It's hard to find quality dental work when all you have is ahcccs insurance, (welfare coverage). I have had bad experiences in the past with other dentists and have never found one that I was comfortable with until now . I was referred by a friend and her whole family goes here. I have been here 3 times now and I am so happy with the care and cleanliness of the whole office . Brianna is a very sweet girl and is very professional. VERY DISAPPOINTING Experience!!! I had originally gone in and given my card information to the receptionist Brianna (or whatever) and she said she would call me to let me know if they accepted my insurance. She did call me and verify my insurance and set me up with an appointment. Their hours are very limited and wacky, every other Monday they close early and they are not open on Fridays. So I worked around that by taking time off of work to get to my appointment. I have a very BUSY and hectic schedule aside from work. I got to my appointment ahead of time and proceeded to start filling out paperwork. Brianna started calling the info on my card which was interesting because i had already given her the card and according to her it was verified prior to me coming, OTHERWISE why would she schedule me an appointment. She gets off the phone while I'm halfway though the paperwork and tells me they don't accept my insurance. I have to say, just like everyone else these days, "who has time to be jerked around like that" ?!?!?!?! I took time off of work! I'm busy! I, like you who are reading this, don't have time to waste nor the money to be playing games. If they didn't accept my insurance then they should have NEVER made and appointment with me. If this is any indication of the organization of the office then you might want to think again before you decide to go here! read more

I made the switch to JC dental this past year and I'm glad that I did! Dr. Chung is great with his patients and really cares about your oral health. Previously, I've had dentists who are not very thorough at explaining future treatment plans but Dr. Chung is great at this. He makes you feel included and ensures that you understand what's going on with your teeth. Staff are always on time and considerate of my appointment time and haven't had any trouble calling in or getting an appointment. The layout is more open, but they have walls up between dental chairs. I've never had a problem with the layout and haven't felt uncomfortable. They also have the newest X-ray equipment which makes those annoying X-rays fly by and feel less painful. The only reason I'm reducing to four stars is because I think that the teeth cleaning process could be a bit more thorough. It often seems that the assistants rush through things and are sometimes a little rough. If that was improved, I'd likely give this place five stars. This is by far the most honest professional dental establishment I have been to yet. The doc is professional honest clean helpful and the quality is outstanding. One thing that stood out the most for me is this is the first dentist i have seen that didn't nickle and dime me. The dentist is extremely gentle!!! He makes sure your experience is as painless and very informative. Goes over the complete treatment plan and at every visit, continues to go over and makes sure that you are informed and answers any questions every step of the way. I had extremely bad dry mouth and they destroyed my signature smile; at JC, I was given MY smile back!!! I strongly recommend this establishment. My daughter recommended I go to Dr. Chung. She not only is a patient of Dr. Chung but so is my granddaughter and family who drive from Surprise to be treated by Dr. Chung. I will certainly recommend my son go to Dr. Chung when he needs a dentist. The whole family will then be patients of his. I am very terrified of going to a dentist but my experience with Dr. Chung was definitely five star star. He is personable, warm, friendly and compassionate. He doesn't try to talk you into any expensive procedures. He explains to you what you may need and you make the decision. His charges are very reasonable and he takes most insurance plans. His office staff ladies are wonderful. In short I had a very positive experience at his office. I don't care if his office is small, open air, or you are close to someone else getting treatment.
