I love me a salad bar.. Jason's has been one of my favs since I was a kid. Not many places have the chunky, rich blue cheese dressing anymore, but they do. I don't really eat much else here besides the salad bar. Their taters are good though..I've had those a few times. There's been a few times the freshness has been lacking, but it's not often. This was my first time getting a strawberry shortcake from Jason's Deli and I absolutely loved it! I always vouch for their gumbo and make sure I tell everyone to try it because it is so good but now I feel like I should advocate their Strawberry Shortcake. It was so tender, sweet, and fresh. In town for a work function; was driving through the shopping center this is located in and we decided on it as a team. I've been to locations in AZ, NM and CO, and this site didn't disappoint. Sandwiches at Jason's Deli are always awesome, and best part is that they are always freshly prepared after ordering. And always enjoy the soft serve ice cream machine (great that they have the mini cake cones so you don't get too much). Prices are decent and comparable to other "upper scale" sandwich shops. My go-to order: the New York Yankee - pastrami, corned beef, Swiss on Rye = SO GOOD My only complaint this visit: got my order to go so was given a puny slice of a pickle in a Jason's Deli labeled sealed bag (it was barely 4 small bites). Normally when eating in, you get a decent size pickle spear. Not a deal-breaker, or even enough to knock a star off this review, but hoping the manager of this location reads this review and requests a change from corporate, so that "to-go" orders get the same quality pickle spear as the "here" orders. read more

I love coming to this Jason's deli! It's always packed no matter what day or time you go. Food is always quick and fresh. I always go for the managers special 1/2 sandwich and salad bar option for only $8.99. I load up my salad so much I end up taking the sandwich home for next day's lunch. Free ice cream is a plus! Granted, I did not get to choose what I wanted...but still disappointed The boxed lunch included: sandwich, cookie, pickle, mint, and lays chips. My biggest complaint is the sandwich.... Don't go to this location at all, especially if Amanda is working. I called in an order and she wouldn't let me pay cash when I arrived, despite the fact I was in the system with over 100 orders. I had to pay over the phone with a card. There were 5 people in line when I arrived and no one working the register. Amanda was in the packaging area on her phone despite a line of customers waiting to order. Finally, another girl started taking the orders while Amanda was still on her phone. When it was my turn, I told her I called in an order. Turned out they had not even started working on it. She said they don't start until the customer arrives. Then what's the point of taking phone orders? She wanted me to pay for it and I told her I paid Amanda over the phone. She had to go get Amanda off her phone and check with her. It's been years since I've eaten at Jason's Deli and there's really no reason why other than the fact I don't live near one. I was given the task of coordinating lunch for guest that were visiting our facility so I thought "why not get a portable boxed lunch?" I placed the order online, paid online and like magic our food was delivered. The club royale OMG was just like I remembered it and the turkey and ham sandwiches were great as well. The sandwiches were well put together and perfectly packed into the cute little box with chips, cookie and a fruit cup with the yummy yogurt dip. Everyone was satisfied judging by the fact there was none left. My only complaint is there were no pickles maybe this was an oversight? Needless to say I'll definitely re-order next chance I get. Jason's deli is one of my favorite places to eat. This location was fairly nice but not 5 stars in my opinion for a couple reasons. For one, there were 1-2 bins in the salad bar that were empty. Two, although the employees were very helpful, they didn't seem happy in the least- none seemed to smile. I feel like my half sandwich and salad is slightly pricey at $10, but the food always seems fresh. I'd love to see some sort of rewards program or more frequent coupons through emails but for your birthday, there is a few dollars off for those signed up with email. read more

This location is filthy, most of the tables are dirty and the employees just don't care. They were standing around laughing and refilling their own drinks. One of them pretended to wipe down the drink counter but failed to realize they needed to restock the lemons, napkins, silverware, lids, and straws. The salad bar was just as bad and I witnessed an employee refill the lettuce with his bare hands....which is unsanitary. The managers didn't seem to care about cleaning, they were running around and one lady in a red shirt looked out and saw the dirty tables then did absolutely nothing. The soup was luke warm and got cold quickly. The man at the end of the front line didn't have our salad bowls ready, he didn't even notice the ticket in front of his face.....he was too busy texting. Avoid this location, go to Corner Bakery instead. I will next time and hopefully it will be better. read more

If you want to save a couple bucks get the side salad bar to go and just fill up that container to your hearts content. You just can't go wrong with the soft serve either. We absolutely love coming to this place. The staff is always nice and friendly. The establishment is always clean. The salad bar is always clean and the vegetables and sides are fresh. My only complaint is that it's freezing inside. I have learned to always bring a sweater. It doesn't matter the season we are in the a/c is always on. My kids love the this place because they have a variety of food options. Just so you know kid's eat free on Thursdays. My favorite sandwich is the California Club. I love the freshness of the croissant and the turkey. I always change the Swiss cheese to Provolone. It's always fresh and made to perfection. The kids have had the cheese, pepperoni pizza, bowtie pasta with meat balls, and chicken nuggets. They absolutely like them. Their sweet is always fresh and delicious. We like that the salad bar has a lot of side options. The corn bread isy favorite and the chocolate mousse. There is always complimentary ice cream. I really like Jason's Deli. Being from up north, the name is a little bit deceiving. I always just assumed it was a lunch meat place. It's much more than that! They have all kinds of sandwiches, soups, and lunchtime dishes. They have a fantastic salad bar, fresh fruit, and they even offer their frozen yogurt machine on the house. I have had great service at all of their locations. The Irving location tends to be packed at lunchtime during the week, due to all of the nearby businesses. Love this salad bar especially to go. The portions are huge. They charge if you would like meat for your salad. I have found the portion for extra meat varies by location. This location is usually busy at lunch. When I visited in the evening I was able to get in very quickly. The staff was not as friendly when I visited. I felt like I was a problem when I entered. I was not greeted which normally happens. The person that checked me out was busy doing something else and because the girl working the register was busy, he came over to help. He was impatient. I will continue to visit because I like the food. This location also has delivery service. When we ordered food from this location they sent the wrong item. My family loves Jason's Deli. I've had multiple experiences of when my broccoli cheese soup would come out cold. That's my only issue with this place. Food is usually great. Today, we received our food in 5 minutes! The cook looked over the cashier's monitor and was prepping our food as we ordered! I thought that was amazing. If you haven't been there before, they have a salad bar that you can pay for and it's all you can eat! The salad bar is only $7.99! I recommended their Club Royale Sandwich! They pack your Sandwich with meat! It's a croissant sandwich with smoked turkey breast, ham, bacon, Swiss, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard! If you like potatoes, I recommend getting the Texas Spud! It's just sooooo delicious, warm, and filling! If you like Sweet Tomatoes, you will like this! Jason's Deli is a lot cheaper than Sweet Tomatoes. Both restaurants offers free ice cream. read more

It had been awhile since we had sandwiches from Jason's Deli and I had forgotten how fantastic they are. We decided to take a short cut for Saint Patrick's Day and get a couple of corned beef sandwiches. Since going gluten-free, I've found it's incredibly difficult to find restaurants that serve sandwiches on gluten-free bread. Jason's Deli is one of the few places that does. The bread was delicious. It tasted no different than bread with gluten. The mounds of corned beef were so generous I actually had to save my second half of sandwich for the next day (which was still as yummy as the first day). They do place a sticker on the takeout container advising that the gluten-free bread is prepared in a common kitchen, and therefore may be subjected to cross-contamination. If you suffer from Celiac Disease you should be aware of this. I had absolutely no problems with the bread, but then again Celiac Disease is not my diagnosis. Great meal, gluten-free options, reasonably priced...A+++! read more

If you go for lunch be prepared for busy environment. but you should be able to find a seat inside. We used to order from this location whenever visitors were in the office. Every order came with tons of utensils, napkins, etc. although I unchecked all the boxes 'for the environment'. I had a Deli Dollars account since 2008 which S-L-O-W-L-Y built up enough points for a small lunch ($25 - $30). When I *finally had enough, the Deli Dollars had mysteriously vanished. I left feedback on their website, since no e-mail address could be found. I received a call today advising Deli Dollars expire, they were all gone and wouldn't be honored. Thanks a lot Jason's Deli. I've eaten at a dozen or so Jason's over the years. I've only had one stand-out bad experience (at the Bachman/NW Hwy location), and that was due to a manager's behavior, not the food. No problems here. In fact, exactly the opposite. I ordered an off-menu item, the Spud Au Jus, which used to be on their menu, along with a lot of other great potato items that, for some reason, they got rid of. This was a late Sunday afternoon. Had it been a rush hour, I wouldn't have ordered off menu. I asked if they could still make a Spud Au Jus, and the young lady at the register immediately knew what I was referring to, and said it would be no problem. She did have to get a little assistance in ringing it up, but that took less than a minute. When it was delivered to my table, it was exactly as I remembered. Yum! I'll definitely be ordering it again. In case you're wondering, a Spud Au Jus is the contents of a Beefeater Sandwich (minus the bun), on top of one of their huge buttered potatoes, with a ramekin of au jus on the side, just like the sandwich. Another good off menu potato item is the Texas Style Spud. That's a buttered potato topped with their BBQ'ed brisket and melted cheddar cheese. The melted cheese can make it a bit of a challenge to eat, but that's half the fun. read more

Okay so the Pappa Joe is yum, yum, get in my tum. I love pesto... this one is different... not a lot of basil to it, if any at all... but very tasty. The place is bustling at lunch hours... expect to wait 15 minutes... but the faces are friendly and I somehow feel oddly energized when I leave? We've been eating at Jason's Deli once or twice a month since we discovered them in 1998. Over the last few years the service has been in decline at this location. Today it was so bad that we decided it was our last visit. The manager was rude, arrogant and very unprofessional. Rather than correct an issue with our order, she insisted it was correct and forced me to physically show her it was wrong. No apology. No admission that she was wrong.
