We stopped in to Jason's Deli in Chesapeake Store # 129 today August 31st for Lunch, it was TERRIBLE. The Manager was Rude and the Food was not going to bring me back. We both got the Broccoli/ Cheese Soup and it was not even warm, served with no Crackers, The Sandwiches were very skimpy and we could have eaten better ANYWHERE. I am a Nurse, I work in a Hospital and if anyone really believes wearing a Mask is protecting you against a " Virus" with a less than 1% Death Rate, you really should stay Home. THINK.... A Virologist wears a Suit that Covers from Head to Toe but your 5.00 Cloth Mask is going to save the Day???? I am so SICK of this "Virus " being used to give Crappy Service, In the Hospital We have not seen a LEGITIMATE Case of Covid in 8 weeks, just people who are now showing up with Legionnaires Disease from wearing a Dirty Mask in High Temperatures for too many Hours. We love this place! We stay at the Hyatt Place in the same parking lot when we travel through this area. Not sure who hires for this location, but they are a guru. Everyone who works there are friendly and constantly cleaning, heading into a place with a giant salad bar, that's pretty important to us! We have been here about 10 times and every visit has been high quality, clean and efficient. The dining room offers different sized tables for all group sizes, booths and small tables for singles. We normally get the salad bar, but have had a few of the meals off the menu as well. When traveling, a good salad goes a long way with us! To be greeted upon arrival and to have a consistently clean dining room is what has us going back! read more

I have been a Jason's deli fan for a long time but it has taken my wife a little longer to come around. In fact, she's not really a fan for some odd reason. I am not sure how that's possible but I love her anyway :) We recently stopped in to this location for dinner and it is your standard menu and basic set up. The service was friendly, efficient and the kids liked their meals. The ice cream, however, was the big selling point for them! I had a turkey wrap that was very good. My wife had a chicken panini that she didn't love but I thought the chicken was pretty good. The salad bar is the star and the reason I truly go to Jason's. Outstanding every time. Since I am the one writing the review, we'll go with 4 stars. The only thing I don't like about this place is the chaos during Sunday afternoon lunch if you're with a group. This place is always packed, which I enjoy once I have procured tables and seats, but usually I have to hover over some lingering family already finished with their meal and glare at them until they resign their seats. Great customer service, clean bathrooms and excellent menu fare. It's a deli, so check out the online menus for either in-house or catering. I'm a big fan of the salad bar, but I'll opt for a special of the day or muffaletta (huge) when the mood strikes. Everything our family (six of us) has been good, and Jason's Deli claims it serves food free from trans fats, MSG and high-fructose corn syrup. This is a good choice when you are looking for deli type cuisine. They have a good salad bar and I love soup and they have some great options. My kids love the Free ice cream:) They are very reasonably priced. The lines may seem long when you first walk in if you get there at lunch rush but they move quickly. I come for the salad bar here. The sandwiches are good, and the new gluten free options are also tasty. They try to avoid cross contamination. The salad bar is unlimited, just ask for a new plate every trip up. The cups here often taste like sanitizer, so we bring our own water cups. The free ice cream makes the kids happy. It was a cloudy day and was in the mood for a soup and sandwich. I had the brisket cowboy and tortilla soup. The soup was on point with spice and flavor. The cowboy could've had a little more filling but overall it was good. My mom had half a steak po boy and salad bar. She said the sandwich was just ok. The salad bar she did like. They had these muffins she really loved. My wife had the southwest chicken sandwich and I think hers was the best. She also ordered gumbo soup. The soup was good and had lots of shrimp, sausage and flavorful. It was nice to have a little cone at the end. The ice cream does come out fast. My wife was pretty mortified as she yelped when she saw how fast it came out. It was a funny moment and I'm sure we gave others a laugh. The staff that delivered the food was great. I believe he was a manager with the waitress. He overheard my mom say she didn't wants chips. He offered her different chips or steamed veggies at no cost. That was very nice of him and very professional. My mom didn't want either, she just wasn't aware it came with chips. Be sure you know what you want before you go up. I was looking for a semi-healthy place to eat after a good workout but everything was pretty much closed! Jason's deli was one of the only restaurants in my area open until 10 so I decided to pop in. The cashier was friendly and helped me with my dinner decision. I chose to get the $8 Chi-Town Special: half of a turkey sandwich on focaccia bread with bacon, tomato, spinach, provolone, and chipotle dressing, a side of chips, and a cup of their Pozole Verde soup. The sandwich was yummy! I really enjoyed the bread and the chipotle dressing. As for the chips, I wish I would've tried the baked ones - I got the regular ones and they were just regular Lays chips. I believe they just welcomed back the Pozole Verde soup into their menu and it was delicious! It's a hearty soup with pulled pork, potatoes, and topped with pico de gallo. Went here for lunch yesterday for the first time in a few years. The service was impeccable. First thing through the door and an employee was making sure I had a highchair for my son and a menu. The girl who took my order was also genuinely friendly and really helpful. I ordered a pastrami sandwich with Italian pasta salad instead of chips. Great place to get your salad on. I am not a fan of buffets but they do have an AWESOME salad bar. Lots of choices and healthy options too. They have a potato too that my husband loves called the Plain Jane. The potato is as big as your arm, not sure how they grow it that big since they have all organic fruits and veggies, but they do and its enough for lunch. They have some awesome soup options too. A great place for a fast lunch or a slow meal if you like to graze more than once in the salad bar field. They also give you free ice cream when you are done. Great place for the kids. read more

Great, family friendly place to each that has plenty of choices, friendly and helpful staff, and comfortable atmosphere. I get the salad bar, which has plenty of great options, including the usual salad fixings (three greens options-lettuce, spring mix, spinach only), tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, etc... but also has hummus, potato salad, pasta salad, assortment of nuts and seeds, BANANA PUDDING, CHOCOLATE MOUSE PUDDING, wonderful gingerbread mini muffins, and on and on and on. I really have nothing but good things to say about this place except one thing, the cost of a protein to add to your salad is laughable in comparison to what comes to your table. I was just at the restaurant about 30 minutes ago for lunch. I was finishing up my salad and crunched down on something extremely hard and was afraid I may have chipped my tooth. In fact, it was so loud that my lunch date heard it across the table! I walked up to the front and asked for a manager. The manager came up and BARELY told me sorry but asked me what I had at the salad bar then proceeded to check through the salad bar canisters. At no point did he offer to comp my meal or even offer a coupon of any sort. I am VERY disappointed in Jason's Deli, especially since I eat there often for my lunch hour. You would think that being in customer service a manager would attempt to make their patron feel better about an unfortunate situation like this one but that is not what happened at all!!
