These gyros are so deliciously satisfying! If you like gyros, you'll love Stop N Go Gyros. The owner is so clearly passionate about his business. He was super patient in training the new hire, took the time to make sure we got exactly what we wanted, and put so much care into getting our order ready. Because he was training the new staff member we expected a slightly longer wait time, but we were in and out of there with our take out in not time at all. Everyone was so kind and the place was so nice despite the smaller size of the business that we wished we had dined in. We ordered the Gyro Plate, a Gyro Sandwich without onions, a 5 Piece Falafel, and some Baklava. All of it was insanely delicious. The thinly sliced gyro meat was super moist and spiced so well, and the soft pita bread that accompanied it in both the Plate and Sandwich was thick but not so much that it was overbearing on the meat. The Falafel was so fluffy on the inside of a yummy fried shell, the veggies crisp and fresh, and the soft rice held all of the flavors of the dish so well. We were already stuffed after finishing a good portion of these dishes, but we made room for the Baklava. It was so rich and delicious and easily some of the best baklava we've ever had. It was crisp, had an excellent level of sweetness, and had us wishing we'd ordered another serving. I highly recommend this restaurant for Greek food lovers. I ordered by phone 20 minutes before they closed, I did ask if we could still order, they said yes, so I placed the order, I was 5 minutes away, i was going to arrive 1 minute late, at 9:01pm, so I called again to let them know I was still on my way, I was told I could pay by phone, I got my card out and then the manager refused to let us pay and they told us the kitchen was closed, so they hadn't even made our order even though we called to check 20 min beforehand and we were told it was ok, they just made us waste their time and now most restaurants are closed. I was recommended this place by a friend. I bookmarked it and kind of forgot about it. I was passing by one night after dinner and realized I need to stop and check it out. I was already full but I ordered the falafel since I was told they make it there in the morning. The guys at the counter are Palestinian. This place has great gyros. You can get plates, sandwiches, or even stop by to get baklava that is authentically sweet and savory. My girlfriend and I ended up trying their Greek fries, their chicken plate, and even one of their gyro sandwiches. All three dishes were full of flavor and savory, and if you asked me, it's worth the price if you want some good food if you're in the area. I will note especially that despite even being met with a rude customer, they were still professional as they got them settled in with their order. Even after when I had simply passed by one of the cooks, they made an effort to say to enjoy the food. It's a quiet hole in the wall. It is also by far one of the closest experiences that anyone can get to authentic Greek food with some pita bread and hummus. Although it has better prices than most, I literally went to the mall, and after, accidentally sat on a sealed container of my girlfriend's Greek fries and gyro sandwich... if you want leftovers that can withstand a big guy sitting on them - well, you go here too. The restaurant was very clean upon entering, with just one other couple dining at the time, though a few more guests arrived shortly after. Everything is prepared right in front of you, and you can really taste the freshness in every bite. The two men working at the front were friendly, welcoming, and very attentive. After placing my order, I waited a bit longer for fresh fries--which I appreciated, since they came out hot and perfectly crispy. The food overall was flavorful and served piping hot. I also tried a small side of hummus just to sample it--it was decent, but not something I'd order again. I love me a good gyro (sandwich)! This place just opened recently at the time of this review. I put in an online order while I was probably farther away than I should've been. When I arrived, my order was ready and I was greeted friendily by the guys there. They said that because they're new, they threw in a free baklava. I ordered and received "Greek fries" as a side which were crinkle fries with a good amount of seasoning with feta and I'm guessing tzatziki on it. Very good and well-portioned. The sandwich itself had a respectable amount of gyro on it, but not so much that I could take off a few strips like at some other gyro places I've been to. The website has coke products listed, but inside the store it's all Pepsi which I'm happy about, but I'm sure the Coke-heads out there might be disappointed by. The gyro sandwich was very good. I took off a star because it was so hard to order. It's set up much like Subway but I could not get the guy to understand I just needed a normal gyro, had to repeatedly explain what ingredients. My 2nd gyro was different from the standard and that got both sandwiches confused. We eventually got both, the taste saved them. Prices were very reasonable- 3 gyros a water and a baklava were just a bit over 20. They need to train their new hires.better especially before letting them go solo. read more

Gyros! OMG! This place is so delicious- they just opened in the Medical Center. They certainly have their gyros, but their menu is so much more than that! They offer everything freshly made with the freshest ingredients. Normally, when you get falafel in Texas, it's a warmed over frozen concoction. Not at Stop N Go Gyros! Theirs is made fresh on the spot, served with in house made pickled garnishes. In my opinion, the toum sauce stole the show. It's typically served with a chicken dish, but I love it with french fries- and theirs didn't disappoint. It was whipped garlic with a consistency of clouds. It's so garlicy that it's almost spicy, but without any heat. Whew! Fantastic! The salad had the freshest ingredients, with generous toppings. The service was welcoming, friendly, and gracious. The food came out quickly and served in a clean environment. The owners were present, and you could tell that they take pride in the place. It's their second location. Prices were quite reasonable, especially considering that nothing has been frozen, imported, canned or whatever- everything was made in house and fresh.
