the food. Sorry I can't name anything I've eaten there, but everything is really good. I discovered Thai Jasmine Rice during the pandemic, so I've only ever ordered to-go. Id fallen in love with their massaman curry! So, even after moving to Savannah GA, I stopped by yesterday & ate inside. They've definitely revamped the interior, menu & changed the way you order. I'm not sure I am a fan of their new way of ordering. I'd actually stopped by the week before while in town with family, and it was difficult for us to compromise on what to order, so we ended up leaving. Their "family" option only includes 2 drinks. And when I ordered myself a "small" order of curry, 2 spring rolls & a beverage, my total was over $17. I used to order a large to-go of curry for $17! The employees are always very kind & accommodating, and their chicken massaman is the best I've- so I will continue to visit when I'm in the area. read more

We were visiting from Aiken from Charlotte and discovered this hidden gem. This place is fantastic. The Tom Yum soup is soooo good. I also had the green curry and it was so yummy as well. My daughter had eaten not long before we went there and wasn't very hungry so she got the dumplings and loved them too. The inside isn't fancy but the waiter was super nice and attentive and the service was fast. Highly recommend it. If I lived here I'd be ordering from here once a week. read more
