Medical and dental professionals have an obligation and oath to care for and when a treatment plan to honor completing the procedure not doing half and than abandoning the patient because an office policy wasn't followed and it appears the office didn't follow their own policy until it became convenient to discontinue patient care. this was only a referral from 2016-current so it was a pretty long referral The point being if you are gonna start a dental procedure finish what you start. I can live with office policy unfinished dental work is pretty messed up especially a new referral is going to take 3 plus months. All I ask is finish what you started and what we agreed upon. I have been seeing Dr. Augustine for years and he was great until the past year or so. I went to him originally to get the ok to get adult braces. After the braces I went to him to get a few implants and he said he stands behind his work so if it fails he will place it again. After a few years an implant failed & he said he would replace it in 1 yr. I then get a bill for $110 in Oct. 2024 I spoke with Nicole (billing) asking what it was for, she was going to check with Insurance. I didn't hear anything until March 2025 when I got another bill for $110, no explanation on either bills, no date of service, or service date. I asked for that info & she couldn't tell me any of it. I mentioned she was going to check with Insurance to see if I really owed it and she stated it's not her job to check that. I said I don't have an issue paying what I owe as long as I know what and when it's for. She got angry with me & said she can't go back that far, & ended up hanging up on me. Both my husband and I then get a letter from Dr. Augustine that he is ending our relationship and will no longer see us and no he never replaced the implant that failed. I don't know what's changed with him over the past 1 1/2 yrs, but I would not recommend him after such a petty thing. All I wanted was an actual invoice for what they said I owed them for. I would have paid had they sent me more than a bill with a dollar amount and no other information. read more

He takes time to carefully and meticulously explain what he's doing and why, and if there are alternatives. He is direct and honest in his assessment of the costs associated with each procedure. He then asks if I have any questions, and listens and answers thoughtfully and sensitively. Patients are never made to feel rushed or that their questions are frivolous. Once decided upon, the procedure is performed with great care, and Dr. Augustine and his staff genuinely want to know how you're doing and if you're comfortable before, during and after. After approximately six years of going to Dr. Augustine's office, I was dismissed from the practice with no real justification. Never received a letter, although his secretary claimed one was sent to my address, and that it was due to "chronic cancelations". I was never told anything about any cancelations I may have made, but certainly nothing out of the ordinary over the years. I did cancel an appointment that was quite expensive weeks before it was scheduled, and I suspect because I opted out of the expensive procedure that the dentist "retaliated." (Or at least that's my only theory). I then requested a copy of the letter, and it was never sent. Very unprofessional and rude secretary. In any case, do shop around. Ethical, professional service should be at the core of any service provider. On a positive note, my dental hygenist, Brittney, was awesome, and really the only reason I kept coming back. read more

I went to Dr. Augustine for an implant that was long overdue. My consultation was great. Dr. Augustine took x-rays and explained what I needed and how the procedure would go. I was booked for their first available appointment which was in December. I got a call a few days later saying that an earlier appointment opened up and would I want that one. Heck yes I want a sooner appointment! So I go in for the procedure and I couldn't believe how quick everything went! I waited 5 minutes in the beautiful waiting room before I was brought back to the room. It was the quickest implant I have ever had! I usually hate getting the numbing shots but Dr. Augustine was gentle and the pain was minimal. I was in and out of the office within an hour. If you are looking for a specialist for your implant then Dr. Jason Augustine is your guy. read more

I was horrified at the thought of loosing my natural front tooth when I was diagnosed with a diseased tooth and an implant was recommended. Dr. Augustine was great about explaining the process by showing pics etc and he was very honest about how the end result would look. Each individual responds differently to treatment and some of the burden is on the patient, so be sure to follow directions! He and his staff were very competent and he has a way of soothing your nerves and does a great job of explaining things accurately so you know exactly what to expect. I had a bit of a melt down the morning of the procedure and he calmed my nerves by taking time to speak to me personally on the phone and assuring me he would do what was needed to make sure I was comfortable. I can say I did not experience any pain during the procedure, just some pressure and mild pinching in the gum area on those appointments when he had to remove the temp crown. I had to wear my temp crown for an extended period of time and it held up great. My general dentist who I saw for the permanent crown kept saying what a great job Dr. Augustine did, said it made his job so much easier due to the way he created the temp and the way he placed the implant etc. Today I received my permanent crown,and due to the efforts and skills of Dr. Augustine I have my smile back again! Wow. What an experience! Dr. Augustine is the best. I have had an bridge on my front teeth for 20+ years that has looked terrible. I started the process of getting it replaced with my General Dentist Dr. Matthew Noll. He referred me to Dr. Augustine for the gum procedure I needed to make my smile look natural and healthy. I have had gum surgery in the past that was horrible, to needless to say getting this work done was pretty terrifying. Everyone in this office was so kind and eager to answer all of my questions. My lower front tooth had a receding gum. Dr. Augustine grafted a donor tissue from my palate, then stitched it to the gum tissue surrounding the exposed root. A little scared of this procedure, Dr. Augustine and his staff were excellent in my care. The experience and recovery was easier than I had imagined. Highly recommend. read more

Do your homework first. I had a VERY bad experience here. A few days after my surgery it got infected and I had to go to another doctor who even commented on the prior work as "pretty bad." I should have listened to my instincts when the receptionist/office manager? was rude to me and kept using profanity every couple of words. Maybe she was having a bad day, but when I confronted her on it, she just rolled her eyes as if I was the one with the problem. The only good thing that came of the whole experience was MG Pharmacy next door. Seemed like a family owned business and they were very helpful. I'd never been there before but they went out of their way to tell me about the manufacturer and they guaranteed the lowest price anywhere in town. They even offered me water and a bagel. I'll definitely go back to MG Pharmacy, lovely people, and great prices. But I'm scratching Dr. Augustine off the list. read more
