This coffeehouse is my Sisters favorite!! She stops for a latte after dropping her dog off at the groomers. We were passing through today and had to stop. My Carmel latte was the best I've had in a long time! Friendly staff and cute space! I will be back

My friend and I came across Crossroads while passing through town. We stopped in after lunch to get coffee. The menu featured lots of specialty beverages and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We both ordered turtle lattes and the baristas happily agreed to top them with designs. They made my friend's first, and she got the heart-topped drink in my photo. Then they attempted a design on mine, but something went awry. No big deal -- the latte still tasted great. This place seems to really have it together as far as great drinks and great service!

Visited on a Tuesday morning. Location is very cute on inside, and dog friendly. I ordered a London Fog, employee had to ask another employee how they make it. Definitely not even close to being one of the better ones I've had. Would not order. Daughter got iced vanilla latte. Very bitter with no vanilla flavor. Drinks were a miss in our opinions, but if ever in the area again we may try something else.

Updated review - much improved experience from my last experience a few years back. Very friendly staff and my 4-Shot Breve was pretty good. A tad bitter - perhaps... but this could be anything from the pull or the bean roast. Friend had a latte and was genuinely enjoyed. Only complaint was the milk was Uber steamed and really very hot - hard to hold the cup hot. We had an assortment of baked goods sourced from a bakery in Madison - but really good. I'll pop in again... support your locally owned coffee joints :)

While they seem to be known for their sandwiches, and for good reason, they have a lot of great artisanal items rooted in Italian cooking. This includes oils, wines, sauces, spices, treats and more. The "more" also includes fresh-made pasta, hand cut meats and cheeses, gelato and a few other absolutely delish items! Back to that sandwich...we were not hungry, but could not pass up a good sandwich, especially one freshly made on locally sourced and baked bread! The bread was the absolutely star of each bite, I mean...sheesh! The sandwich in full was great, and definitely worth the stop in on its own. The store itself is small, but mighty, and well laid out, stocked with all the goods, flows well, clean and in great condition. Service was stellar as well. We were greeted upon entry, checked on while browsing and chatted up while being rang out. Overall, solid spot for a ready-made meal, a special ingredient, a tasty sandwich, fresh pasta, charcuterie or just to wander around in!

I had the prosciutto sandwich and my SO had the pastrami and both had nothing but good things to say as we ate. The prosciutto sandwich had balsamic that had just started to soak into the otherwise crunchy bread, with these big chunks of mozzarella and the freshest tomatoes and greens. Alimentari itself is this awesome little deli/grocer with both bagged pastas AND FRESH PASTA/antipasti available to buy, as well as all sorts of goods, breads, coffees, chocolates, beverages and a whole wine selection. Beware that there is no seating inside but definitely do not let this dissuade you from visiting.

I ordered the Italian sandwich, and it absolutely hit the spot. It was fresh, flavorful, loaded with quality ingredients, and honestly cured my hangover. Sometimes all you need is a really good sandwich, and Casetta delivered. The experience was made even better by the woman at the register. She was so sweet, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. Her kindness made the visit feel even more memorable and was the perfect start to my day. If you're visiting Madison or you're a local looking for an amazing lunch, I can't recommend Casetta Kitchen & Counter enough. Great food, quick service, and wonderful hospitality. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The atmosphere has an industrial-rustic feel, but the large kitchen right in the center of the space really makes it stand out. You can see a lot of the action happening while you wait, which adds to the experience. Service is quick and operates more like fast food: you order at the counter, then they bring your food out to your table. Just be prepared for a potentially long line depending on what time you go. As for the price, I'm not sure my particular order felt fully worth it. That said, I think I may have made the wrong choice. If I had gone with one of their more adventurous sandwiches, I probably would have felt like it was worth the challenge of dealing with Madison Street parking. Overall, Casetta is definitely worth trying. Everything is fresh, the bread is excellent, and I'd go back to give one of their more interesting sandwiches a shot.

It is located along the Wisconsin River a short drive outside of Madison. Vintage Brewing is right on the river, giving the patio a really pretty setting. The patio is large and has a great spot for bands with plenty of tables for the audience. We decided to order dinner while we were there. I am not a beer drinker so I ordered the Wisconsinite ( a blackberry brandy old-fashioned). It wasn't bad, but definitely more on the sweet side than I care for. We shared the fried cheese curds, which had a great flavor, though not the best I've had. I really enjoyed my blackened salmon salad. The salmon was delicious and the salad was fresh. My husband also enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich. They had some fun swag for sale, and I came home with a cute pink t-shirt. All in all, Vintage Brewing is a cool place with beautiful location a great vibe. If you have a chance, catch The Sparks Band (a fun cover band).

However, on our visit, it was rainy, so it was closed off. We sat in the corner, but there are plenty of seats at their full bar. They have an entire upstairs area that you can rent out for private parties. When I walked in, I noticed they have a cooler with their beers to go. I started off with a beer flight of five beers of some of their made here beers and guest taps. Our group of three ordered a turkey melt, shrimp bowl, and fish and chips. We also ordered the pretzel appetizer which the waitress forgot. The pretzel app and the fries showed up just after we got the main entrées. I do recommend the fish and chips because you get three large planks of haddock, but the fries are fairly average. Overall, the food here is between the 3 and 4 star range, beer is 4-5 stars. Free Wi-Fi, you get a dollar off your beer for happy hour, live music sometimes and plenty of parking. 10 informative photos included.
