10/10/25 - Party of 2 - dinner When I lived in Alpharetta, the Jason's Deli across from my office was our go-to place for office lunches and a quick bite. The restaurant was the busiest in an area of over 100 restaurants. I never got tired of their food and enjoyed trying their new items. I've been in Savannah 8 years now and I am amazed this JD is still open. The place is practically empty every time I stop by. On this last visit at 5:30pm, there was only one customer at a table. My partner and I ordered the salad bar (our most favorite salad bar). The lettuce was brown and almost empty. I asked if they could replenish the salad and an employee jumped right on it. She got rid of the brown lettuce and filled up all the items. It was much appreciated! We love all the great items on the salad bar, including the red pepper hummus, the selection of nuts and granola and especially those gingerbread mini muffins. As others have mentioned in their reviews, this restaurant is always dirty. More than half the tables had dirty dishes. The beverage area was messy and really needed a good cleaning. With only 3 customers in the restaurant, why would the place be so filthy?? JD - you can do better! I hope they get their act together and get this placed cleaned up before it closes for lack of business. That would be a shame. read more

I used to really enjoy Jason's Deli, but it has definitely gone somewhat downhill the last few years. The prices have also greatly increased for the minimal portions you get. I did try it again recently and did a drive thru order that was pretty decent. The drive thru is always pretty packed and takes some time. Food was decent, but again overly priced for the sandwich/soup I got. read more

Once again this location messed up my wife's salad. The receipt clearly says no feta cheese and it had feta cheese all over it. They really need a quality control person in the worst way. I use to get catering orders from Jason's Deli and they were great - portions sizes were nice, everything was fresh. Post-pandemic I stopped by the restaurant several times and the food was just meh and they weren't doing the best job keeping the restaurant clean. My husband wanted to give them a try over the weekend and the food was great! I got the beef eater (french dip). The portion was large and it came with a nice amount of chips. I'm giving the 4 stars because again they're just not doing the best job clearing/cleaning, the tables, the drink area was a bit of a mess and out of tea, even their prep area was in disarray. read more

I ordered a Pollo Mexicano Potato for pick up with no cheese. Which should come with a FRESH bake potato with chicken, sour cream, butter and pico. I instead did get a potato with no cheese but the potato was hard... there is nothing fresh about this potato and even taste hard and dried. The edges were hard and dark brown and dry. The sour cream isn't smooth but chunkily it reminds me more of a cottage cheese texture then sour cheese... I asked for no cheese which they got right with extra pico de gallo. They are also not fresh half the tomatoes are almost transparent which is a sign of not being fresh.. the onions are a dull brown and not white and there was no butter to be founds anywhere.... I also ordered it for pick up. There was a line inside but not many cars in the drive Thur. So I picked it instead. I waited 23 minutes before for 3 cars to move. When I finally got to the speaker a gentleman ask me to hold... for another 6 for me to inform him I had a pick up. So basically I could have gone to Wendy's down the street and gotten a fresh potato for cheaper and a side of tomatoes with multiple packages of sour cream and butter then this sad excuse for $9.70 which quite honestly is ridiculous. And I came here because they had send me a Birthday coupon for my Birthday today what a joke... I ordered a side of their corn & black bean salad which was bland. The only flavor was from the "roasted corn" some seasoning would have been nice. I honestly feel like if it had come with cheese... they would have smothered it to cover up the the dried potato. I've been to this location in past years and was always in the past and was always impressed by their selection. But I can't believe I just drove 15 minutes from my job in Garden City for a dried out potato and bland corn. What gets me is if someone orders from the drive Thur they aren't going to discover their food is bad until they get back to their house/office and then they are just stuck with the bad food. Like me. Trash. If I could have given you zero stars I would have and I'm usually pretty good at giving decent reviews but even with the "birthday coupon" I spend $11.99 for dried unflavored sad excuse for food. this is usually a very good place with healthy options and a lot to choose from, however where I ordered the California club and fruit cup side, everything in the fruit cup was molded and the sweet dipping sauce that came with it was yellow and smelled old and sour. Grubhub helped me get a refund, but this is usually a good place. read more

I've been here a couple of times--awesome deli with a wide selection of sandwich, pasta and soup, plus a salad bar and free ice cream. They were closed for a while due to COVID. Now they are open with limited seating. They took extra care with the salad bar and ice cream machine. read more

I went here for the first time and I must say, I don't know how I never knew about this place. I love salad and sandwiches or soups and they have a huge variety of great organic sandwiches, salads and soups. And you get ice cream no matter what you eat. I spoke with the manager who's name was Jay. He was very informative and provided excellent customer oriented service. He made me feel welcomed and comfortable. He allowed me to take pictures freely because he was that confident about the cleanliness of his establishment. Even the bathrooms after a heavy Sunday rush was impeccably clean and in order. To start my wife and I did curbside pick up. We followed the link that was texted and even let them know we were there. Our supposed ready time came and went and still we did not have our food. No one ever came. Finally after 20 minutes of waiting I went inside to grab it, mind you it was sitting there ready and this place had no customers. We quickly checked our food before we left and everything looked correct at a quick glance. When we got home my wife went to eat her sandwich and was surprised to find jalapeños that she didn't ask for all over her sandwich. My wife is pregnant and cannot have jalapeños so to find them on her sandwich was very upsetting. We would only recommend eating here if you plan on going inside and ordering so you can watch them make your food and so you're not sitting and waiting a long time for your food. read more

I've ordered several times now from Door Dash. Their baked potato is HUGE and did me right for two meals. It was great! I only wish there were a section in my order to say I didn't want bacon; however, my cat would disagree as he ate it all. I love their small muffins and ordered corn muffins which were really good. Today I ordered chicken chili, which was delicious.. and also a cup of their shrimp/fish gumbo. I loved it, although it was a little salty for my taste. I ordered gingerbread muffins which were moist and yummy. I gave a 4-star instead of a 5 because I would like to order a few more times to see how consistent they are. so far, they are great! read more

If you're looking for fresh, sliced, avocado on your sandwich, don't order from Jason's. This is the second time I have ordered a san with advertised, 'fresh, sliced, avocado' and instead there is NO avocado but just a 'smear' of something green on one side of the bread. Don't advertise what you can't deliver, Jason! If it's out of season for avocado, take your sandwich off the menu. Otherwise the food is fresh and good. Live local eat here on occasion but today went in and the girl behind the counter was in the phone we had a group in front of us and my husband was looking at a menu the girl started aggressively telling us to move over and form a line behind the other people. There was no one else in the area and we were trying to look at the menu. She then started yelling at us to move she was taking sensitive info on the phone ‍ info we cannot hear. I have never gone into a restaurant and had someone scream at me like that. We left! I told the manager on duty she said she would talk to her but I am sorry she should be fired that is not how you treat customers! I will never step foot in this place again. I like Jason's Deli, the overall concept and the food. This location is usually busy for lunch...but you move fast through the order line. Jason's has a really great menu of specialty sandwiches, muffalettas, baked potatoes, soups and salads. I frequent the salad bar, where I can build my own salad and choose my own items, and dressings. There are also a few premade items like cole slaw, a corn salad, & pasta salad. Then after that you can enjoy a sweet treat like their mini muffins or soft serve ice cream. It's a pretty good value for $7.99, and it's well stocked. Pretty friendly staff too, there's usually someone working the dining room clearing tables. But they will also bring a replacement salad plate for a 2nd trip. I am a huge fan of Jason's deli. I remember the first one in Jacksonville on southside blvd over 20 years ago and this location was awful. After waiting for over 20 minutes for a salad and a potato, I begin watching what was really going on with my order. I was the only person inside. Over 10 people working, five with white shirts that were too busy to great or speak and the one man who took my order continued to offer me a seat but something was off. After just gawking at them for the past 10minutes and sitting as suggested , I see the manager asking well who is Jamie. I was tickled but also pissed. Before he could pawn my order, he had just fixed, off to another worker, they all scattered. He finally gets enough nerve to come to me. I asked him why did he have to fix my food, what was the problem and why did it take so long. He admitted he gave my order away via the drive thru. Smh. Really? After asking for my time back he offer cookies? Nope. I don't eat cookies. I asked him for the salad or potato free. He offered the salad. I saw my food come back, lol along with 2 more orders. Check your food. Won't be back anytime soon. Ate the gumbo, it was good and hot. Mary Jane potato was over cooked but toppings were melted fine. Salad tomatoes and lettuce need replacing. read more

For our lunch break my Mother in law decided to bring us here and she's been here and definitely recommended for me to try. My first time here and I am in love! So much so that I called my husband right away and mentioned bringing him here. I'm shocked I've never stopped by here before but definitely look forward to coming often. Such great employees as well. The guy who took our order was very helpful and attentive to us. And of course with an expectation of waiting, I waited no more than 10 minutes for them to bring my food. For me that's great!! I've waited longer elsewhere. Walked in 30 minutes before they closed. I just wanted a salad and 1/2 sandwich. Two of the three people saw me. Nobody acknowledged or spoke to me. I stood at the register for 6 minutes. When I left slowly and made eye contact, still nothing spoken to me. I expect more from Jason's Deli. read more

We have Jason's cater our lunch meetings ALOT and I am never disappointed. The sandwiches are always fresh and packed full of ingredients - unlike Panera catering. We always order several sandwich trays, which include chips and pickles. On one occasion when I was ordering for a smaller meeting group, they forgot to deliver the chicken for the Chicken Club Salad Box. The catering manager called me right away to let me know and said the delivery driver would be back with the chicken. Now that is customer service. read more

We were clearly forgotten during shift change, which could have been easily overlooked, except my wife asked for the manager, who oddly seemed to be very angry with us...had to be us, no one else was there. The Manager Candy seemed to be trying to take orders, and make food, while all the other staff were... unavailable? Apparently, their shift hadn't started. The food was actually fairly good once we finally got it. When Candy did stop by the table, she basically tried to over talk my wife and accused us of not hearing her excuses for the delay. Really all she needed to say was, hey I'm sorry for the delay, or mix up whatever. Recently in the mall area in Savannah, so I decided to stop in at Jason's Deli for a bite at lunchtime. It's usually a dependable place for good quality food, and it did not disappoint on this occasion. The menu has tons of choices, but I opted for a favorite that always brings me a little bit of Mobile AL/New Orleans vibe - the Muffuletta Special. It can be made with the 'ham' or 'turkey' option, but really - ham IS the only option if you really want a Muffuletta. The bread is as close to right as it can get, and the fillings and grilling make it pop on your tastebuds. I added baked chips and a cup of gumbo to round it out, but the sandwich was the rightful star of the show. Gumbo was just sorta allright, maybe a little fishy-tasting; and it really could have used a few more shrimp or even a piece of or a crab claw. It wasn't bad - just not great. The baked chips have a nice crunch and sweet taste to compliment the savory, so that was a good choice. Soda is soda, but they had Coke Zero - so a bonus for me there. And, at the end, i of course availed myself of the ice cream & fudge topping. Whew! I mean, REALLY! How much more can you ask for, for under $10 bucks?? Great sandwich, good side choices, friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean restaurant and restrooms, and a thanks when headed out the door. If the gumbo had been good, I would've been obliged to give this Jason's deli the vaunted 5 stars. If they'll put a location in Pooler near me, I'll do it anyway! read more

We have been here many times in the past but today was not a great experience. They had many items on the salad bar that were gone and they don't seem to be able to keep up with the demand. The soda machine was no able to carbonate and the ice machine wasn't working ice was in a bucket with a scoop. I guess they are doing the best they can but I will check things out before I order salad and a soda next time. Post COVID is very frustrating. read more

This was our 10th visit in the last 18 months. The food has always been 5*. The service is usually good. This time I got the Rachael half sandwich and 1 trip to the salad bar. Top quality pastrami and oven roasted turkey made an excellent sandwich. I always order the thousand island dressing on the side to keep the sandwich manageable. We also had a mufalato with salami and ham. The olive tapenade was so plentiful that we scraped off about half of it and added it to my salad. The salad bar is exceptional. Hard boiled eggs, artichokes, beets, 4 kinds of olives along with some pasta salads round out the regular choices. I have read all the 1* reviews and don't understand them. This is one of our go to places. Oh, and the free ice cream and muffins are a nice touch! read more
