Absolutely awful. The plates are cold so the eggs got cold fast; the bacon was rubbery with loose grease at the ends. The coffee was nasty. I asked the server to give me crispy bacon instead, but when she took it back to the grill I could see the cook make a sarcastic nasty and attitude about it. Allow customers the right to share an opinion without being met with defensiveness, dismissal, or an argument. There was an issue with my food, and instead of offering an alternative or trying to make it right, the waitress chose to blame me and insist there was nothing wrong with the meal -- even after refusing to taste it herself when offered a bite. How could you possibly know what it tasted like? What made the situation worse was being degraded in front of other customers and staff. I've never felt so embarrassed -- and all over a piece of chicken. The final insult was being accused of trying to get a free meal and being told I couldn't afford to pay, which was completely untrue. I have eaten at three of their locations, Pooler, Hwy 21 in Garden City and Rincon. I can really say that they are all very good. They have the best club around, I believe they call it the triple decker. Breakfast is very good also. Get a lot food and very reasonably priced. I only eat scrambled eggs and cheese grits, and this is what I ordered, well first off, there was sugar in the grits and not everyone likes sweet grits, second when I warmed them up they turned into soup so I felt like I just gave them money for something that was horrible not to mention that the eggs were just as bad as the grits but I was hungry so I tolerated some of them before throwing them away. So to sum up this experience, I'm giving it a one because you have to rate something before moving on. read more

It was my first time experiencing Omelette Cafe; it won't be my last time either. I picked up a large to-go order for my work team. I appreciated the customer service because I was immediately greeted at entry with smiles all around. Once inside, the aroma of some good food cooking filled the room. The prices were fair and I appreciate the fact that they listened to the over-the-phone order and got it exactly right. I ordered flounder and cheese grits with cheese, bell peppers and onions. The grits were cooked very well; however the cheese did not taste like "real" cheese, so they lost a star due to that fact from me. Driving up 95 from FL to NC and did not want fast food. Found this place on Google and was able to order online. I ordered the chicken omelette which was described as a two egg omelette with diced chicken, broccoli, mushrooms, onion, and Swiss cheese. The order was ready when I arrived. I was pleasantly surprised to open the container and see an omelette that looked much bigger than a 2 egg omelette and a generous portion of grits. The omelette was seriously one of the best I've ever had. It was stuffed with ingredients and reminded of a delicious, cheesy, chicken fajita burrito with the egg as the burrito shell. Very disappointing. My eggs Benedict was almost cold. The potatoes that came with it tasted of old grease. My husband's biscuit was not a typical biscuit it was more of a bun. Atmosphere -  Located in a strip mall, nothing special.  No real spots for a party of 5 or more.  I grab a chair from against the wall to add it to a booth.  Makes the table tight but the best solution for us.  You can tell that this place has been a long time. Food Drink - Coffee of course, why in a plastic mug.  Other tables had real mugs. Meal - A Philly omelette.  Why does everyone add green peppers to a Philly style items?  They topped it here by adding mushrooms.  It should be just steak, cheese, and onions!  Nothing special. I was really disappointed I placed my order over the phone for pickup and barely got a greeting from the lady who took my order. This is the south so a southern greeting would be nice. My mother wanted an omelette breakfast for her birthday so I thought a omelette place with 4 stars would definitely be a good pick. I was wrong. The omelette was really thin and soggy. My mother couldn't even finish it. I also got hash browns which we kinda hard and rubber-like. The biscuit and gravy was "EH". They could have been more fluffy and had more sausages.(I'm a big biscuit and gravy guy). My brother thought the waffles were okay. I can't speak to the overall customer service but the cashier (young Asian guy) was nice. All the workers also wore masks which is a big deal for me. The Pooler location has been one of my favorite breakfast/lunch places since I first vacationed and later moved to Savannah & Pooler. Unfortunately, my sentiments no longer apply. I believe in high-customer service and professionalism. Just today my family and stopped by to get lunch. As I entered the restaurant, I was immediately asked by a pleasant server if I would be ordering to go. I responded yes. She told me the two ladies at the cash register will take my order. A second or two later one of the cashiers said we are closed and the cooks stopped cooking. It was around 2:35-2:40 pm, and they close daily at 3 pm. I asked who's the manger. She was seated between a couple of servers at the counter prepping to close. I questioned why that was said when I was immediately told I could place my order. Additionally I stated it was not 3:00 pm and you can't tell me you are closed when clearly you are open and have some time before they actually closed. I questioned the ethics and legality of what they communicated. There was a young server who began demonstrating unprofessional behavior making antagonistic word and grinning while looking at me. She even said later that she can laugh if she wants. The manager finally decided to come to the cash register calmly and we discussed the concern. The cashiers took my order. The manager took several minutes before passively saying something to the disrespectful sever. Nothing changed about the young woman's behavior. The manager took her to the office and they came back a moment later. At one point she and my family member exchanged some words because of the young woman's unbecoming behavior. She then tried to approach my family member physically and aggressively, so much so her coworkers tried to hold her back. I held my family member back and asked my family member to go back to the car because we don't need any further issues and it's okay. The atmosphere shifted and the rest of the staff were looking like a deer in headlights. I was so appalled by what occurred I shared my disappointment because we often would patron the restaurant and never experienced such unprofessional, threatening, and demeaning behavior there. I asked for the store contact person's phone number and the name of the young lady who behaved so badly. The manager politely refused to do so. It was in that moment I knew I would not be eating or recommending this specific restaurant ever again! Such a disappointment!!! Yes, the food is delicious but the unprofessional and threatening behavior overshadows all of that! We're Out! read more

Food was not great. Mine I can understand that it was probably my fault, I ordered a seafood omelette (should of known better), but then again, if it's on the menu they should do it well, one would think. But it just was terrible, when fish smells too fishy is a way to know that is not fresh and all it was is imitation crab and shrimp! Regardless, my boyfriend had the Philly cheesesteak omelet which also was got good. We saw a roach walking around in the dining area. Wait staff is friendly and food isn't horrible for sure BUT since their name is Omelette Cafe I'm going to hit them hard on the fact that they don't serve omelettes, they are egg wraps. That means the take a thin layer of egg cooked on the griddle and on your plate cover that egg over your toppings like a blanket. This method is lazy and not as good. Toppings fall out and doesn't incorporate together. Just cook the omelettes in a skillet like normal since it's not that hard. My other complaint is that they didn't season either the egg or the toppings so it wasn't very good. read more

I was really impressed with the choices on the menu. Everything was priced fairly and the portions were huge. Our waitress was very sweet. I ordered the grilled pork chops with hashbrowns and eggs. The grilled porkchops were tasty with a hint of teriyaki. The hashbrowns were perfectly seasoned and not too greasy. The eggs were a tad bland but my son loved them. The raisin toast was really good too and not greasy. They offered real butter for the waffles and other items. My boyfriend ordered the chicken wings with the Belgium waffle. It was really tasty and huge. Overall, I would definetly return. This place beats Waffle House and Ihop hands down. I'd come back for breakfast again when in town. read more

This place is LEGIT. Super fast excellent service. And then the food is excellent. I've been getting their shrimp omelette for years. It is overflowing with delicious shrimp that are NOT over cooked. I can't tell you how many places cannot get "hash browns extra well" right. This place DOES. Crunchy and not greasy. The grits are also extra creamy and delicious. This is not just worth stopping at, but is worthy of a detour to get some great (cheap) eats. read more

Stopped overnight headed black to Charleston and found this place here on Yelp. being Low Carbers it can be difficult to find low carb options that are not just eggs.. they have a huge variety of Omelettes! Prices range from around 7 - 10.. but the portions are huge!! They also have option ls like French toast , pancakes, waffles etc. Lunch is served also! I did peek at a huge club sandwich sitting atop a pile of fries... looked scrumptious.. next time I pass through I will def be back. I just came back from a visit to this place today and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I saw some mixed reviews before I came and I decided to try it out for myself. I'm glad I did. The customer service was friendly and fast. I ordered the triple meat omelette and it was tasty. Yeah, the coffee wasn't all that but this isn't a coffee house so oh well. It was a busy crowd the whole time I was there and I see why. This is a good breakfast spot for the area and especially if your hotel is located nearby like mine was. Convenient and easy. Thank you Yelp for helping me find a good stopping point for breakfast! This egg-licious diner is right of the interstate just North of Savannah. I was looking for something approx 2 hours after leaving Jacksonville & this hit the nail on the head. Pretty expansive menu- hubby noticed one of the breakfast sides was a corndog. We laughed over that! Almost all the breakfast plates came with grits- southern cooking all the way. I ordered the Shrimp omelet which was packed with shrimp, mushrooms, tomatoes & onions & the other half of the plate was grits! Which I passed to hubby (he was thrilled & said they were better than most!). Hubby got the Country fried streak & eggs with a side of hashbrowns & was impressed with the steak. First bite warranted a half moan & "Damn that's good steak"! It was seat yourself & service was stellar- food came out fast & hot. Nowhere on the menu was there a note to the effect of 'by "steak," we mean a disappointing hamburger patty'. Intentionally misleading customers and substituting cheaper/lower quality items for advertised menu items is tantamount to theft. One star. My husband and I decided to try this place out for breakfast. We went and were greeted fairly quickly. We ordered our food and my husbands omelette was brought out several minutes before my pancakes were brought out. When my pancakes were finally brought out, there was a long dark hair in them... I have light hair. I had to flag down our server as she wasn't about to stop back over at our table when walking through and I sent the pancakes back and told my husband to go ahead and eat so his food didn't get cold. My food was finally brought out about 10 minutes later and the pancakes were decent, nothing spectacular. The waitress then never checked on us again except to bring the check. We had to flag someone else down to get more coffee. I was shocked when we got our check and there was absolutely no discount for the hair in my food. I never expect a discount or an item to be taken off but when there is hair in your food and you don't even get to enjoy breakfast with your husband because you are both eating at separate times, there should have been something taken off... at least our coffee!
