Quick and warm service, put name on the waiting list a table for 3 and got seated within 10 minutes. Water came out right away. Chic deco, warm ambience, everybody seems enjoying their food. The Filipina Owner came and chit chat with us. This joint serves fusion food that came from every continent. We order red Merlot and crisp pilsners, duck, sizzling pork belly, bison meat loaf, grizzly burger with house salad and soup, grizzly catch salmon and calamari. Quite a variety. Food and drink came out quick and sizzling hot. Very fluffy batter calamari, recommended. Very tender meat fall off the bone duck, crispy pork belly, and big dry Bison meat loaf. Awesome breakfast! Fantastic service! Highly recommend for a hearty breakfast. We enjoyed our breakfast and it held us all day until dinner at 7. It was hearty but not heavy and greasy like some breakfast can be. The avocado toast was topped with greens which lightened it up but the poached egg added the protein to keep you satisfied. The Corned Beef Hash had chunks of savory meat rather than shredded. The fruit bowl was fresh and the strawberries and apples were firm and sweet. Would definitely be back should we find ourselves in Jasper again. read more

Wow this place really surpised me. We came here for brunch before heading out for the day. Service: sweet and kind. Ambiaence: chic, cute, classy. Food: ooooooooo man it was good. 1) french toast: we got the 1st one and couldn't stop and then ended up ordering a 2nd one. It tasted like a fluffy cinnamon roll with marscapone cream and pistachios! My tummy kept saying more more more! Hands down the best french toast I've ever had. Just for this one item this place deserves 1 million stars! 2) Tofu Scamble: first off the potatoes where so amazing and oil free, I actually don't like potatoes but loved these. The rest of the Scamble was built on top of a piece of sourdough toast with tons of avocado I loved it. I just wish the tofu was more flavored. read more

This was a great dinner spot in jasper! I got the sizzling pork belly and it was incredible. Definitely sizzling though so I had to let it cool down a bit. This was our last meal in Jasper. We came back late from hiking and it was beginning to rain. I wanted to go to the Raven, because there was some passionfruit or something dessert I wanted to try. Unfortunately, that was no longer on the menu. So we ended up going here, based on the recommendation of my brother-in-law and his SO who had eaten there just an hour prior. We felt very fortunate, because we were seated right away, and soon after came in 4-5 other groups all looking for a table. Some of them were even redirected to the Raven by the host, which I liked because it showed that the community is looking out for each other. Food was very good. I had my very first poutine! And I didn't like it, but that's because I don't like soggy things. The cheese curds were pretty good. And I did have poutine at Burger King later on, and this was definitely better. Grizzly Greens 16.85 greens, dried cranberry, candied walnut, cucumber, tomato, blue cheese, maple balsamic vinaigrette -I liked the mix of things in the salad and the dressing was not too heavy. Much more interesting than the JPL salad. Grizzly Burger 23 housemade 6 oz beef, bacon, cheddar, sautéed mushroom caramelized onion, greens, tomato, pickle, chipotle aioli. hand cut fries "A tasty mix" -- my husband Teddy Bear 8.50 saskatoon berries, fresh mint, pineapple juice, soda water -This was interesting. I'm still not sure I can decipher the saskatoon bery, but it was refreshing and different. What is most memorable, was the artwork all over the walls. I also felt comfortable and this place was a lot more lively than other places we had been going to. If you're looking for a welcoming vibe, then you should find yourself a seat at the Mad Grizzly! read more

Overall, bad service and bad food. We had lunch here during our trip to Jasper. The price is a little higher, which I understand given the location, but unfortunately the quality didn't quite match the cost. I ordered a steak rare, but it came out closer to medium. The ramen portion was quite small for $25.90, and my daughter wasn't happy with her spaghetti as she found it too hard (though I think it would be fine for adults). My mom also ordered a burger, but the patty was badly burnt -- the outside was almost black. As for the service, it didn't feel very friendly. Maybe the staff were just tired that day, but the interaction came across a bit cold. We were charged 18% tips mandatory which made me very angry because I won't pay a penny if that is optional with this service. Overall, I wasn't really satisfied with the experience. The steak especially was disappointing. If the prices were about 60% of what's on the menu, I probably wouldn't complain, but at this level I expected better. read more

We made a stop for brunch on our way back to BC. We were seated right away at 1030 am. However, there was only one server working before 11 am for the whole restaurant. He was overwhelmed by the number of customers and could barely keep track of orders. Some of the customers were sitting in the patio and came back inside the restaurant to place their orders. Once the second employee showed up, the flow was much smoother. We did manage to place our order and food arrived at an acceptable time. Water and juice were dropped off after our food arrived. The food itself was tasty and nicely presented. It was worth the visit despite the slow start. read more

I had the braised beef which was a soft slow cooked beef on top of rice and vegetables. After several long days in the backcountry I enjoyed this meal very much. The waiter was very kind. Most people say out door but the ambiance of the inside of the restaurant was pleasant & calm. I don't come to Jasper often but if I do then I hope to visit this restaurant again. read more

My friends and I spent half an hour perusing countless restaurants and menus in Jasper looking for a nice place for dinner to end our strenuous and exhausting day of driving and hiking. The situation at hand was doomed; it was getting pretty late and restaurants were either full, way too expensive, or closing. We were gifted salvation by a kind hostess that sweet-talked us into trying their new restaurant despite our initial hesitation from the lack of reviews online. A restaurant that wasn't too busy, with a menu that was priced fairly, and had a handful reviews all rated 5 stars? It seemed too good to be true. Surely enough, the experience was truly amazing. The combination of homely atmosphere, kind waiters, and elegant decor and artwork culminated to give off excellent vibes. When the food came, our jaws dropped at the spectacle that laid before us: a dinner platter with heaping amounts of food and variety, sizzling pork belly with a nice crispy texture, a salmon dish that tasted as beautiful as it was plated, and a generous bowl of mussels with a delicious cream sauce accompaniment. I was extremely lucky to have dined at this restaurant and believe that it will become very successful in the next couple years. I look forward to coming here again when I'm in the area!! read more

Ordered Beef Ramen, Cheeseburger and fries, and Paella to share. I could tell right off the bat that the ramen was going to be bad because they didn't season the egg. It tasted like campbells chicken noodle soup mixed with a bit of pork broth for $23. Cheeseburger was ok, fries were unseasoned and unsalted. We gave them to the dog. The Paella was bland. I was tempted to drop the review to 1 star because my wife was struck by the shaft of a parasol that tipped over onto her from another table after a mild gust of wind. It would have hit the 2 month old baby after bouncing off my wife but luckily the stroller took the hit. There needs to be a wider base for the big parasol instead of half a small container of concrete. We didn't ask for any compensation but if I was the manager I would have comped the meal. Do not risk your children by sitting on the patio until they do something about the parasols. read more

Great atmosphere with outstanding food. We had a cheeseburger, salad and the bison meatloaf. The burger had great flavor, served on a fresh bun with cheese and caramelized onions, and a side of sweet potato fries, it will leave you wanting more. The bison meatloaf was plentiful served on a brown mushroom gravy, mmmm good. We also had the grizzly green salad, just to give the meal a healthy slant.
