It's been 18 months since my last update and this one is well deserved. Anyone following my decades long infatuation with Cindy's NY Deli and Restaurant "know" . That is, youve already been at least once and either can't wait to return or are very glad that I'm reminding you right here and right now... Go! Back that is. Because while Cindy's is the same as it ever was,it's far from boring. They're leading edge in keeping up with what people want and need in this changing world. They score 100% and meet all my criteria for a culinary experience. That is: Consistently Great Food Excellent service Good prices Comfortable environment As best I can remember and calculate,I've been patronizing this location 30+- years. I'll Be Back

A great go to For a good breakfast. Parking can be a pain, but once inside the service is quick and drinks are never empty. We shared the veggie omelette with pancakes and hash browns so good and even leftovers.

I went to the original Cindi's NY Deli location in Dallas for brunch and pastries after a friend recommended it to me. I was also interested in the history behind the business and how the owner came to America and started the restaurant decades ago. The brunch was very classic American style, comforting and satisfying. The pastries, though, were heavenly. If I hadn't been traveling, I definitely would have bought more to take home. Overall, it was a great stop with good food, delicious pastries, and a meaningful local story behind it.

Do you even live in Dallas if you haven't been to a Cindi's???? With multiple locations, there really is no excuse! Cindis is a local staple and for good reason! They serve consistently good food and great service throughout the area! Breakfast is popular, even during the week, so be prepare to wait. The daily specials are good home cooking. Menu varies a bit across locations. You also can get really great bagels, matzo ball soup, and rich and creamy chopped liver! Don't sleep on the Reuben! Each location has a different feel, but you are guaranteed to leave with a happy belly!

Cindy's was our go to breakfast brunch after a long weekend shifts with my co workers. We wld chill eat, take out lunch bcos it's really good. Food comes in a bigger portion and tastes great as well. Services are great too, prices on the moderate, not too much but worthwhile. Check them out while in big DFW. Thanks everyone.

I stopped by Cindi's Deli in Dallas (off 75) around late morning--about 11:30am--for a mid-day bite, and it was such a great experience. I ordered the sausage omelet with hash browns, and everything was fresh, hot, and flavorful. The omelet was cooked perfectly and the hash browns were just how I like them--crispy and seasoned well. The service? 10/10. My waiter was a kind young gentleman who was attentive without being overbearing. I shared that it was my birthday and that I was stopping in to honor my dad, who used to love coming to Cindi's. That small detail clearly meant something, because before I left he offered me a slice of cake to celebrate. I chose the carrot cake to go -- and let me tell you, it was divine. I'm not big on sweets, but carrot cake (and strawberry shortcake or white cake with white frosting) are my exceptions. This one was moist, flavorful, and worth every bite. Cindi's has multiple locations, and while I've frequented the Campbell/Richardson location in the past, this Dallas location off 75 was just as welcoming and consistent. If you're looking for good comfort food, warm service, and a nostalgic deli vibe -- go check out Cindi's. It's always a solid choice.

Breakfast special: 2 eggs, 2 bacon, hasbrowns, and everything bagel

My boyfriend and I stopped by Cindi's for breakfast after an early flight into Dallas, and enjoyed every bite. I had a breakfast special with two eggs, two pieces of bacon, hash browns, and an everything bagel - which I put all on top of each other to make a breakfast sandwich on the bagel. It was fabulous. The bagels are delicious. My boyfriend had an omelette and pancakes which also looked amazing. Our server was pretty quick and super attentive to our wants. The breakfast join inside was pretty casual, with an old timey feel, but very homey. This was the perfect meal to greet us in Texas!

There are a few things that are hard to beat. 1) Ultra fast seating (we waited 2.3s and were seated upon arrival) 2) Greeted and coffee and fresh OJ (which is sensational) arrived faster than fedex express 3) Food ordered and arrived in record time 4) Food was outstanding 5) Server was friendly and exceptionally fast 5 stars - would highly recommend

My wife and I were in Dallas and she was craving a good deli. I knew right where to go and drive straight to Cindi's on central expressway. I've been here before but it was her first time. She loved the interior and plenty of open seats on a Sunday afternoon. The service was a little slow on a day where it wasn't busy. We had to ask for drink refills multiple times after trying to get our waiters attention. We split a bowl of the matzo ball soup combo. Awesome I loved my #4 combo which is pastrami and corned beef. Also right on point with taste and the load the meat on there. Love that potato salad too! Can't go wrong stopping by here for authentic NY Deli.

Great place for deli sandwich, salad or breakfast. Pretty good service from staff. Great ambiance and plenty of table to accommodate big group.

This is my goto deli in the dallas area. I knew the original owners and food quality has not changed even after they sold many years ago. Sandwiches are good size and quality meats. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Restaurant is well lit with plenty of natural light. On this trip we ordered a pastrami reuben with sweet potato fries and a cheeseburger club with fries. Good size portions very yummy.

I come here pretty often since it's very close to me. The food is amazing and as someone who's lived in New York for awhile, the food does take me back to the city. Everything tastes fresh. There's multiple bagels, spreads, breads, meats you can buy just like at a deli. The interior has a classic diner feel. The servers are always attentive too. All the portions of the food has been really generous for the price. My last visit I had a taco omelette which was huge and tasty, and the home fries were crispy. I always get the pancakes on the side because it's so fluffy yet slightly crisp on the outside. The biscuits are also really soft. I tried my friends deli omelette as well, which is more of a flatter "egg pancake" style. The omelette had a huge amount of deli meats inside, they didn't skimp. The melted cheese on top was a great addition to balance out the saltiness from the meats. Lastly the French toast was great. We added strawberries as a topping and the toast was thick and bouncy, not like some other places where it's soggy. This is a restaurant I always come back to, and seeing how busy they are on the daily without relying on pretty aesthetics is a testament on how great their food is. Tip: You pay at the register when the server hands you the check.

First, the spot is actually really cozy and has a well-maintained neighborhood vibe. It's self-seating so we picked a spot near the huge flatscreen so we could also watch a little television. Service was friendly and attentive. The menu is HUGE, so maybe study it a bit to cut down on decision fatigue. I was initially torn between a breakfast plate and the cheese blintzes. I figured, why not go with the blintzes, because you don't really see as an option much these days. I also got a side of cherry compote and orange juice. The orange juice was nice and pulpy. As for the cheese blintzes and the cherry compote- I think I could've done without it- it made it too sweet. But, it was served in the side, so iI just didn't eat much of it. The blintzes themselves were very good and definitely had a very gratifying texture. Slightly sweet on their own, but not too much. My husband had the franks and beans. I didn't try them, but I did snag a French fry and it was very good- golden and perfectly crispy with a piping hot soft center. Prices were a bit steep, but this is a neighborhood restaurant and iI think it's always good to support locally when you can. Goodness knows, prices for goods is high and labor is not cheap. Overall, I would definitely consider coming here again, but this time I would like to try one of their breakfast plates to get a better baseline.

I was always greeted immediately upon walking in and the staff was very nice and helped me with placing takeout orders. Service was always fast, and the food was so good. Over the days, I ordered a Ham&Cheese, Reuben, Club, and Patty Melt. The Reuben was my absolute favorite. I liked that the corned beef and pastrami was not too salty. The rye? bread that was used was sooo soft and fluffy which is what made this place memorable to me. Side pickle was also crunchy and tasty and I liked the potato salad! Thank you for making my court days a little bit better. I'm glad there are other locations so I don't need to return downtown to get a great sandwich again!

Heading towards Dallas, I asked Mrs. K. if she wanted proper smoked salmon for breakfast and she was all in. As we're in the area for the Sixth Floor museum, this was an easy stop once we found and paid for parking. A small storefront with a large dining room that is decorated with some New York themed photos, we seated ourselves and a waitress brought over menus followed by coffee. We placed our orders and about ten minutes later, breakfast arrived. Mrs. K.'s platter included a good portion of thin sliced salmon along with ALL of the fixings including capers, cucumber, tomato, red onion and cream cheese. The toasted everything bagel was very good but not quite "New York style" perfection. Hey, it's Texas. You get to slide. My nova, eggs and onion plate was excellent with a huge portion of home fries. Cooked properly and with plenty of salmon mixed in, I enjoyed it very much. The biscuits were excellent, the gravy was a little thin on sausage but still tasty. Five stars because it's great service and great food. This is as close to New York style as you'll get when you're 1400 miles from Brooklyn. [Review 394 of 2026 - 709 in Texas - 25578 overall]

Normally, I don't consider people from St. Louis to be credible deli evaluators, but I was desperate and made the hour drive to Grapevine. We got there at 11:15 and the line was nearly to the door. Within 30 minutes, it was well out into the street. That was a promising sign. The sandwich menu covered the entire wall over the counter. Lots of non-New-York sandwiches like Cubans, gyros, etc, but over in the left corner were the classic Ruebens and pastramis. I went for the latter. A REAL NY deli usually has a few soups like split pea and chicken noodle and matzoh. No soups. Bummer. They had a half dozen sides - 3 kinds of potato salads and a few slaws. I went with the German potato salad. The drink option was spartan - they tossed a styrofoam cup at me and pointed to the soda fountain. The pastrami sandwich was OK for Texas. A SUPER pastrami sandwich on hard rye can get me moaning like Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally" -- only I don't have to fake it. The German potato salad was watery and bland - I should have gone with the mustard potato salad. Turnaround was on the slow side. Napkins = paper towel roll on table. Flimsy plasticware. The overall vibe was affordable utilitarian. I'll give the sandwich a 4, everything else a 3. Next time I'll drive the extra half hour to Cindi's.
