Absolutely loved this coffee shop! It's very cute & modern but still has a nice small town feel. Tried the white chocolate macadamia iced latte (I think?) upon the barista's recommendation and really enjoyed it (sweet but still coffee)! The inside is very spacious and there are plenty of outlets & tables (w/outdoor seating as well), so it's a great place to get some work done or grab coffee with a friend. FYI it's also dog-friendly!

This coffeehouse is my Sisters favorite!! She stops for a latte after dropping her dog off at the groomers. We were passing through today and had to stop. My Carmel latte was the best I've had in a long time! Friendly staff and cute space! I will be back

My friend and I came across Crossroads while passing through town. We stopped in after lunch to get coffee. The menu featured lots of specialty beverages and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We both ordered turtle lattes and the baristas happily agreed to top them with designs. They made my friend's first, and she got the heart-topped drink in my photo. Then they attempted a design on mine, but something went awry. No big deal -- the latte still tasted great. This place seems to really have it together as far as great drinks and great service!

Visited on a Tuesday morning. Location is very cute on inside, and dog friendly. I ordered a London Fog, employee had to ask another employee how they make it. Definitely not even close to being one of the better ones I've had. Would not order. Daughter got iced vanilla latte. Very bitter with no vanilla flavor. Drinks were a miss in our opinions, but if ever in the area again we may try something else.

Updated review - much improved experience from my last experience a few years back. Very friendly staff and my 4-Shot Breve was pretty good. A tad bitter - perhaps... but this could be anything from the pull or the bean roast. Friend had a latte and was genuinely enjoyed. Only complaint was the milk was Uber steamed and really very hot - hard to hold the cup hot. We had an assortment of baked goods sourced from a bakery in Madison - but really good. I'll pop in again... support your locally owned coffee joints :)

It's hard to find one around here anyway--in all the time I've lived in Chicago I have only found them a few times, and usually they have a stop of bacon on them (yuck), so finding one that was true to origins made me happy. And it was pretty good! It was pretty fluffy, and I've had ones that are much more dense and not as tasty. The cinnamon roll was just ok. I think that's mostly because I didn't like the icing; I think it was a pretty simple one made of powdered sugar, but I prefer a different type. The maple frosted fritter was disappointing. The woman working was nice enough. They did have lots of items to choose from and I couldn't decide so that's why I got a few things to haves a few bites of each. When we arrived, we noticed a large parking area. The bakery is housed in a charming blue-and-white building. We didn't realize we could park right next to it, so we ended up parking farther away and walking about 3-4 minutes. Not a big deal, but since it was around 90°F that day, parking closer would have been nice! There's a small sign on the ground pointing to the bakery, and next to it is a lovely picnic area with a few tables and chairs. When we arrived, there was a small bucket with $.50 each zucchini and a beautiful garden nearby. About 20 people were ahead of us in queue but the line moved quickly--we waited roughly 20 minutes. The bakery itself is inside a small house. As you enter, shelves of fresh bread loaves line the right side, while jams and other pickled items are displayed on the left. The register is straight ahead, and behind it is the kitchen where we saw women braiding dough for pretzels--made fresh on-site! The pretzels are huge and cost $3.50 each. We bought one, and it was soft, chewy, and delicious. They also offer an assortment of baked goods like fruit pies (individual and full-size), cinnamon rolls, caramel rolls, and more. The cinnamon rolls are what they're known for, so we grabbed a couple, and my husband really enjoyed his. Near the register, they also sell day-old pastries at a discount, which is a great way to sample more items. One thing to note: they do not accept credit cards--cash only. As an Amish bakery, there's no electricity, so the space is naturally lit and a bit dim inside, but surprisingly not too hot even without air conditioning. Overall, it was a lovely experience. The baked goods were tasty, the setting was peaceful, and the atmosphere felt authentic and welcoming. We'd definitely stop by again if we're in the area.

The service was incredibly friendly, and amazingly fast, given we had a larger order and the place was fairly busy. There were plenty of options; from drink options/flavors, to bakery and breakfast items, etc. If you can't find something to order, that is completely on you because the choices are plenty. We opted for a couple of seasonal lattes, which were, unfortunately, very lacking in flavor. I typically order my coffee drinks half sweet, but this particular day I was wanting something sweet and flavorful so I skipped that directive, and was still disappointed. Bakery items and other drinks were good. There was some sort of market happening in the front of the store, which could have caused for more crowding/chaos elsewhere, but overall it felt like there was a lot of "stuff" everywhere. The seating area seems really crowded, but also didn't appear to have been cleaned in a while. There was a messy desk back by the bathrooms, and while I understand this is probably a busy work area for someone, it all just made me feel a little stressed out. Not a place I would feel relaxed to complete any work.
