I think what sets the office apart from its competitors is that his staff is genuinely customer service oriented towards their clients. It's rare to see a practice have such a high level of attentiveness, empathy, and compassion for their patients given the amount of business they do. You are treated quite literally like family. After he retired, Dr. Nocerino took over and I didn't really have the same pleasant experiences I had previously. The atmosphere was just weird. I also had a minor cavity on the side of my tooth several years ago and had that filled by Dr. Nocerino. I went back to NY and months later it fell off...I went back to CT to have it fixed and it was fine...although...a couple years later I decided to switch to a NY based dentist as I was no longer living with my parents or under their insurance plan. I had an x ray the other week and they said my previous dentist (Dr. Nocerino) had accidentally drilled into my neighboring tooth that was completely fine...and I had to get my filling re-done on the side of my tooth because it wasn't done properly and was coming off. So years later this comes back to me and bites me in the butt and I'm obviously not happy...I had to pay $420 for this mistake...I now go to an all female staff dentist and they're so efficient and have the latest technology. On top of my experience, apparently this office has a lot of patients and my family makes an appointment waaaay in advance and the front desk always says "call morning of your appointment to make sure it's still ok to come in". They call and their appointments are cancelled. How fishy....When people make appointments, honor them....what is this selective favoritism whatever? What is this based on? Really sketchy.

My partner had a filling/cap come out on a Friday night -- the second time this had happened. He called first thing Monday morning and explained that the tooth was extremely sensitive and that he was having difficulty eating. The receptionist told him they could squeeze him in on Tuesday, so he waited for that appointment rather than immediately seeking care elsewhere. Then, only two hours before his scheduled appointment on Tuesday, the office called to tell him that the doctor was completely booked and could no longer see him. Their solution was to offer him an appointment in the middle of the following week. That level of patient care is completely unacceptable to me. This was not a routine cleaning or something that could comfortably wait another week. His tooth was exposed, extremely sensitive, and painful enough that eating was difficult. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of concern, understanding, or effort to accommodate him after they were the ones who had already scheduled the appointment. He ultimately decided to switch dentists. His new dentist got him in and had the problem fixed within about 20 minutes. It is incredibly disappointing that a longtime dental office could not find a way to address a patient with an urgent issue -- particularly when the restoration had already failed twice. The last-minute cancellation, lack of urgency, and overall dismissive treatment of a patient in discomfort were awful. We expected much better care and basic consideration from a dental practice. After this experience, he will not be returning, and I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for a responsive, accommodating dental office.

During a recent procedure, anesthesia was administered into her tongue instead of gum. When this was brought to Dr. Fatse's attention, the response was simply, "I'm sorry." Three days after the procedure, the numbness had still not resolved. My mother contacted the office to report the issue and seek guidance. She was advised to take Advil, but no further explanation or follow-up was provided regarding the prolonged loss of sensation. I am disappointed by the lack of communication and concern surrounding what appears to be an unusual outcome. Patients deserve the best in care, and if Dr. Fatse can't inject anesthetic properly, it seems rather alarming. Based on this experience, I felt it was important to share our concerns so that prospective patients can make an informed decision when choosing a dental provider.
