    Gyro sandwich with garlic sauce
    Neyda V.

No offense to my fellow San Antonio Yelpers, but I've been too many places with "high ratings" and left thinking... how? Or just feeling meh. So the first time I came here, even though it had great reviews, I wasn't convinced. The gyro looked kind of blah and nothing really caught my attention, so I left. But today I decided to give it another try -- and wow, I'm so glad I did! The gyro was so good -- I even put my fries inside the sandwich and swapped the tzatziki for their garlic sauce, and it was to die for. The combo of the warm pita, flavorful meat, crispy fries, and that garlicky sauce was perfect. Everything was super tasty and fresh. The service was great and quick and everything looked clean and organized. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend giving this place a try!

Dayyyyuuummmmnnnnnnn! So freaking good! Just a tiny little spot with HUGE flavor! Everything is good here. I haven't had a bad meal yet. Produce is fresh and portions are large. You'll definitely want to order the Greek fries. It's a meal in itself. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Make sure you order the Dubai strawberry cup when you're finished with your meal. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

Food was fresh, flavor was excellent - one of the best Gyro's I have had in a long time. Restaurant was clean, they were shaving the meat right behind the counter. Prices were excellent especially for the quality of food.

If you want quick and good food, this is a good place to stop. They have the basics. You can get it as a Gyro, salad, or a plate. They also have greek fries. You can also get your meal as a combo. If you get a combo, you get fries or a salad.. The combo comes with a drink. They have a set up like Subway, you order one section and then pay at the end. I had the falafel sandwich. It was three falafel patties wrapped with a pita bread. It had onions, tomato, lettuce. I opted for the Greek fries. The fries were really good with lots of garlic. It is definitely a quick bite. Your meal would be ready in minutes. They have plenty of seating. Their employees we interacted with were friendly. Parking is on site, but shared with the other business

Beautiful meal that took me back when I was in the military in Greece and Turkey. Don't make the mistake beca6its in a strip center! Fresh, delicious Gyro Sandwich and Greek fries. 6-7 tables and a bar like table with seating for 6. Sat for a bit after my meal... As I'm typing this. Staff are polite, professional and on their game. If I worked by the medical center, Veteran Hospital Lord! On point via pricing! Twice I heard the manager adjust the plates per customers request. Ever hospital appointment, THIS WILL be me lunch stop. I have 18 different plates to try.

This place is legit. Fast service and the food is excellent. I have been here multiple times and haven't been disappointed.

Just happened to find this lil' gem while I was in the Medical Center at an appointment. I grabbed a gyro plate/bowl and I was definitely impressed. Service was swift, but courteous, the price was fair and the food...the place smelled and looked clean. The food was down right delish. Seasoned gyro and juicy to boot. Yummy salad, fluffy rice and I even had hummus and dipping pita. I would drive across town, just to do this again.

These gyros are so deliciously satisfying! If you like gyros, you'll love Stop N Go Gyros. The owner is so clearly passionate about his business. He was super patient in training the new hire, took the time to make sure we got exactly what we wanted, and put so much care into getting our order ready. Because he was training the new staff member we expected a slightly longer wait time, but we were in and out of there with our take out in not time at all. Everyone was so kind and the place was so nice despite the smaller size of the business that we wished we had dined in. We ordered the Gyro Plate, a Gyro Sandwich without onions, a 5 Piece Falafel, and some Baklava. All of it was insanely delicious. The thinly sliced gyro meat was super moist and spiced so well, and the soft pita bread that accompanied it in both the Plate and Sandwich was thick but not so much that it was overbearing on the meat. The Falafel was so fluffy on the inside of a yummy fried shell, the veggies crisp and fresh, and the soft rice held all of the flavors of the dish so well. We were already stuffed after finishing a good portion of these dishes, but we made room for the Baklava. It was so rich and delicious and easily some of the best baklava we've ever had. It was crisp, had an excellent level of sweetness, and had us wishing we'd ordered another serving. I highly recommend this restaurant for Greek food lovers. You'll have an excellent meal and plenty of delicious leftovers for lunch. Just be sure not to make our mistake and get that second order of Baklava!

They are fast as advertised, really good gyros, every was flavorful and fresh. Fast friendly service and if you stay, the dining room is clean nicely decorated for a takeout, even has a calming Muzak playing lofi jazz. Know that the Greek fries has a mayo-based topping. In it is a hint of garlic and horseradish.

I thought the food was pretty good and was ready really quickly. I just thought the meat portions weren't that great. I do think if I was to go pick up something really quick I would come here again as the prices are good and the workers are quick! There are a couple tables to sit inside.

I was recommended this place by a friend. I bookmarked it and kind of forgot about it. I was passing by one night after dinner and realized I need to stop and check it out. I was already full but I ordered the falafel since I was told they make it there in the morning. The guys at the counter are Palestinian. I am Lebanese so automatically started chit chatting while ordering. They are super kind and friendly! And yes my friend was not mistaken the falafel is the most authentic in town! It gave me the feel of being right at home! It is a small establishment cafeteria style but oh boy those falafel were absolutely delicious! I will be back soon to try other things on the menu

Our twelve guests ranged in age from 14-79 years, and everyone had a wonderful experience. We began with waters for the table, soft drinks, and cocktails/mocktails (Man Walks into a Bar, Amba No. 5, Don Alberto, Green Shug Collins). Due to our large party, we had booked a chef's tasting experience, which was spectacular. The appetizers were plentiful, flavorful, and unique. Our server, Anissa, did a wonderful job of explaining each dish-- its components, highlights, even suggesting that after finishing the beef dumplings, we stir the oil and yogurt together for an amazing pita dipping sauce. Our meal included four meats-- actually five, considering an off menu chef's creation for our pescatarian guest. It was such an immersive experience, I never took out my phone to capture photos of the food (or our group, sadly). Three desserts topped off the evening. When (not if) we return, we'll certainly request Anissa again. She made the evening a complete delight, even bringing out celebratory candles for our honored guests.

Overall, I'd say most of the people in our group probably would not go back, but I don't necessarily think that was because the food was bad or lacking flavor. I think a lot of us just weren't very accustomed to Mediterranean flavor profiles and this style of dining. Most of us really enjoyed the dips, the meats, and the desserts. Those were definitely the standout parts of the meal for our group. Some of the dishes in between were a little more questionable for us personally -- we tried everything, but there wasn't necessarily one specific dish we completely fell in love with. That being said, the experience itself was amazing. The atmosphere was so cool and unlike anything we had done before. Being served course after course and getting to experience so many different dishes made the meal feel really unique and memorable. All of the staff members who waited on us were absolutely fantastic and so understanding of some of our questioning looks while trying unfamiliar foods. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made the experience feel fun and comfortable from start to finish. If you already love Mediterranean food, this place may be right up your alley. I just think it's good to know what kind of flavor profiles to expect before coming, especially if you're newer to this type of cuisine. Overall, we still had a great time there.
