This little restaurant is tucked away in the corner of Bishop Arts. It is not very manicured or pristine, but the sandwiches are very good and the service was fast. They load these sandwiches up with protein. Whether it was mortadella, pastrami, or turkey, they stuffed the bread with delicious ingredients which made it stand out from normal sandwich places. It was very enjoyable and fun to share with my family. The price for these 3 sandwiches was almost $60. Get the French dip. Oh my goodness, that was the best sandwich that I've had in Dallas. It is def messy, cheesy, flavorful, and a tad greasy but it's amazing and a must try. I've also had a vanilla cappuccino and the turkey melt from here which were both tasty but that French dip.... Wow. Just okay sandwiches (at least the two I got). The bread on both was burnt so that definitely affected the taste. I got the pastrami egg and cheese on bagel and the chicken Parmesan. The French dip is incredible - it's one of those sandwiches where every bite is cravable and the last bite feels like saying goodbye to a long lost friend. It's not a goodbye, but a see you later. And if I'm being honest, I really hope I don't see the Italian sandwich I had later. This sandwich is how I would describe my role in one of my friend groups - the non Italian thinks he Italian even though he isn't guy. A little disappointed following my recent visit to Trades. Had my heart set on a pastrami on rye and decided to give this deli a try after seeing pastrami on the menu. Unfortunately, instead on thin slices of flavorful meat, my sandwich had chunks (think Sunday post roast-style) of pastrami sandwiched between slightly soggy bread. On a positive note, it did have a great flavor. My friend had the turkey club which she said was fine, but surprisingly small given the hefty price. And speaking of price, the sandwiches were a bit expensive (around $20 each) and they do not come with sides. Not even a pickle! Sides included chips and broccoli salad (which I love) but their's was a bit lacking in flavor (bring on the Lawry's!) All around, not bad, just okay. I would consider Trade's more of a sandwich shop. Delicatessen is a misnomer for sure. read more

But the pastrami has kept me coming back. Succulent, tender and not-too-thinly sliced. I've sent a couple others to this deli since, and gotten more pastrami sandwiches myself. And one dangerous hot tip: you can get the sliced pastrami by the pound, if a body is so inclined. I've only done online orders, which have been easy. I had been looking over at Trades as we sat in Jaquval one night and wanted to get a chance to try it. (I feel like a lot of their reviews end up on the brewery page not realizing they have two different names and pages) Unfortunately time was running short so before we had to head to the airport I placed a to-go order for an airport dinner. I know I ordered a Rachel but cant remember our second sandwich as well as two cookies, because I was informed by another establishment that the cookies were a must if they had any left. The guy working was super friendly and even gave me a baguette which I'm sure had TSA scratching their heads from my backpack. Despite being tossed in my backpack and not being eaten immediately the sandwiches were still good and the cookies were in fact worth the hype. The baguette alone was really good. The "hip" location cost you. $10 to park.. if you aren't paying attention they hit you with a 22% tip when checking out. I saw it too late and the only to back it out was cancel and start over. Too many people in line to be that guy. They can't follow direction, we asked for our two sandwiches to be toasted. They girl said "no problem", I guess it was. I've tried the Rachel (turkey/sauerkraut/thousand island/rye), Turkey Melt (turkey/swiss/onions/honey mustard/tomato/sourdough), and Chicken Panini (chicken/pesto/pepper aioli/tomatoes/baguette), and while all were very yummy, the chicken panini is my favorite! They also have rotating scone flavors if you get there early enough and I recommend those, too (especially the raspberry white chocolate one)! I've become attached to their pastrami bagel sandwich, which I get on an everything bagel, while my boyfriend goes for their sausage, egg, and cheese! The bagels are fresh and fluffy and their meat is delightful! The shop itself is decorated very cute! Perfect for a photo op! It also sits between Ladylove and Oddfellows making it a great place to grab a bite and walk to explore the bishop arts area! He asked me to repeat. I repeated the order, naming each individual topping. He asked me to repeat the order three more times. It wasn't loud, crowded, or busy enough for this back and forth. Eventually, he said he didn't know how to work the ordering device. I received my order. It was completely wrong. I asked for it to be remade and showed my receipt. I was given a new bagel sandwich. Again, it's completely wrong. I was so hungry that I decided to just eat it and go about my business. The bagel itself is more like a baguette than a NY style bagel. Fail. While I was waiting for my second bagel, an employee handed me cookies as a "sorry for the wait." Absolutely inedible unless you like,"burnt" as a flavor profile.
