Restaurant is clean and has a lot of seating. The staff were outstanding and very helpful. We tried the daily special Cheddar and Beef it was ok but nothing special. The salad bar was full, fresh and replenish often.

The Jason's Deli that we used to go to (in Carrollwood in Tampa) went out of business so we haven't been to one in a long time. We are in town visiting, saw this location, and decided to have lunch. I got a "build your own sandwich" (turkey on sourdough toast) and it was really good. I probably should have gotten the "half sandwich" because even the "lighter" sandwich was so much meat I didn't finish. I liked the Ruffles chips and they had Diet Dr Pepper on the fountain drinks which can be hard to find in restaurants.

We went to Jason's Deli today for the first time in a while. We're out of town and don't have one near us. First, the food is fantastic! You get a big sandwich with tons of meat. They serve it with Ruffles chips, so no generic substitutes. The entire staff was super friendly and caring. They keep the restaurant very clean. We'll definitely try to get back more often when we're in Melbourne again.

Absolutely awful customer service! After a very long day of flights and travel from the West Coast, we were all very tired and just wanted some good salads. After arriving, my party of 3 walked in and headed to the order counter. There were two women behind the counter in a conversation that did not seem to be work related. They did not acknowledge us, instead they continued their conversation. After standing there unacknowledged for a while, one of the ladies walked over to the register and started tapping the screen, at this point she still didn't welcome us or acknowledge us. She just continued her conversation with the coworker as she tapped the screen. At this point we were all frustrated so we turned and walked out. As we walked out visibly irritated, the girl behind the register looked at us and still didn't say anything. I've visited Jason's Deli all around the country because I really love the salads, but the experience I had at this location was the worst I've ever had at Jason's. I do not recommend this location and would not return if I ever find myself in the area again.

Jason's Deli 1509 W. New Haven Ave West Melbourne, FL 32904 3.5 Stars (Chain restaurant review) With 250 locations spread across 28 States, I was bound to land in one eventually. Jason's Deli was founded in 1976 By Joe Tortice, Jr. in Beaumont TX. The original location at 112 Gateway St. in Beaumont is still in operation. Named after Joe's eldest son, Jay, the menu includes basic deli fare, with the added plus of being free from MSG, high-fructose corn syrup, dyes, colors, and artificial flavors; however, I'm guessing the free ice cream station is the biggest draw for most customers. Finding my way to their West Melbourne location on W. New Haven Ave. I sauntered in for what I hoped were good old-fashioned Deli victuals. Tyson is our service assistant today, and this guy is fantastic. He is a real throwback to the service received in the 60s,70s and 80s. I asked Tyson for their take on the deli standard of a Rueben, Ruben The Great. Packed with one-half pound of hot corned beef, melted Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, 1000 Island dressing, and lovingly packed between two slices of NEW Marbled Rye bread, this was certainly reminiscent of the Carnegie Jewish Deli in New York City. Is this gourmet? Not by a long shot. Is this going to garner any culinary awards? Most likely no. Regardless, it is one heck of a sandwich. On the way out, I noticed a peculiar site of the pre-COVID landscape: a salad bar. Yep, they have a salad bar. I thought they went out with COVID and the germ-a-phobe/allergy crowd. Nope. There is one right here in West Melbourne. It doesn't appear to have the frozen bacon flavored bits of yore, but rather what appears to be fresh ingredients (unheard of). Had I known, I would certainly have ordered it. The Big Boy says, "If you get a lunch break at work, swing by and hit the bar. The salad bar, that is, and don't forget Rueben the Great!"

Great food except the salmon. That is such a fishy taste. Nothing like a fresh salmon cut. Other than that, their food taste great.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Out of all the sub and hoagie restaurants located within southern Brevard County, specifically Palm Bay, Malabar, and Bayside Lakes, the one location that is both historic and iconic is Mash Hoagies (which I will shorthand simply to Mash for the remainder of this review). Mash has been in the same location for literal decades in the Palm Bay West just north of Winn Dixie (soon to be Aldi) and Little Ceasar's. First and foremost, Mash isn't the most visually-appealing place to eat. The dining room setup and colors are definitely out of the 70s, the time when the show the restaurant is based on, M*A*S*H*, came out. The walls right above each both showcases handdrawn charicaures of the actors in character. The cleanliness of the restaurant is up-to-par but more on the lines of better than fast food but just as good as fast casual. What makes Mash one of the best places to get your hoagies are three things: the family friendliness, the better-than-fair prices, and the overall deliciousness of the food. As an example, I will describe one of my orders with them, the "Italian Special" known as the Hawkeye. Named after the character, Hawkeye Pierce, played by Alan Alda and Donald Sutherland, the footlong sandwich consists of ham, capicola, salami, and provolone. You can load any sandwich to the brim with basic ingredients with premium ingredients costing a little bit more. But for $12 for a homemade behometh of a sandwich that is sure to feed a regular person three meals a day, it is a delicous steal. Add on top that the staff is friendly and sometimes will have a nice conversation with you while they make your sandwich. As mentioned earlier, Mash is homegrown with multiple decades serving the community. They have developed a family feel that has kept them more than alive and kicking through the highest highs like when Palm Bay West was the "it strip mall" for Palm Bay (because it was the only major strip mall in Palm Bay) to downward slumps like the (illegal?) pandemic. My suggestion is Carissa. She is very kind and she's been the one to make my sandwich almost every single time I have been there since I started Yelp (Eliting!). I must stress that overall, Mash does not have "the best" particular sandwich I can think of off the top of my head, but they are more than satisfactory and acceptable. For example, I can name a couple of Cuban restaurants that do better Cuban sandwiches than Mash (Hemingway's Tavern and El Ambia for example), but you can't go wrong if you want a Cuban from them either for convenience, price, etc. Given the many times I have been here pre-Yelp as well during my Yelp career, I am going to give Mash a five-out-five star rating. They've always been delicious with good food, good prices, and good service. As for restaurants within Palm Bay West, you can't go any better.

There was nobody at the door and nobody behind the counter and a sign that said order at the kiosk. It was a little odd it really gave ghost kitchen vibes. What's the order was entered into the computer and paid somebody came out from back of the kitchen and began to make my food. I'm not sure if he even said hello to me but he did his job perfect. Once it was done he put it up in the window and I was able to take it. The store is a great paint shop inside it's just so weird that you can't sit there and eat your sandwich. Now the chicken sandwich itself seemed like it was massively over size. I had chicken breast hanging out both sides of the bun. And it wasn't a crappy Patty that you're used to at normal fast food places. It was pretty good a nice juicy and a Buffalo wasn't too spicy it was great. Only question is that these chickens at their serving up have such big boobies that I'm wondering if this is a Turkey breast. Of course it's not a Turkey but it's so big it'll make you think it was. Overall I'm looking forward to coming back and trying some more menu items.
