I ordered the Managers Special Deli Club, Half sandwich & side(jalapeno chips) + a cup of spicy seafood gumbo. I switched out the multi grain bread for the New Orleans French Bread (which they toasted) I guess I appreciated that. I took the cheddar off and only had Swiss but because it was a roll, it was hard to get a bite of everything but the sandwich was delicious. Now, the pièce de résistance, that spicy cup of gumbo, I didn't eat it until that evening when I got home but boy was it good! I had the worst possible Rueben sandwich ever. The corned beef and sauerkraut were dry and portions super small; could not taste the dressing so I looked for it and found only a slither on one side. I don't know what kind of bread they used but I couldn't taste the rye/no seeds. The manager and staff at this Jason's Deli location are fantastic! I visited this location 3 nights in a row to get the Garden Fresh Salad Bar to go as my dinner while traveling and had great interactions with the workers every single time! The cashiers were all friendly and efficient, the salad bar area was kept extremely clean, and my meal was packaged so nicely before leaving. It's a little unassuming from the outside because it's in a shopping center with a lot of vacant businesses nearby but the customer service is top-notch! The manager even recognized that I had visited several days in a row and thanked me for my business... it shows that they really do care and value you as a customer. I love Jason's Deli. I usually go with the amazing salad bar but today I wanted to try something different. I went with a build your own sandwich. I had ham and provolone on toasted sourdough and it came with a side of chips. It was so good! My husband got the New York Yankee and it was like 5-6 inches tall!! He loved every bite of it! Our kids got cheese pizzas and they were actually really good too. They also loved the free ice cream for dessert. As for the service, meh... the guy at the counter wasn't overly friendly or helpful. I was having a tough time deciding on something and he gave no suggestions and just stood there. Oh well. The restaurant was ok. Wasn't sparkling clean but wasn't terrible either. Your average deli, but a nice spot to grab a quick lunch. We stopped in on a busy afternoon with tons of people but we placed our order and received it rather quickly for how packed it was. It was pretty noisy with the rush hour and all, the cashier looked like he would rather be doing anything else, and the table cleaning cart was constantly blocking aisles and tables, but the place was clean and the overall experience wasn't bad. We ordered a Club Royale with no Tomato to split between the two of us as a snack but it was sizable enough to make a nice lunch for both of us. The quality of ingredients were just average, like something you could make yourself at home, and the bread felt like it was on its way to becoming stale, but though it wasn't the best deli sandwich we've had it was definitely filling. They gave us a TON of potato chips which would have been too much for one of us alone, and the soft serve machine in the back for customers to serve themselves was pretty fun. The consistency of the ice cream itself more icy than creamy but for what it was, it was a nice little treat to leave with. Though I wouldn't go out of my way to return to this Jason's Deli, I won't discount it as an option to grab a quick meal from if I'm in the area. read more

This location was quite busy because it was the lunch hour and seemed to have quite a few people there on their work lunch hour. Love this place, for its quality food and relaxed atmosphere. I want to make a suggestion to improve the inside dining experience. This location (near North Star Mall) is in a small shopping strip. The place has large floor-to-ceiling windows facing the large parking lot east of it. For several hours in the afternoon the sun shines brightly on whatever is visible outside. Vehicles, as well as the parking lot, mirror back all that bright light. This glare makes it uncomfortable for a diner facing that direction. Sitting as far away as I could, I still had my sunglasses on. The solution is easy: get some scrim material (curtains or shades) that can mitigate this bright light condition. If Jim's can do this, so can a better restaurant like Jason's. Another recommendation to diners: the corned beef on rye = ++++. Try it with your gumbo. read more

We celebrated my sister's birthday lunch here and the staff were so sweet. They provided plates and plastic-ware for our cake when we didn't even ask. Visited the 1-10 location in SA due grandsons bd today. It's was 2 adults and two kids ordering. Kinda hectic trying to decide on sides etc so didn't notice til I sat down I was charged Two of everything. Total was double what it should have been. I immediately got up to tell cashier. She called manager and at first he couldn't understand two of EVERYTHING was charged including ice teas. He corrected and came back to table and apologized. The potato soup was terrible. It's like potato flavor with water. We had a waiter deliver the wrong food by the time I was done with my salad bar, I noticed there was no soup, someone came and delivered the correct order, as my partner had already started eating and realizing he had not ordered that, the employee said "just keep it". The diabetes tasting bbq spud was awful. After 25 mins a lady decided to tell us "I heard y'all got the wrong food" then proceeded to take the food off the table. I've come here many many times. They use to have grapes and strawberries on the salad bar. I wish there was some kinda fruit pineapple or mandarin oranges something. Everyone use to get a very yummy pickle spear with their sandwich. Now you only get a pickle spear if it's to go. So sad I guess I will get my meal to go and eat it in the lobby.
