Raul was the preparer of this sandwich, and he did an amazing job, especially with the light onions, jalapeños, and dill pickles. Every time I go, whether I order a salad or a sandwich, it's always made perfectly. Raul is very consistent, which I really appreciate. Guys, if you haven't tried one of the Manager's Specials you are missing out. Did you check out my photos? Quarter Muffaletta Ham Special was my choice today. Ham stacked high, salami, tasty Mortadella Italian sausage, gooey Provolone cheese inside the Sesame seed toasted loaf, and filled with Olive Salad even spilling out onto the plate. Thought plain chips would be good. Crisp, fresh unlike other places that serve old stale chips. Lastly, delicious cup of Broccoli Cheese soup; creamy, rich Broccoli, American cheese, half 'n half, tastes of chicken bouillon (maybe?), salt, pepper, onion powder- I'm guessing. Almost forgot, with temperatures in the 3-digits zone- icy cold hibiscus tea hits the spot. Stop by. You will love the service and smiles. We stopped in for a quick salad; we were warmly greeted by Jimmy! What a nice young man; he has the best demeanor and represents Jason's deli in the best way!! Jimmy was taking care of customers, answering questions, and never lost his positivity (we noticed!). The salad bar was clean, and fully stocked with all the yummy salad finds! We dished up and sat to enjoy our meal. The restaurant was also clean, no messy tables (rare for a Jason's Deli). We thoroughly enjoyed our salad and took an opportunity to have a little self serve ice cream; it was a bit runny, so Jimmy popped over did a little magic and said ... "... it good, just needs about 5 min", he was right! There was a little boy that had his sights on an ice cream cone... he was so happy to learn it had been corrected! Good job Jimmy!! Dandre is the most awesome, welcoming manager from Jason's Deli, that has waited on me the last 3 visits, all in 1 week. My MIL has been in the hospital and ER for 4 days. so we picked her up some chicken salad 2 days in a row... Since the food at the hospital has been kind of meh. My MIL, Louise had never tasted Jasons Deli's chicken salad, but now she's a big fan! Since we were going to a follow-up doctor appointment, we chose to eat at Jasons Deli. Along with our Lunch we ordered some chicken salad togo for Louise's fridge. The chicken salad has a small amount of mayonnaise, pineapple, chicken, and toasted almonds. Deliciousness! This has been a go to on Sundays for a while and has been much better than the Mockingbird location. But on this day I encountered multiple homeless people inside and one sat in the booth next to my young family and was yelling obscenities at customers. Wow. One hanging out in the bathroom and other walked by and I only noticed do to the smell. Much slower this time as well than in the past. I can't go back with my young kids if management just accepts what is going on. A but sad to lose a go to spot. I get the feeling something has changed in the last month. read more

Still at 5 stars. I just had to come in again and mention what I consider to be a miraculous occurrence at Jason's, on July 26, 2020. Not long after my previous review, a good lady friend and I began exchanging nightly pictures of the sunset from our diverse locations as a means of having SOME kind of camaraderie during The Pestilence. For years we have frequently dined here together with friends after Sunday 10:00 Mass at St. Patrick. Those fond memories keep me coming back. For various reasons, my good friend has remained apart from us during this trying time. One such evening, I attended Jason's in solitude as is my current norm. It was around 7:45 p.m., which at that time of the year saw the brilliant light of the soon-to-be-setting Sun pouring through the front doors and directly onto the table where I usually sit. As my usual order was placed on the table, I began to stir the hot potato soup, at which point huge amounts of steam began to rise from the bowl. As the sunlight cut across said steam, I noticed slight rainbow colorizations appearing and disappearing within it. As is my habit, I attempted to capture this phenomenon photographically. A few examples are attached here. When it was time to leave, I stepped out the front door and, needing to complete my nightly photographic "homework assignment", I walked straight ahead into the parking lot, almost to the far side, looking in front of me, to the left and to the right for anything remotely interesting about the setting Sun; typically orange clouds or an interesting light pattern or an unusual reflection of some sort. Having drawn a complete blank, I turned around to go back to my car, somewhat dejected, and lo and behold, before me, centered directly over Jason's, was a MASSIVE rainbow, visible from end to end! I classify things like this as Holy Spirit moments, because after the rainbows in the steam and the relative letdown of the sunset, I was completely taken by surprise at this turn of events. I certainly accomplished my homework assignment this evening! As an interesting aside, my lady friend also caught a picture of this same rainbow from her location, from a different angle! This Jason's location is very convenient and has the best salad bar of any of their locations! It is large and right on the corner with lots of parking. Plenty of seating, a great flow, always clean and very spacious! Very friendly staff! The salad bar is exceptionally well stocked and kept clean. I always feel like I'm the first customer to get a salad as they keep it so perfect! My last trip, I ordered the large salad to go. For me, this is a 2 day salad. I had it down to an art and built it to easily split in two once home. I put all of the healthy items my doctors want me to eat plus enough of the tasty ones I want into the container and didn't have to stand on the lid to close it! This was not a light weight salad! The items on the salad bar always look perfect and this time was no exception. Their flavor and freshness were excellent! The price is more than a bargain for the salad in quantity, quality and taste! read more

Found my new go-to! The first thing you notice is how impeccably clean JD is. Employees are cleaning regularly not only where people eat, but also where they're preparing food. Everyone wears gloves and masks. The food is also really good! I ordered the chicken noodle soup and the bigger better BLT. The soup was so delicious, the chicken practically melted on my tongue. I was really surprised when I visited this Jason's Deli location. All the years of thinking I was not a Jason's Deli fan due to taste, options, restaurant cleanliness, or staff courtesy to customers, and one visit to this location completely changed my tune. I really like the menus are well marked for those that have dietary restrictions and needs. They truly have something for everyone whether you are gluten sensitive, vegan, vegetarian, or low sodium. This was pleasantly surprising because most sandwich places do not offer such an all encompassing menu. I really like that Jason's Deli put so much effort into their menu because I feel like they have ALL customer's best interest in mind. I had the Southwest baked potato with a cup of soup. The baked potatoes are HUGE and delicious, just like I remember them. The soup I had was garden vegetable, and it was just ok. Next time, I will make a better soup decision. I know their broccoli cheese soup and some other choices here are much better. All the staff and the restaurant manager here were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. This was my first experience at this location and it was by far, my best one yet! The young man who took my order (Scott) made sure my order was correct by repeating it and even catching my special requests. The manager personally delivered my food and thanked me for my business. Five stars for a sandwich place? Yep, even though I am not that big a fan of sandwiches. Jason's Deli is always one of the better options in my opinion, and this newly opened restaurant is great! Very clean and inviting, the food is fresh and tasty, and who can get mad about free soft serve ice cream?! I got the Amy's Turkey-O and really liked it-the mustard really came out and I love mustard. But what bumped them up to 5 stars for me is what happened with my husband's sandwich. Hubby hates corned beef, but likes pastrami, however, for some reason, I am always mixing those up. So I ordered him a hot corned beef with onions, mushrooms and cheese and texted him what I got him. On my way to the car, he calls to *gently* remind me he hates corned beef. Oops! So I turn around and walk back in. The Manager saw me come back in and walked up to ask what was wrong. I explained I ordered the wrong thing, so needed to order another sandwich-exactly the same but with pastrami. He ran the order through, and made sure I had my sandwich in record time...and didn't charge me. Even though it was my mess up, not theirs, he would not let me pay. Seriously good customer service there, and I appreciate it! And Hubby did enjoy the remade sandwich (and I assume the homeless guy on the corner up the freeway enjoyed the corned beef). Food and service were great , but Despite the good efforts this restaurant is keeping in order to maintain everyone COVID safe , I just witness 2 solicitors / beggars walk in in the 30 min I was there , unfortunately they have a new trend where they slide a card onto the table of anyone trying to eat , they might say some words , but then they pick up the card from the table and go on to the next table , repeating the soliciting but more importantly spreading germs EVERYWHERE !! The new location for Jason's Deli is now open! The place is clean and fresh and boasts three alternative menus for those who are gluten sensitive, vegan or vegetarian, and sodium conscious. I tried the taco salad and it came with a bowl of chili. Frankly for me, the salad alone was more than enough. My only suggestion to Jason's Deli would be that they crush the tortilla chips and use them as a crouton on top rather than hiding them underneath for folks to wrestle with. read more
