We've been eating at Jason's Deli once or twice a month since we discovered them in 1998. Over the last few years the service has been in decline at this location. Today it was so bad that we decided it was our last visit. The manager was rude, arrogant and very unprofessional. Rather than correct an issue with our order, she insisted it was correct and forced me to physically show her it was wrong. No apology. No admission that she was wrong. I go here solely for the salad bar to fill up my veggie tank when it's running low, and frankly, I don't know why anyone ever orders anything else here. The bar is enormous (very good veggie selection), fresh, clean, and stocked with lots of complimentary crunchies and proteins to make the culinary experience a complete and highly satisfying one. Muy delicoso food. Healthy and fresh! Even though this is a chain, you can tell that Jason's Deli is committed to serving healthy food and to other good causes. I ordered the spinach veggie wrap with a side of the fruit (which comes with a yummy cream dip). The wrap seems small but filled me without a prob. Jason's Deli offers free ice cream for all those eating in. I hear they're salad bar (all-you-can-eat for $6-something) is great. If you come to this location during weekday lunch, be forewarned: this place brings in people like they're giving away food for free! Lots of business people here for lunch. Last month I went in to order two take out sandwiches one for my wife and one for me . The wife was easy now I ordered an Italian Cruz po.boy. Not a hard sandwich to make. Took 20 minutes to make both . When I got home I found that my Italian only had one small clump of meat,the bread must have been from two weeks ago,no pickle and the chips where crushed. We ordered take-out that included: 1 kids meal of chicken nuggets, 1 kids meal of pepperoni pizza, 1 Reuben and 1 Muffaletta. We eat at Jason's all the time and my order is always the same - the muffaletta. I was pretty disappointed in this one. The bread didn't appear to be toasted at all, which it normally always is so I'm assuming it is supposed to be. It was soggy and mushy in places by the time I got it open and started eating. The olive spread pretty much lacked flavor, again not typical. And I ordered the Ham & Salami Muffaletta...but got turkey. And then about halfway through the second quarter I found a hair in it. A hair that was not my length and not my color...it was a pretty frustrating dinner experience when you consider that this is Jason's. I'm not expecting much, it isn't fancy. I just want what I order, which was a standard order with no changes or special requests. Luckily I'm the only one who had an order that wasn't great. And I ordered a cup of the chicken pot pie soup and it was pretty great. I didn't see the inside since my fiance picked our order up so I can't say anything about the employees friendliness or the location's cleanliness or anything like that. Overall, I'm glad that I'm just visiting and that this isn't my local Jason's because it's pretty disappointing. We eat here quite often and like the food. Since they have remodeled, it has a much cozier feeling verses the old layout. Good decision on managements part. Like the Savory Chicken Wrap with pineapple and fruit. A few gripes 1- What's up with NEVER having the sugar cones for soft serve? It's my kids favorite part of the meal. 2. Not a fan of the busing cart - leaving it in the corner. 3. Could someone please train the cashier's to be a little more friendly and smile. I love Jason's deli. however for some reason most of my colleagues don't so I rarely end up going. When I do go, I always get the Managers special with the half Chicken Panini and the cup of Tomato Basil soup. The soup is not as creamy/fatty as the one at La Madeline. They have an excellent salad bar and good iced teas. They do not use MSG or HFCS and use a lot of organic foods. I have often come here just to get the Strawberry shortcake to go. read more

Jason's Deli gets very busy for lunch so get there early if you want a table and if you have a large group then consider going somewhere else since the seating is difficult for large groups to work with. The food is tasty and reasonably priced and the menu has good food for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Wow! Love this place. Lite, fresh fare for great prices. Perfect for Vegetarians. The staff was quite helpful on my first trip. They met me near the door, handed me a menu and explained the process of ordering, grabbing the tray behind you, the salad bar extravaganza and then putting the number on your table and having a seat (for those who order hot food or soup) I welcome treat since nowadays places seem to be lacking in the customer service department. I love this place. I didnt even know they were in Chicago too, my hometown. And now I am excited! Organic, delicious, fresh, tasty. What else? Free softserve icecream, expansive saladbar. My favorite part of my California Chicken was that when you bite down, the bread isnt too hard to chew, the chicken is tender, the vegetables arent tough. I love this place. Went here on lunch today. I got the Turkey Muffaletta Special with a side salad. The muffaletta was really good nothing bad I can say sbout the sandwich. I showed up right on time but my friend and I were standing at the pick up register for around 5 minutes before someone greeted us and we were contemplating going else where before someone finally came. "Hey how are you doing" the man says while looking around for what I assume the person who is supposed to be taking care of us. And then walks away. I was part of a group order delivery at my job earlier today and placed my order online for a gluten free chicken sandwich. They completely botched my order and gave me a chicken salad sandwich instead. The major problem with this is that I am very allergic to tree nuts, and the chicken salad had nuts in it. I could've been sick or worse killed by an employee's carelessness with their inability to read simple, clear instructions of what I ordered. Thankfully, I didn't eat it because I noticed right away but that's honestly just unacceptable on their part. I unfortunately was not able to get ahold of them to fix the issue, so I was just at a loss for lunch today. Sucks, but I'll get over it.
