Ok seriously, I absolutely love Doctor Mussmannnnn (yup I'm screaming it lol) and his Team! They really have been taking great care of me and I noticed he's the same caring person to all the other patients as well (I say that because, it's always so packed in his office! Ppl are NOT going to come where they are mistreated ) He's a great guy and extremely HANDSOME wowwww ---NO, NO SERIOUSLY YALL !!!!!! Truly a blessing to his wife right! Oh, and his teammmm ( yup they love us too) they're also blessed to work together with such an Amazingly warm hearted person. And handsome ( oh I already said that!) Dr. Mussman projects his positive energy into his team and his humbleness into his work. He's patient and thorough. The whole place is so thoughtful! Imma need him to be my overall doctor ( primary care doctor lol) cause he really listens and doesn't seem distracted when he's caring for me and my family.) If you are looking for a Doctor who's willing to go the extra mile to care for his family (aka patients aka me ) , a surgeon who's well rounded and pays attention to detail and extremely professional ( all lll of his staff there are amazing and very professional, it's beautiful.) oh and his offices are very Classy, sexy, Sassy really inviting! They do it all there ( you just gotta check in out for yourself! Everyone is pretty and happy yk) I've been to some raunchy offices that do the same work that Dr. Mussman's office does . The people in an out of Dr. Mussman's offices look really pretty after the many different procedures that they do there (and trust me I beezz looking) But, Truthfully and seriously, I recommend Dr. Mussman and his team! He's passionate about his work, patients and his staff! He's truly amazing at his craft SERIOUSLY!!! He goes above and beyond to be perfect and make us perfect-because he genuinely cares about us! Patient BEWARE, this may not be a popular opinion but I feel this is important to share. Today, I escorted my wife for a consult with Dr. Jason Mussman. He actually came highly recommended from Luke Air Force. My wife and I are Active Duty and have been working for the last 4 months to secure a special referral to Dr. Mussman. Simply put, I've never experienced the level disrespect towards a woman needing specialized care in an effort to reduce pain in and around her breasts due to accessory breast tissue. Not only did he decline her case (which we only have very limited in network specialists), he went on to elaborate to her that "people are dying of actual cancer and she should consider herself lucky that she's dying and come to live with this". I've never experienced a medical professional actually dismiss a patient and challenge whether they are in the pain they are claiming to be in. When my wife got emotional and choked up, instead of consoling or trying to understand why, he simply concluded with "I hope you find who you're looking for, it's not me and walked out of the room. After walking out of the room, his female medical assistant who appeared just as emotional and in awe as us consoled us, apologized and offered us the room as long as we needed. It was validating to see her genuine reaction to the Physician she was working under. I work in the medical field within the Navy and I work with patients everyday. To be someone who has the specialty skillset to change a woman's life for the better and support lowering her pain with a medically necessary procedure and not only choose not too but to beat her down emotionally the way he did. It was by far the most difficult thing I have ever experienced and I am a current cancer patient myself. There isn't any recourse we can take on him or his team but if I can prevent someone else from ever experience what we my wife experienced today, it would make this post worth while. I encourage the medical team, management of Dr. Mussman to contact myself and or our case management team for some 360 feedback and education on empathy and patient centered care, I would have some choice words for this team. I went to Dr. Mussman for a sonogram on my legs prior to getting my spider veins treated. As per medical procedures, the doctor must perform a sonogram to make sure there aren't problems going on with the deeper veins in your legs. After the sonogram, I was told that my numbers were very high on one leg in particular. I said that I had had an EVLT procedure on both legs 5 years back and that the veins inside of my legs should be closed off due to the prior procedure. He said they reopened on both legs, but especially the right leg. Keep in mind this is a plastic surgery/cosmetic center. When I asked him how many EVLT procedures he had done, he couldn't give me a number, but instead said that he was newly trained in this technique. I said that I would go back to my original doctor (which I should have done in the first place, however I wanted some place closer to me-lesson learned). Dr. Mussman rudely responded with, "well the other Dr. didn't get them closed the first time, what makes you think he would be able to now." I took the written findings of Dr. Mussman back to Dr. Sharma-, who is well renowned for leg vein surgery. He has been on TV and is very well respected. When I went back to Dr. Sharma- to have a second opinion sonogram, my numbers were where they should be. There was just one little spot that was open which could be treated with sclerotherapy. Dr. Mussman originally said that I would either need to have my veins stripped, or they could use a type of internal glue to close off the veins. I said I didn't want anything foreign put into my body. So buyer beware! Question your doctor's and their experience. Dr. Mussman might be a good cosmetic surgeon, but he doesn't specialize in vein surgery. This "one stop shopping" that doctors are trying to tote should not be done. I have been a patient of Dr. Mussman's for several years now. At 45 years old, I am now on my fifth Basal cell carcinoma, three of which have been on my face. Understandably, these are not fun visits but Dr. Mussman always works hard to keep me comfortable and relaxed. He shows true concern and is interested in the very best results.
