Jason's Deli Broccoli and Cheese soup is the best! And this location has Tiff Treats!!

Just an honest review. I have been eating at the Jason's deli over on 34th and Bell Street for years. Thought I would give the Wolflin location a try. The positive thing I have to say is that the employees were very cordial and nice, and looked very busy, not standing around or goofing off. I did see one of the cooks in the back drinking something While she was preparing food, which I know is a health violation. I have been eating in the beef eater sandwich for years, it's my all-time favorite and I always order it when I go to Jason's deli. Today the roast beef tasted strange and it had a bitter type taste to it. I did not enjoy it at all. The salad bar was good fresh and clean. Well stocked. To my dismay, when I decided to get up and go get an ice cream (which was very disappointing that they did not have vanilla ice cream, but sometimes that happens), when I came back to my table less than 30 seconds later, they had taken my food and cleaned my table. Although I appreciate their promptness and trying to clean the tables and it's much better than food stacking up on the tables, I was not finished with my food and they took it away. I spent over $20 on a sandwich and a salad which is already expensive, and I did not even get to finish my food. Very disappointed. I don't think I will be back to this location. I went back-and-forth within myself, whether or not I should tell the manager, but I did not want to be one of those types of customers, so I didn't say anything. I left not feeling satisfied, the roast beef was weird tasting, and they took my food before I was finished. Very disappointed. One last thing, I went to the restroom twice. Each time it was dirty, and also the second time there were no paper towels for me to dry my hands. there were dirty wet paper towels all over the cabinet. I have never made a comment about Jason's Deli bc it is usually pretty average and consistent. I ordered online. I was suffering from a tooth ache and the only thing I could eat was soup. I wanted Pho from one of my local restaurants but my wife convinced me to get soup from Jasons D. I had barely been able to eat but I was starving and chicken pot pie sounded great. My order was correct online. Jason's has the request pre-made. It only goes through two hands who both receive the order. The first person walks over to the large premade heated soups, and doesn't pay attention and makes a cup- not a pre-paid bowl. The second person is supposed to check the order and put it into a bag. Neither person- who have very little to do with the online system or make the food did anything to make sure the order was correct. Maybe Jason needs to automate this process as human interaction with the order is the point of failure/ twice. read more

Have not been there in years. Loved the California club and onion soup...onion soup off menu?

Had them fix it twice (it's 9:10am) and they still managed to mess my sandwich up. I got stomach issues and I don't need my sandwich with things on it that hurt my stomach. Then they proceeded to also forget the chips in the bag for my husband. Just unable to read orders even after having them fix it. Terrible customer service as well. While a little pricey in the opinion of some, the food at Jason's is fresh, delicious and presented well. My personal perspective is that you get what you pay for in any good restaurant, so the pricing is fine with me. It's not simply a burger joint after all. Jason's is an excellent eatery and with a wide variety of choices for your dining needs. The drive-through and delivery services are above par as well. So whether dining in, picking up or having your food delivered, you can absolutely expect a great, family friendly experience. read more

Jason's USED to be one of my favorite place to grab a bite. I placed my order as usual and went through the drive up to pick it up. Once home, I noticed a text from my card and a second hold for a different amount on my card. I pulled up the card bill, and it seems Jason's added money to my order and listed it as an ADJUSTMENT. Was this mentioned to me? No. They may have garnered extra money tonight...but that cost them a customer. I will not patronize someone who issues adjustments without any discussion. The corned beef on my sandwich was cooked. What kind of idiot does that? The restaurant temperature was about 60*. We couldn't stop chattering our teeth and had to get our very expensive food to go. 2 sandwiches and two drinks for $33? RIDICULOUS!!!! I don't understand how this place stays in business. I'm glad there's not one of these where I live. I'll never return, even if there's one close by. Save yourself and walk far away from this place. read more

To start they are not busy! Maybe 8 customers total! There are plenty of employees, about 10. When I came in stood waiting to order 3 people looked at me and no one spoke. The manager finally asked someone to help me. I started my order. Asked for the managers special. I was eating inside so....finished the food and was given the total. I then said I would like a drink as well. So I ordered a side salad bar trip. Then went to wait for my order. You can definitely tell they are all working to go home. I received my 1/2 sandwich and had to ask for my salad plate. Made my salad and then had to ask for silverware. I did notice several other customers had the same issue. One employee was standing around on her cell phone. Manager walked by several times without a word. I understand no one wants to work on a holiday weekend but that's life! First time and I'm surprised how FRESH the food tasted! It was SOOOOO GOOD!!! The staff were nice, service was good, and restaurant seems clean including the restrooms. I ordered southwestern chili as I've never had it before and it was delicious! The chips were amazing, they weren't greasy and tasted light. Yumm!!! read more

I am really impressed with the service in this particular location!!! I have never tried Jason's Deli before, but until couple of months ago. Since then every time I order via UberEats is the same: * They are absolutely consistent in everything. Consistency in excellency is the secret of success!! * They pay attention to details. * Everything arrives as ordered. * Their packaging is absolutely amazing, to the "T" in details. They don't do like other restaurants, that throws everything in it and in whichever way it falls and good luck if you get everything you need and/or asked for. But this people are excellent at packing and providing everything you'll need and with excellency!! * The food arrives on time, at the time, that it has been offered. * The food is always fresh, an amazing presentation and delicious. I know we were taking a gamble showing up at 9pm on a Monday, but it is what my kids wanted to eat on our long road trip home. There were a couple of other patrons there when we arrived, but I could tell they were in "breakdown/cleanup" mode. I stood at the counter while two "managers" worked on separate registers. Neither addressed me at all for a couple of minutes. Finally the female said she would be right with me..... I believe she was working on a phone order, but Im not sure what the other male manager was doing and he never even attempted to acknowledge that I was standing in front of him. Finally my order was taken and I went in search of corn muffins to keep the kiddos happy. The salad bar area was actively being cleaned out, no big deal, but there were only 4-5 muffins in the container and all were rock hard. When our food was delivered, my husband asked if they had any fresh muffins in the back. The gentlemen said he would look and proceeded to retrieve the remaining rock muffins off the salad bar and bring them to our table. I also witnessed an argument between said male manager and the gentlemen that delivered our food. The manager threatened to meet the other guy outside, and told him not to get to comfortable. He kind of laughed it off once he realized I was standing at the soda fountain and heard the exchange. Super awkward and unprofessional. The food was subpar at best, again our fault for showing up late, but they were still open for another hour!! Also, they desperately need to do a deep clean of their ice cream machine. As someone who has used/cleaned soft serve ice cream machines, the one at this location needs some much overdue attention. (vanilla ice cream should not be yellow tinted) Our local Jason's has never let us down, we will probably skip out on other Jason's locations in the future. read more

I came by this place while driving through Amarillo on my way to Colorado. Being a familiar place I enjoyed back in my hometown, I thought it would be a great place for a quick bite. They have taken the typical Covid countermeasures with spaced out tables, and the employees do all the serving for you. The biggest table was a table of 4 and wait here was a little longer because they were understaffed. I ordered my typical penne pasta full order for my family and they seem to have given 2/3 of what I normally receive with my full order back home. The soups were all just mildly warm which was kind of disappointing. Overall the tastes of everything was pretty spot on despite that. I enjoyed my Meatballa sandwich, my mother enjoyed her club sandwich and so on. read more

Horridly inattentive staff mars a pretty basic restaurant. One would think the simplicity of the menu would render impossible the chances of unintended errors...wrong! This Jason's staff is up to the task. The young woman receiving my order simply refused to listen to my order, as in me starting off by saying, "I'd like a.." to her interruption of, "is this for here?" Needless to say she completely failed to accurately take the order, but she was wildly successful at forcing the scripted conversation routine. Interestingly, she got my name wrong, was kind enough to stare at me cooling my heels for 10 minutes after calling out the nothing-like-my-name name she had entered. This despite me being the only unfortunate soul in the place waiting. After approaching the counter and waving another employee down to discover if the rapidly cooling contents of the sack on the rack were purchased by me, I was reassured by the aforementioned young woman that I had failed the question, "your name?" and the name-that-doesn't-even-sound-close was what I had come up with when asked. The chicken salad sandwich I asked for was absent at home, a chicken salad in its place-to be expected when the word sandwich is cut off by the inquiry, "want ranch?" Other contents wrong as well.. I don't know if the blame lies with my arrival within 30 minutes of closing or the increased cost of a urine drug screen, but I'd encourage patrons to speak in a loud, slow voice and only address the questions posed. Went with wife and friends today for breakfast. We ordered a ham and cheese wrap with fruit bowl, blueberry muffin and coffee. Friends same. Very disappointing as coffee was so weak. Great food! This is by far my favorite Deli. I have been to all the Jason's from here, (Amarillo by morning) To Austin and all stops in between. The food is always fresh compared to other Deli places. I am most impress with the staff and there kind a friendly service. Like today. Was hobbling around the salad bar moving a little slower then usual (The Weather), and when the rest of my order was bagged and ready, low and behold there was Tommy bringing my bag of goodies to me. As usual friendly and professional service. That is why I go to this Jason's Deli for my meals. Big thanks to Tommy, Jennifer and Ginger. So I was asked about my trip there. By a Siri someone... and I have yet to hear back her her or a manager. Since my husband n I got so sick . I am expecting a follow up. U have my email address. Did u remember to tell ur staff to put ice inside the salad bar??? To keep the items cold???? I e been wondering. If I come in again. I may not now. I see that place : dirty, employees doing nothing. No ice inside the salad bar or anything out of place.. I will contact the health dept. I don't like what is a half ass follow up from a business especially after being so sick by them. I put in my order on line I got there and they looked forever and couldn't find it. I don't know about y'all but when I order ahead I expect it to be ready when I arrive if I've given them enough time. When I got home with it it was cold. Food is always pretty good here. As good as you're going to get from Jason's Deli, but service at this location is slow, slow, and slow. Been over 5 minutes with my sandwich waiting to be delivered to my table. No one, and I mean no one is bothering to look at the ticket to see if the order is ready to be delivered or not. I highly recommend if in Amarillo Texas, go to the other Jason's Deli at 34th Ave and Coulter. read more

Always a crowd pleaser! My kids love the salad bar and of course the complimentary ice cream they get to serve themselves.

We are so happy for this location. My comment is about the change in the online ordering system. It no longer allows you to specify condiments, change toppings, etc. In fact, on the sandwich I was ordering it specifically says "build it" as you like but then after you select, it only allows you to choose bread and side, not toppings. Old system was great. Also tried to give feedback and even that was broken. The website absolutely needs to be fixed. Pretty pathetic for such a large company. read more
