Who would have thought that a burrito company would have such amazing lattes! I was blown away from the moment I walked into the place! Such friendly faces with southern charm. They had a cute little gift shop in the front where you could buy memorabilia from the shop. We proceeded straight to the coffee to start our day. The hubs got the matcha latte and I got the honey lavender latte. I am very particular about my lavender lattes, and this one blew me out of the water! I asked for it with oat milk and there was surprisingly lavender on the top. Just delicious! Will definitely be back before we leave Hilton head to try the beet root latte and the food! Java burrito is one of the better fast food restaurants on the island. It's like Moe's but much higher quality food.

Food: very tasty, huge portion sizes. Loved the breakfast combo special. My wife had an awesome burrito. Upscale and better chipotle. Service: personable and welcoming. (It was a slow day so that helped.) got our meal quick and with a friendly smile. Ambiance: loved the merch, generous outdoor seating. Coffees were good too. Excellent, wouldn't think that burritos and coffee would go so well together but what can I tell you. Hubby and I split a steak burrito for a late breakfast brunch thing and it was just what my body needed before a 3 hour bike ride around the island. No skimpy on the protein, no up charges like crazy, and the Arbol sauce was whispering spicy nothings in my ear...ok I'll stop but it was excellent. Great ingredients fresh and hot. I cannot emphasize enough that this is a must go to. I will drive three hours to eat lunch here. All of the ingredients are so fresh and the staff is so friendly. They have a cute little courtyard to eat in or the inside has a chipotle vibe. There is always a line, but the food is well worth the wait. They also serve margaritas, which they freshly squeeze the limes for. 10/10 would recommend eating lunch here. read more

I loved this local twist on a chipotle style of dining. Very unique meats as well as a variety of salsas. I went for the "Special Meat" bowl and was very happy with my selection. The meats were cooked perfectly and the flavors all blended together in perfect harmony. I'm a big fan of the pineapple and peach salsa. Both were very fresh and added just the right amount of sweetness to my bowl. We also had the tacos (steak), Burrito and Salad. All were big hits with our "Hangry" group. My husband and I got burrito bowls with the Beyond Meat and tortillas on the side. While everyone says this is like an upgraded Chipotle, and it is, the foods freshness and quality is far superior to Chipotle and the options they offer are much grander! I really wish we had this in NYC. I am looking forward to going back to HHI just to eat here!!! There was plenty of seating inside and outside of the restaurant, and while there was a line the entire time, it moved quickly. I had a chicken quesadilla and added bacon and the first (and every subsequent bite) was bliss. They've been strict with their covid guidelines, and they need to be with how popular they are. There's always a line out the door for this place. The staff is great and works efficiently. I'm excited to go back and work my way through the menu, trying all the food and drinks. This is our go-to place for tacos/burritos on the island. Staff is always friendly and the food is awesome! They load you up with meat of your choice (or beans for the non-carnivores) and the toppings are fresh. They say they have the best margarita in SC...let me tell ya, it's TRUE! Hot afternoon called for a fresh Lime Marg (with salt)...was amazing! After our week on island, we swung in to grab a breakfast burrito and iced coffee for the road. Again, great food and great tasting iced coffee. (Tip: order breakfast online for pick up...place gets busy in the AM). We used to go all the time before Covid and then we got in the habit of mostly visiting North end restaurants because that's where we are located here at the beach. I love Chipotle salads but this place is so much better. Family and locally owned with locally sourced ingredients. I always get a salad with local fish.
