I was in a motor vehicle accident 20+ years ago and lost the majority of my teeth and crushed a section of my jaw. I have had numerous reconstructive procedures to put me "back together." I have implants and was incredibly unhappy with how the prosthodontist had designed my last set of teeth. My bite was off which resulted in headaches and aesthetically, I didn't look like me. Dr. Baldwin literally transformed my mouth and I am pretty much where I was prior to my accident. My profile and lip support are back. My teeth are proportioned, my bite is perfect and my headaches are gone. I have spent the last 20 years in a dental chair due to the extent of my injuries and reconstruction and can say Dr. Baldwin and his staff are a step above the rest. Great Dentist - easy as 123 1) All the new high tech equipment. 2) Very personable office. 3) Jason & his assistant are very good at there jobs. I broke my tooth a couple weeks ago and needed a dentist. A friend recommended Jason to me. So I call for appointment, The receptionist was great and setup appointment for the next day. Easy to find off the 280 & 85 freeway, so I was on time for a change. Since it had been a good five years, the last time a dentist. I needed a cleaning a long with crown on my broke tooth. With in two hours x-ray, clean and a temporary crown. Did I mention all the new equipment: X-rays now days are way different sensor put in your mouth and read on a computer screen without waiting. While waiting see that they do teeth whiting with Zoom and teeth straighting with Invesalign. 10 days later the new crown was in and installed I'm good as new. I recommend Dr Baldwin to any one looking for a great dentist. read more

I've been seeing one or the other of the Dr. Baldwins for almost 30 years now! I first started coming to this office when Dr. Jay K. Baldwin was running the place in the early 80's. I always liked him a lot as a dentist and kept up my regular visits. Imagine my surprise to walk in one day and see the new version, Dr. Jason Baldwin, standing in his place. At first I was a little put off by this and wished I had been notified ahead of time. However, any and all feelings of that sort were vanquished completely for as much as I liked Dr. Jay K. Baldwin; I like his son even better! And that's not to be taken as an insult to dad either. One of the main reasons I have kept coming here for all these years has been the wonderful routine care I receive from my dental hygienist, Loretta. She is after all stuck with what most consider icky work; taking care of regular teeth cleaning. But she goes about her job with the utmost of personal care and concern for her patients. She knows what bothers me and what I like and don't like and she listens if I ask for something different. She is caring without being pushy and overbearing. It's a nice mix. And best of all, it doesn't hurt when she does her procedures because she is very careful about that. She's happy and fun and reminds me of Nicole Sullivan ex-MAD TV comic. The new Dr. Baldwin has been a pleasure for me to see as well. I have had to have a few fillings redone lately and that has required the obligatory sit in the chair get your mouth numb, Novocain thing. He did such a fine job with my last one that the shot was a lot less unpleasant (they used a new numbing stuff ahead of time) and, it did wear off quickly and was not painful later as he promised me. I thought he was joking. He has a great sense of humor, and he and the staff are always pleasant when you visit. The office is equipped with the latest digital x-ray technology and they seem to be up and running on a lot of current dental procedures as well. Recommended to Dr. Baldwin through a colleague and I am very happy with my decision to start coming here. At first I started to come strictly for the convenience (it was very close to where I used to live) but even now, living about 20 minutes away, I will still continue to come here. Like most people, I HATE going to the dentist. Luckily, Dr. Baldwin will numb you VERY well before any procedure. Everyone in that office takes part in making your visit feel very personal. I was looking for a NEW Dentist and Dr. Jason Baldwin was recommended by a friend. I have had 3 visits now and I am really, really happy with his technology and staff. It's been a while since I had visited a dentist and wow, have the tools changed and Dr. Baldwin has all the latest gadgets that made my visit super comfortable and fast. I have since recommended my wife and plan to also bring in my older son. He's gained my trust and respect and for someone that's never been a fan of going to the Dentist I don't think twice about it. My wife is going to see him for the new laser teeth whitening technology he has which will eiminate the need for strips. If it works I may give it a shot too... I feel really bad. I meant to update this sooner, but totally forgot to. So, while my last cleaning did hurt, I must say, the just went to the dentist clean feel lasted a really really long time. I would say, if you are not a huge fan of the dentist and don't like cleanings, ask for Myra (I think that is her name). She is gentle. If you want your teeth deep cleaned, ask for Lori. She is no nonsense, but will get your teeth very, very clean. Dr. Baldwin called me after my previous review to talk about my experience. He was very respectful, and said I was entitled to my feeling and opinions, but he just wanted to be sure he knew what happened because his patients are important to him, and he wants to make sure we have a good experience. Dr. Baldwin and his staff are top-notch. They are always professional and polite. Since I squeeze in appointments around my lunch break, I appreciate that Dr. Baldwin's office is punctual with my appointments (.e., no wait time). My hygienist at Dr. Baldwin's office, Maya, is thorough yet painless with cleanings. Not only is he engaging and upbeat, Dr. Baldwin does great work. As I get older, my teeth chip easily - but Dr. Baldwin makes it good as new (and the teeth he fixed amazingly haven't re-chipped). He administers shots very slowly so it's as painless as possible. My family and I have been going to Dr. Baldwin for several years - prior office was dated, but the new office is extremely well executed and stylish. Staff has always been a pleasure to work with. The hygienist Loretta is amazing - I say she has the hands of a surgeon! Great control, friendly and attentive. Dr. Baldwin himself is always upbeat, friendly and extremely professional. I noted that with other dentists I was always being recommended so many different additional procedures, but with Dr. Baldwin he focuses on the necessary rather than badgering about additional services. He responded to my (urgent) phone call after a crown fell off and offered to come in on Sat to help. When I saw him on Monday he was so excellent and it was so comfortable to be with him and his assistant. I cannot recommend him more highly. I Highly recommend Dr. Jason Badlwin. Fantastic service, great staff and one of the nicest doctors I have ever met. They are great at scheduling appointment, calling to remind, and text message reminder. I was referred to Dr Badwin by Oral surgeon after my dentist could not complete the implant/ implant abutment. Dr. Baldwin is an excellent dentist. I have gone to the same practice for over twenty years, but his staff and lab don't help his credibility. The night guard and whitening trays I ordered were not checked for proper fit and functionality. The whitening trays were to shallow to work effectively, and the mouth guard caused additional pain in my jaw. Another dentist confirmed this and did what he could to adjust the mouth guard. Had Dr. Baldwin's staff checked both of these at the time I received them, I would not be writing this review. Had his office responded to the email I sent regarding my concerns, I would not have changed dentist's. I paid two-thirds more money for the trays than three other dentists charge in South San Jose. I can regretfully imagine his profit margin. It's disappointing to me to leave his practice. I have no complaints with him, just his staff. The only positive experience I can gain from this is a check for a full refund for something that can't be used. read more

Our family has been going to Dr. Baldwin since my children were very little. We were there before Jason took over for his Dad. My children actually look forward to going to the dentist. Dr. Baldwin and ALL of his staff are warm, friendly, accommodating and kid friendly. I don't think I could trust my children with anyone else. I have never had a negative experience in their office. The office is clean and modern. Everyone on the staff is friendly, attentive and professional. They send you reminders and notifications and are so organized. And of course Dr Baldwin is awesome. read more

I went to Dr. Baldwin to have an old filling replaced. When I went in for my appointment he gave me a shot and told me to relax and wait about 20 minutes for the Novocain to take effect. Once 20 minutes had passed the doctor came back, I told him that I did not feel any numbness so he gave me shot #2. I waited another 20-30 minutes. Dr. Baldwin came back again and poked around my mouth but I let him know that I could still feel everything. So he proceeded to give me shot #3. My jaw was still not numb! But my inner ear was and so was the whole side of my head. After this, the good doctor yawned and said, well let's just forget it for today. Why don't you come back next week and we will try again. To say the very least, I was not feeling much confidence in Dr. Baldwin and decided not to go back. Fast forward a year later - his office has sent me to collections for a night guard I never got because I didn't want to go back! There are too many good dentist out there to go back to an office like this. read more

I am very happy getting my composite filling from Dr Baldwin. He is very skilled. His office staff was very helpful and squeezed me in for a next day appt since my tooth was hurting. Dr Baldwin took care of my cavity, and is careful enough to redo Xray to check before filling. Dr Baldwin also replaced my old amalgam filling with the composite filling. Since one of my teeth cracked before from amalgam, I am glad that he offers composite filling which restores the strength of the tooth instead of weakening it with amalgam. He is very skilled with the composite filling. It is shaped well and the bite is adjusted perfectly. I had my composite filling done at 10:30am and was able to drink iced cold drink all afternoon without hurting or feeling sensitive. I would not have been able to drink iced cold drink with amalgam filling so soon. Bonus -- Dr Baldwin is not the chatty type. I hate it when the other dentists chat with me while I am in the chair with my mouth wide open and the aspirator going SCHHHHHHHH.... what am I supposed to say? read more
