I had a really good experience on my first visit. Today however was the complete opposite. I wish I had the employees name because I don't wanna pin the wrong person but the girl had a horrible attitude. I said "hi excuse me.." and she completely ignored me as if she could not hear me. I seen her look at me from the corner of her Eye. Rather than to stop and see what I was trying to ask her she headed on into the building. So I parked and go into the building and she wanna act like she's busy there as well and then knows nothing about what I'm asking. So I go to leave another lady did however help me and I gave three stars for this employees efforts. But apparently they need to train their employees a little bit on customer service. read more

Used to be my favorite coffee place in town. Went everyday on my way to work! Hell, I even worked there for a bit! I keep trying to give it a chance, buy today was my final final. 17 minutes in line. One car in front of me at the window. 10 minutes was waiting behind the car...the other 7 at the window, where i was completely ignored by an employee with pink hair. 2 times she came to the window to ring something up at the register. Never looked at me, never said "we'll be right with you"....NOTHING, absolutely no acknowledgement! Then another taller girl came in the hut....washed her hands, proceeded to tell someone a story concerning another employee...finally comes to the window and simply says "Hi". No, I'm sorry for the wait...nothing...just "Hi" 17 minutes for 2 shots of espresso, which she didn't even pull fresh, but just poured them from the canister. Beyond disappointed that the service has really gotten bad....because I absolutely love their coffee! Makes me sad read more

Used to come here often when I lived in Lodi a few years ago, so I was excited to come back. WoW - most definitely not the same. The first barista/server we had was more interested in getting us to finish ordering our 3 drinks rather than actually listening to what we were ordering. She was rude, abrupt, interrupted like it was an art-form and ultimately managed to only make 2 out of the three drinks we ordered because I guess she assumed 2 people in a car would never get 3 drinks?? As our first two drinks were melting while the third was being made- we had the unfortunate opportunity to deal with the second barista/server. So rude she bumped the first person to second place for the rudest people I have dealt with in 2020. As I was paying for the beverages - the price came to roughly the same price that I normally pay at dutch Brothers, Caribou, or Starbucks twice a day. So I wasn't surprised for the cost...until it became apparent that the third drink had been omitted from the price- It was then I payed an additional 5 dollars. I was astounded. The price was ridiculous. But maybe the drink would be really good- I remember from years gone by Java Stop made an awesome Latte... oooops - my bad - NOPE! Literally one of the worst drinks I have had in months. Somehow tasted like a combination of missing sweetness and hostility with a hint of ego. Believe me - the drink lacked the proper balance of coffee to dairy to flavor. NOT GREAT latte. SHOCKINGLY HIGH prices. OFFENSIVELY RUDE staff. read more

I absolutely love this coffee shop. This is a drive-through coffee shop, but they do also have an indoor and an outdoor seating area. They do have wifi and there are a few outlets inside. My usual drink of choice is a large (it's huge) cold brew with a little bit of cream and whatever flavor sounds good that day. This only costs about $2.75. The price does go up as you add more flavors. They have so many flavor options and always have new drinks associated with whatever holiday is near. I just recently tried the 'Golden Gate' which is part of their 4th of July menu and it was delicious. Who would have thought that banana flavoring would be good in coffee? Their prices are great and their sizes are way bigger than what you'd get anywhere else. Their medium here is like a venti at Starbucks. They also roast their own beans here which you can also buy to take home. I have not done that yet, but I definitely plan on doing so. On busy days, it can take a while to order because this is a small drive-thru and they can only fit so many employees inside, but I don't mind the wait because the employees are always so sweet and kind. Side note: I live in Stockton and drive all the way to Java Stop because I love the customer service, the prices, and the coffee that much. It's definitely my go-to study place. read more

Java stop for coffee is amazing.. Best coffee around. Unfortunately, this review is NOT for their coffee. This review is based on what I saw on Monday October 21st aprox. 3:00pm. I had wanted to try a lunch sandwitch I heard it was good. And maybe it would have been if I didnt see how it was prepared. I order with a guy who doesnt seem at all interested that im there a sandwitch for me and a kids hot chocolate for my son. I payed with my card $8.02 and declined a receipt. I sat down to wait for my food. As I did a young boy came up and asked for the bathroom key. He did his buisness and came out and asked the worker where he should put the key. "Go ahead and just set it down." The worker said. The boy plopped it over the counter on to the cutting board and the worker picked it up and moved it. 1. He did not clean the cutting board before making my sandwitch. 2. He DID NOT wash his hands after touching my card and the bathroom key. He did however look over at me to see if i watched him move the bathroom key. He sets my bagel down on the uncleaned board and cuts it.. Starting my sandwitch. It took me about 30 seconds of internal debate before I asked him about it. "The key was sitting right here" *He points to where the knife now is* "So where the knife is sitting? Youre going to cut my sandwitch?" I asked. "I can wash it for you if you want" he says to me. Like seriously? No. That should have been washed the second ANYTHING like that touched the cutting board. I asked for a refund. (My son still wanted his hot chocolate and as long as that man didnt make it I felt it would be ok.) He said he would put $7.02 back on my card which it hasnt come through yet. It just honestly makes me wonder if he has a food handlers card if he didn't understand what he did wrong. I went to wait outside for my sons hot chocolate. The woman came out and asked "did you pay?" No hello hows it goin? Nothing! I said I did. Pay and i asked her if the man inside is new? Perhaps explaining why he didnt use proper care when handling food. She told me he was not new and I told her the same thing I wrote above. She did not say sorry, or tell me someone would look in to it, no she said "well sometimes people just set the key there. (on the cutting board)" What? The 2nd girl I saw with the blue hair was nice. She seemed to be moving things back and forth between the shack and the building, she asked me if id been helped. And apperently my son's hot chocolate was good. For coffee I'll come back. Got to Java Stop at about 5:10 am this morning, first of all the cold brew that I ordered was awesome! Nothing like the bitter cold brew that if your lucky, you get from Starbucks. Now the bagels were another story. Ordered two Everything bagels, one regular and one N.Y. Lots of cream cheese was on both, which is a good thing, but my wife and I both felt after eating them that they weren't fresh but day old bagels. We were disappointed since we had been looking forward to trying the bagels. I'll go back for the cold brew, but will pass on the bagels, at least at Panera I know I'm getting a fresh bagel. read more

This was my first visit in years- but I will be back soon for sure! The service was super fast and so helpful & friendly. The mango ice tea (unsweetened) is my new favorite drink, hands down best hot chocolate (per my son) and their blended java chip beat Starbucks by a mile! The prices are really good- we drove away spending much less than at big chains, and love supporting local business. One of my favorite spots in town. Last time I asked for an extra shot in my large iced latte and the barista asked me if I was sure because it comes standard with six! Definitely a good deal, especially compared to Starbucks, etc. I like the drink variety but I wish it was easier to see the full menu of specials etc while waiting in line. I also wish that there was more process standardization between baristas. Like when I get the infused red bull I always ask for light syrup as a precaution because some of them tend to go way overboard. I love the online ordering capability as well. If you choose to go inside you'll be invited behind the counter to chat with your barista's as they prepare your fantastic drinks. Why behind the counter? Well because the inside is small(I like to say cozy), just small enough for you, a few of your friends and your barista's to fit. It's like spending time with your friend as they make you a cup of coffee right in their kitchen. Or if you're in a rush zip into one of their two drive-thru's. Great coffee, great cheery barista's, and awesome building and location. The only thing I say to be a tragedy, is that they have pumpkin pie not pumpkin spice! I have been coming to the java stop since I was a little girl and my mother would bring me for a monthly treat so I have always loved this place. The coffee is good, the people are mostly nice (explanation to come) and the prices are fair for the size. The wait can be a little long if they are busy but it's normally worth it. The coffee is always just the way you want it, tasty. The medium size cups are like a Starbucks Venti so you can't complain there even if the price for two medium blended mochas is $13. My last visit on 10-15-15 around 3pm was a bit surprising as I was told I could not get what I was asking for. I normally get a blended mocha with almond milk. Today, I didn't really want the chocolate so I asked for a blended iced coffee with almond milk. No go. I was told they can't do that and the girl sounded annoyed with my request. She said I can do a mocha or latte or something like that. Um what? Do you not sell coffee? Can you seriously not just do something so simple as iced coffee and blend it? I guess not. I was disappointed that my simple request was refused and I didn't want to make a stink as I was already getting an attitude from the brunette behind the window so I ordered my normal mocha instead. I will continue to come but it would be nice to have more options in the future, or better attitude from the server. read more

I've been told that their roasted beans are sold all over California, i even found a place near monterey that brewed their coffee. The coffee is pretty good and the drive thru is pretty efficient, it's a good alternative to Starbucks. read more
