Went based off recommendations from coworkers. So glad we did! Four of us went for lunch on a Friday. There was a big line but it moved quickly. We tried several things and ate our lunch in the wine bar area next-door that is connected to the deli. The ambience was amazing. I would love to come back and enjoy a glass of wine with my lunch when I'm not working. Michael, the owner was very gracious and talked to us about events that the wine store has each week and invited us to come back. Everyone was so friendly. The food...everyone loved their sandwiches...vodka sauce on the chicken parm was fantastic, the Love Bomb left her speechless. Mozzarella sticks and capellini bites were just ok. Nothing amazing. The thing I went for was the mortadella. I liked the sandwich toppings but the bread was too dry and too thick for the sandwich. I ended up removing one half and eating it open face. I still really like this place because of ambience and service. I will be back but I'll request a different bread. read more

Enzo's is selling spoiled Muffaleta's that are wrapped in plastic, sitting in the case for days, and making people sick. I'm one of them! You can read other reviews of people getting very spoiled salads and other foods. This place should be investigated! read more

I just don't get it. Stopped in for lunch the other day with my wife to get a couple of sandwiches after seeing a food reviewer rave about this place on social media. Went in at about 11:45 on a Thursday and there were several people standing behind the counter, and when they saw us they quickly rushed to the back without acknowledging our existence... very strange. We stood there for several minutes waiting for someone to take our order and finally a lady walked out from the back and seemed annoyed. Don't know if she had just finished arguing with a co-worker in the back, or just didn't like my face. Who knows, but she was a real peach for sure. We each ordered "The Godfather" since that was the sandwich the food reviewer suggested. The grand total for 2 sandwiches with no sides or drinks was $36. Yep, you heard me correctly, 36 freaking dollars. My wife looked at me bugged-eyed when she heard the price, but I was hopeful and convinced her it would be worth it. Well, guess what? It wasn't. In fact, it actually kinda sucked. The bread was hard and tasteless, possibly even stale. The cold cuts were flavorless and there was an overly sweet vinaigrette on it which was altogether weird. I visited Enzo's to shop for Italian grocery goods: olive oils, spices, pastas, specialized meats, and breads. And maybe Italian cookies. The options were either very thin or nonexistent. Ok my visit, there was no passata. No spices. No breads. No cookies. They had a small rack of pastas. I didn't find any olive oil nor did I find much of a selection of canned goods. I can't speak to their deli or their sandwiches, and while I noted they had chilled (or frozen, I don't know) pre-made lasagne and meals, I did t try any of them. The shop looked very poorly stocked, lending to a spare ambiance. It's not big, either, so when the few shelves they have aren't full, that's not a good vibe. read more

Stopped in for a sandwich after reading the good reviews. Ordered an Italiano which I really enjoyed. The house roll was soft yet toothsome - just the right texture. Plenty of sliced meats and cheese. Lightly dressed and the lettuce, tomato and onions were cold and crisp. Portion was just fine. These are pricey but worth it. Added some chips and all in all it was a satisfying meal. They let you eat in the attached wine bar or the handful of tables outside. Was a horrible experience... was so excited I found this place with the reviews.... It's just horrible. Antipasto salad was rotten. No one takes your order, you ask for any customization and throws off the kitchen, new person taking orders but didn't know how to do anything and the one girl would just yell out directions vs coming to show her. I am very impressed. Opted for the godfather and wow! I inhaled it before I got home. They have Mac salad and muah chefs kiss. Al dente noodle, mixed with celery, carrots some bell peppers and just adds the best crunch! I'll be back maybe later today. If not I'll be there tomorrow. Came here randomly on a weekday because I've been desperately trying to find a great Italian deli since moving from NYC. This place did not disappoint at all. The service was outstanding. Everybody came out and took time to talk to me and let me try different items and explain their deli and the connecting wine bar. They explained all the different events and happenings that they offer. Made me feel like I was apart of the family. I ended up ordering the Arancini balls and the Godfather sandwich. OMG couldn't say enough great things about it. The food is incredible and will absolutely be trying other things on the menu for both locations but will return because of how wonderful the service is. I was in the mood for a fresh cold deli sandwich and found Enzo's. We ordered two godfathers, one with everything in it and one without cheese, tomato and onion. The sandwiches were delicious and seasoned so well. The bread tasted fresh and the meats were so yummy, not too salty but full of flavor. I also purchased a premade pasta from the fridge for dinner, that was ok, but I think the sandwiches are the ones that truly shine. The deli is small, no indoor seating but I believe it has an outdoor table. It's connected to a wine shop but I am not sure if you can enjoy your sandwich in there. Stopped by Enzo's to grab a sandwich to-go. I ordered the Godfather. It took about 10 minutes. While I waited, I perused around the deli. The deli had a bunch of imported Italian goods. The store is small so the selection is centered around pastas, olives, olive oils,canned tomatoes, red peppers, pasta sauces, etc. They also had pre-made meals that can easily be heated up. While the "import" part of the store is pretty limited, the deli was lovely. The staff were extremely friendly and the food - delicious. It's tucked away in a strip mall and took a little effort to track down, but once there, they have a few tables outside. Most of the coolers and shelves in the "import" portion of the store were lightly stocked. I would not recommend Enzo's as an Italian grocery option. Cool little Italian deli in a random strip mall. I saw pictures of the godfather sandwich and knew I had to come try it out as it looked a lot like the Godmother sandwich from Bay Cities Italian deli in LA. Service was pretty slow. I actually called ahead and apparently the number went to the connected store next door. Guy was super helpful though and walked next door to give them the phone. He even took my to go order size I was waiting a long time on the phone to order. When I came in, there was a small line and only 2 guys working behind the counter. There wasn't a clear pickup area so I was near the cash register. After awhile they asked and I told them I was there for a pickup. The sandwich itself was good quality meats, but I think it needed more sauce as it was a tad dry. I ended up adding mayo and mustard at home and that helped a lot. Will definitely come back but hopefully they get a smoother to go process. read more

Enzo's is a great option for more authentic Italian sandwiches, something Plano is lacking in. A great atmosphere once you walk in. We got the half muffaleta and sorrentina. The muffaleta was very good. Quality of ingredients was noticeable and the sandwich was huge. The sorrentina had some great flavors too with the pesto but the bread got soggy at the end and a little overly salty. The bread was also a little chewy and not the most fresh. I'm from the east coast, Philly & NY & NJ have AMAZING sandwiches (aka hoagies) and where I live now (Waxahachie) it's ALL CHAIN when it comes to sandwiches. I'm currently dog sitting in North Texas so I did some research and found Enzo's - I had the Italian and it was beyond 5 stars - the meat was clearly premium and fresh sliced - the bread was freshly baked bd chewy on the inside w a crispy crunchy exterior. I'm in food coma bliss right now! Also the fried Capellini Pasta Bites 3pc were incredible! The meat was hard to find, very thin and stingy. $38 for 2 sandwiches with tip. Then, I got home and became sick as a dog that night and the next day. I should have known better than to accept a premade, plastic wrapped Muffaleta, and they should have known better than to offer an old sandwich! I'll be calling to get my money back! Cruising on YELP and noticed that this place kept coming across the ol timeline, so I decided to give it a try. Ordered the Chicken Parm Sandwich and it didn't disappoint. Now I'm not saying it blew me away either. I should've asked for extra cheese because really, there can never be enough cheese. A little more sauce would've probably helped as well. The only reason I'm giving four instead of five stars is because I feel it's bad service to close 30 minutes before the online and door posted time. That has also happened to me twice now. Plano friends this is a great Italian deli with a variety of fresh made sandwiches and takeaway meatballs lasagna and deserts. We had an Italian sub today ( big enough to share) and took it Nextdoor to Corner Wines and enjoyed a glass of wine with it.
