Amazing little coffee shoppe that feels like home. Literally an old house turned cafe. There are tons of local artwork and handmade goods for sale. Cozy vibes with a couple separate spaces for setting up a laptop. Drinks were spot on! Food was good, maybe a bit high for portion sizes but quality ingredients. Cash or debit card (pin) keeps you from being charged a 3% fee-- which is nice they include som form of card a payment without paying extra!

Stopped in on our way to Minneapolis. Met a friend for a hot beverage and bakery. It's a small building, previously a home that has been repurposed and remodeled into a coffee shop. A white sided single floor with a couple of signs that let you know where they are. Plenty of parking out front. It was mid morning on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. There were several other small groups inside. The interior is bright and cheerful. Got a friendly greeting as we gave our orders. I got a London Fog Tea Latte (little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam), along with a Morning Bun. Got the drink in a mug and the pastry heated up. The London Fog was good but not great. It was a little weak and could have used more steeping. It was also warm but not hot. The Morning Bun was delicious. Lots of cinnamon and great texture. The noise level was a little loud but still let us have a casual conversation. Would stop back next time I am in the neighborhood. I'd be sure to emphasize the steeping and temperature for the London Fog.

Visited for the first time this week for lunch and to work for a few hours. My cold brew was super delicious (I had it black) and so was the cheddar chive scone, which they warmed up for me which was nice. I also ordered the chicken salad sandwich special of the month which was an apple walnut panini that was delicious. It came with a side of applesauce or chips and I chose the applesauce. Both are individual servings. The decor was cute and I really liked the local art displayed for sale on the walls. The outdoor area looked nice as well, but it was too hot to be out there and I'm not sure how far the WiFi runs. It did work well inside, and there were enough power outlets for us to work. The music was a bit sleepy and a different soundtrack would have made the experience better. The parking lot is a bit small but there is parking across the street if needed.

The vibes in here are 10/10. Lots of seating and natural light and the tables and chairs are big so there is lots of room to work (which I love!!). The breakfast wrap had fresh veggies and was very cheesy! It took awhile to come out but was worth the wait :)

Always the best service and drinks/food. They even sell beer :) This location used to be on Monona Dr but is now here in this quaint shop. They offer breakfast and lunch, also ice cream! A wonderful place to relax or meet friends and clients.

We are still getting use to them being in a new location. I know. I know. It's been a while now. Same great quality food and drinks and service. We ordered coffees (hot and iced). There was something exceptional about the breakfast English muffin sandwich. Not sure what magic was used. Yum! Their chairs are wonderful and comfortable. The music selection playing was nostalgic and perfect for a Saturday morning. Java Cat doesn't age and is just as good as my first visit over a decade ago.

I stopped on a Saturday afternoon for a quick coffee. I went for chai frappe. It was a cold drink. I actually ordered thinking it was hot. The drink was ok. But next time I will go for a hot drink rather. I also had a 2 scoop gelato - pistachio Sicilia and caramel cashew. It was ok as well. Cashews got a bit soggy in the gelato.

Inside: more seating not shown. Store is shapes in an "L" shape. (I used AI to remove customers for their privacy)

I am always looking for coffee shops that have good coffee, relaxing ambiance, and roomy seating! Found one! Family owned and offers a great variety of coffee, teas, etc. Prices are average. Also offers baked goods, breakfast items and ice cream. Plenty of seating and cute decor! I will definitely return!

Cold brew with cold foam 3 minutes after order. Can't really call this cold foam.

All about bringing back memories, we went out of our way to go back to one of my daughter's favorite ice cream places while growing up. We frequented La Michoacana soon after it opened, loving the observation that it seemed to start out slow, but became a lot more busy as the word got out. It was the first Michaoacana that we frequented. Since then, we've visited others in SoCal, but there really is something about a first, especially if infused with nostalgia. I loved getting their goat's milk caramel ice cream, and as my daughter observed, we couldn't find this flavor anywhere else since we moved away. They still have it (though they call it toffee now). Prices have gone up (of course) and is actually comparable to the chain ice cream shops across town. As always, the workers are super friendly. Two scoops is $6.13 in a cup, and I got the mentioned toffee ice cream made with goat's milk. For me, it is still very good: very creamy with a very rich caramel flavor. My daughter said hers wasn't as good as she remembered, and she is pretty good about things like that so it must be different (which makes sense since they changed the name).

My life has been spoiled with good custard. Madison has plenty of good ice cream, but sometimes I want *frozen custard.* Rather than wait for my next trip to Milwaukee, I decided to finally give Michael's a shot. Note: Yes, I know about Culver's. Love their burgers. Their custard is fine and works really in moments of desperation. I decided to also try the basic (single) cheeseburger and fries to complete my dinner alongside my small vanilla malt. The fries were good, and I love that they're a sliced potato style that curls up as touch to create a perfect well for scooping into your custard. The cheeseburger was a very standard burger at $4, the reduced price as part of their 40th anniversary specials. Were I to get another burger, I would likely opt for one of the others that comes with toppings beyond ketchup. My shake was also fine. It was a bit on the thinner side, and I'm unsure if that's the custard or the ratio of custard to milk when mixing. Though I was giving a thicker straw, it wasn't needed. Overall, I liked my meal but was a little underwhelmed given the prices. I am intrigued by the rest of their menu, particularly the signature sundaes, so I will give the custard a further shot in the future. I can see why this is a popular Madison spot, especially on a summer night with its classic diner/soda shop vibes. I just continue to remain a spoiled Milwaukee custard loyalist.
