This was our lunch stop on a full day trip along the Icefields Parkway from Banff to Jasper and back. Our waitress was great, and took great care of us. I ordered the Jasper Ale which they make there, and it was a great beer. Our group ordered poutine, which we had never tried, a burger, a chicken sandwich and two fish and chips. The poutine was great, everyone loved it. I personally had the fish and chips and I have to say it was the best fried fish I have ever had. The batter was light and crispy, and the fish was perfectly flaky. I wish I could find fish and chips like this back in the US, because I talked about how good it was for the rest of the day! Everyone else loved their meals as well. I am so glad we chose Jasper Brewing Company for our one meal in Jasper and if I ever find myself back there, I'll choose it again! read more

Food is very good, service is great. It is a very busy place and can get very loud in there so if you're looking for a quiet dinner place not the place to go. I had the falafel wrap which was great and my husband had the beef dip very good pub food. There was a table full of kids in front of us the parents at another table who didn't give a crap what the heck the kids were up to. So this part wasn't fun, but not the restaurants fault just the entitled parents fault. Definitely would go again good food and beer. read more

Figured had to try something local vs going to a chain. Tried the blueberry vanilla ale and it was ok. The bison brisket doesn't seem to be tried bu anyone else from pictures. Did that stop me from trying, or course not. Was it worth it? Sauce was nice with a good amount of heat, the brisket itself there were plenty of pieces but it didnt crumble like typical brisket. It is a bit gamey, but expected. The mac and cheese was a hit with the kid. The pea and ham soup was chunky and tasted quite nice. The service, very friendly and kind, offering free milk for the kid! STEPH JUDGEMENT: Popular downtown spot for gastropubby fare. For our first dinner out in Jasper a brewery sounded great and this seemed to be the place. Even though there was a sizable crowd waiting for tables, we didn't have to wait too long for a spot. Probably helped that there were just two of us and we were amenable to being seated at a communal table. It was pretty noisy but nothing too out of line for a place like this. We decided to get a flight to share and get a "lay of the land" of their beers, and overall we weren't really wowed by the beers--they were pretty standard, compared to all the great breweries we're used to in Southern California. That said, my fave was their American style IPA, easy-drinking and not too hoppy. The bf got a veggie burger, which he said was just OK--the bun was a little too big and the patty a little dry. We got an order of poutine to share, with the gravy on the side so the bf could stay veg. I decided on the Elk carpaccio, because I don't think I'd ever had elk and it just seemed like something I should do in Canada! It was very good, but a little on the too-salty side for me. The restaurant had a lot of space between tables and felt safe during covid. When we arrived they told us the wait was about 30 minutes but it was less than 15. The table ordered the appetizer pretzels, fish and chips, spaghetti with Wagyu meatballs, and a burger. Everyone was happy with their order and the food came out quickly and with well timed pacing. I went here in the evening with my girlfriend. Initially she wanted to get the duck salad, but they changed their menu from the website and they no longer served duck salad. I was considering getting the elk meatloaf also since "when in Canada". The decor is interesting, and the atmosphere is casual upscale. Seating is also interesting and I take it they generally have big crowds. We sat in a booth adjacent to a bunch of board games and we ended up playing scrabble until we got our food. I also got the Jasper Honey Bear ale and my girlfriend got some kind of stout or porter. The beer is most excellent as it is brewed there. I ended up ordering a lamb burger since it was one of the featured eats and got poutine as the side. Overall it was very good. If you're in Jasper you can't go wrong here. read more

This is a review of our two experiences at Jasper Brewing. We won't be back. The first experience was quite awkward, and made much worse by the hostess. We were in line for a table for our party of eight. We were next up. I had stepped away, but when I returned one of our party told me that a pushy tourist had made a stink and the hostess had seated him and his party at *our* table instead. Unacceptable! Ridiculous! She apologized and then sat us soon after... RIGHT NEXT TO THE A-HOLE THAT STOLE OUR TABLE. I was apoplectic. The food was very good, but it was hard to enjoy it because I was absolutely beside myself with anger at the restaurant. Great fries and the Breakfast Sandwich was delightful but again I WAS LIVID WITH RAGE LISTENING TO THE A-HOLE THAT STOLE OUR TABLE so it evens out. I felt very disrespected. We came back last night to try it again, and got a big table immediately. Great. Here we go. Let's have a good meal. Well, it was not to be because the FOOD WAS NOW TERRIBLE. Horrible calamari coated in gritty black pepper, sad little strands of chicken coated in thick breading hidden under a bun, salmon soup with awful spices. We can't win with this place, honestly. I've come to jasper brewing company a handful of times during my visits to jasper and i have always been satisfied with the food. It is delicious and they have a good variety of dishes. The burgers are always a great choice and last night i tried the spaghetti and lamb meatballs and i enjoyed every last bite. My fiancee had the fried chicken sandwich and it was amazing with a great spicy bite to it! In july, i came with my friend and just went to this place for drinks and appes. We stayed till the end and enjoyed the yummy cocktails, which are always a smart choice. They also have beers which they are readily known for. There is lots of street parking in front of the pub and its pretty centrally located in jasper. Its a great place for dinner with your significant other or a place for drinks with friend. The reason id give it a 4 is the inconsistent service quality. When i came in july with my friend, our servers were fantastic! Cheerful, great attention and friendly. We came in for a snack and some beers to end our night. We were told a 40 minute wait, however couldn't have been more than 15-20. That's a plus! We started with a beer sampler, and as I write this I am having some trouble thinking about the ones that I had. They weren't very memorable, but I do remember enjoying them when I was there. For food, I went with the pretzels. I really enjoyed the cheese, and the raspberry mustard was unique. The pretzels were mildly lacking, and a little hard, but I still enjoyed them. Waited 10 minutes to get a table outside, not bad. We had the 6060 stout and it was very watered down. The blackberry IPA had more flavor but was very flat. I enjoyed the garlic soy wings I had for dinner but my husbands burger was dry and the bread was stale. Poutine was also ok. I think the fries weren't crispy enough. Staff was nice. Although I suspect we should have come here for the food as well, ultimately all we did at the Jasper Brewing Company was drink. So my short review of the beer is this - it's good. The blueberry vanilla ale was our group favorite, though many of the other options were tried and all came back tasty. Prices were moderate in what is an expensive city, though happy hour brings them down a bit. The food that kept coming out around our table looked incredibly good and well portioned, so its something to consider for next time. Waitress had no recommendations when asked and was not very attentive: we ordered 2 beers and a soda and ice tea. So another visit to my happiest place on earth. Third time my wife and I have visited but only first since I've been a part of yelp. I always enjoy the beer it's some of the best I've ever tasted. Today I decided to try the Jasper the bear Ale. It's a honey wheat Ale with a touch of coriander and a lime wedge. All I can say is wow what a beer! Light and crisp but the flavour of the coriander is amazing in this beer! To eat was our regular go to nachos. Always get ours with chicken. The fresh made salsa never disappoints. The atmosphere is a vibrant brew pub full of fun and beer. The food has never left us feeling hungry and the beer has never been anything but outstanding. Went here in a group of 6 people. The place has open seating and it was easy to find a bench outside with nice views of the rockies and the train track. A cool place to try some delicious beers and even better food. The place can get a little loud at times, but it's a brewpub, what do you expect? Our server was very friendly and efficient with keeping our glasses full and table clean. We ordered the pretzels (the sauces alone were worth it) and the elk meatloaf to keep our bellies from sloshing with just beer. The meatloaf was good and was paired perfectly with the tomato glaze. COVID-19: JBC gave lots of space for eating inside. 5/5 Food: Cast Iron Pan Nachos, ok this is one of the best nachos I've had from Jasper to San Diego. You could feed 2 people so it's worth the price. I got the guac added on but you can add chicken, bacon, and a jalapeño beer sauce. Solid 5/5 Classic Burger; this was the most disappointing burger I've had in a sit down restaurant, too much mustard and fast food quality burger patty. Honestly it's barely better than McDonalds, and I added the sautéed onions for an additional $2. Fries are good, just your average pub fries. This is going to sound unbelievable, but the chef truly knows what he's doing. His flavors and combination of spices is incredible. So my husband enjoyed the beer at this spot, I on the other hand will justify my three star rating. First of all, if you want food service... don't sit at the bar. The meathead bartender either had selective hearing or just couldn't see. We patiently waited some time to get his attention even though we were the only people sitting at the bar. The only reason we ended up getting service was because the manager came over and rectified his bartender's poor service/attitude and had the bartender put in an order for us. Apparently, entering a food order was too much work for a bartender. We could not interchange our side dishes, because when we asked to have a different side dish, he said, "it's too late, I put the order in." So we paid extra for the side dish we wanted. Aside from an unintelligent bartender, the fish and chips were mediocre, but the chicken sandwich was delicious. The bar manager was very personable, we enjoyed his presence. If it weren't for the manager, I would give this spot 1 star. My suggestion: move on if you want service and good food. read more

This was my first visit here and boy was I impressed! Now it's on the list as another reason to go to Jasper (as if one needed anymore). I came here twice during my time long weekend trip to Jasper. I ordered the fish and chips one day and the Huse burger with fries the next night. The food was wonderful! Real, large pieces of fish. Healthy, hardy burger with bacon and blue cheese. Yam and regular fries were delicious! The food alone is worth the visit if you are in the area, but it's known for it's beer. It's an understatement to say that the beer here is awesome! I did go with a sampler which was a fun way to be introduced to all their beers including their current seasonal. Rockhopper is my favourite, but the blueberry infused one and Japer the Bear are also favourites. I love it here. It is pricey and the service can be slow. I would avoid come here during the normal dinner rush (like 7-8) because it is very busy. I would come a little earlier or later. Don't forget to check in and use your $2 off coupon on one pint. read more

Twenty-two oz. bottles of wicked craft brew I can't find in Calgary for six dollars? Yeah, you'd better believe I'm sold on this place. Their beer does something different from other craft beers out there, but still doesn't walk to far off the weird side of brewing that it would throw the novice craft beer enthusiast off. The right side of the restaurant has a bit more of a lounge feel, whereas you'll find a more restaurant feel on the left. I'd say this place isn't kid friendly, but according to what I saw, some parents think it is. So forget Beyoncé, when you're going to Jasper Brewing Company, seat yourself to the right, to the right, if you, like I, prefer the sounds of drunk adults to screaming children. I hit up Down Stream for dinner, and then Jasper Brewing Company for a bunch of craft beers afterward. I'm sure the food is pretty great, and the popcorn was awesome (keep reading), but if you've only got one night in Jasper, I bet you'd be able to find a better dinner option. You won't, however, find a better brew pub. Holy $#!+ monkeys - do yourself a favour and get the Chocolate Porter. Dark, chocolatey goodness with a healthy hint of spice! It's sort of like one of the delish hot chocolate cayenne combos but in beer form. Are you with me?! The stout is also pretty spectacular. it's a nitro beer, poured with nitrogen instead of CO2, which makes the bubbles intensely tiny and the mouth feel super creamy. The flavour is full but still quite mellow - like a Guinness on crack. The caramel bacon popcorn is pretty freaking intense too. When reading the rich, creamy sweet ingredients listed in the menu, I have no idea where the heat came from, but hot damn is it spicy. Needless to say, the two of us stocked up on beers to bring home, and will absolutely make a point of doing this again in the future. Oh yes... I will be back. read more

i love any place that I can get six 6oz samplers of six different beers, especially when all of the beers are SO good! My personal fave: the blueberry vanilla ale. Holy crap. The service was great (we just sat at the bar - it was around 9pm on a Sunday night & the place was packed) - the bartender was busy but still made sure to check in & chat and offer suggestions, but in a totally not annoying way! Apparently they have more business than they need. Sign outside said to see staff inside for outside seating, which wanted, and there were 2 picnic-sized tables available. Waited inside for several minutes and no one ever even acknowledged us - 3 or 4 employees were around and totally ignored us - wouldn't even make eye contact. I asked two different workers who to see about an outside table - the first acted like she didn't hear me; the second said that the hostess would be back in a second. It was a young man breaking down a cardboard box - rude and not professional at all. He said they had a waiting list and it would be 20 minutes. We left.
