We love Java stop and have been going for a couple of years. Since they recently sold, the coffee is good but plan on bringing your own cup and carrier. The lids don't fit properly and the carrier is thin. I got 4 coffees and the carrier bent and collapsed all over my lap. Hot coffee all over my lap and car seat. I understand cutting costs, but not at the expense of burning your customers with flimsy cups and carriers. read more

I've been a customer here for over 6 years & have ALWAYS had a great experience. All staff is very friendly & helpful, provide quick service, and the variety of drinks are top notch. No matter what I order (from iced coffee, smoothies, breakfast munchies, etc) I'm always pleasantly surprised at how tasty everything is. Been in LOVE with this place since I was a teenager! I've lived in many places throughout the west coast and have yet to find coffee drinks as good as they are here. I even thought Washington with its surplus of coffee junctions would have SOMETHING, but I was wrong. Java Stop is simply the best. Their prices are less than desirable though, so for budgetary reasons I keep this place a once a week deal. My drink is a iced white chocolate mocha...it's amazing! Most of the "baristas" are very friendly but sometimes you can catch one on a rude day. So much potential, but such a let down. Came here on a rainy day with my husband and daughter. My husband ordered a "medium tea", and it was the saddest tea with one tea bag. He may as well been drinking hot water. I ordered a White Mocha, I could've got it's equal at the local 7 Eleven. The set up to order a drink is just awkward, and rather unsafe if you bring a child. This is such a great little place in Lodi that has awesome coffee, smoothies & shakes. I went there today for their Cash Mob event to support local businesses in Lodi. It had been a few months since I had been here. I ordered the Gingerbread Latte & it was delish. The service was fast and friendly. It's so nice to have a drive up with great service in Lodi that isn't your typical robotic person from Starbucks. I will be back again, very soon. (Been here 3 times) My first two times were simply to get coffee and the service was friendly. I don't know how speedy they are since the two times I went were Saturdays. Today was my 3rd time and, again, very friendly service. My chai tea came out relatively fast. My wife told me they had a lounge and to my surprise, they did (as a matter of fact, I'm writing this review in the lounge right now, and with wifi, obviously). As you can see by my pic, it's comfortable and cute. One recommendation is possibly a small couch over by the little fireplace and a couple of armchairs and low volume cafe jams (no music right now). Just got a large coffee with flavor and a muffin for a considerably lower price then another coffee chain in Lodi.. I don't know why I've never been here before. Java Stop do their own roasting from what I understand. That means practically nothing to me, I just want coffee that tastes good. I do think for some of you coffee snobs, them roasting their own beans holds some value. Also for you anti corporate types Java Stop is an independent coffee shop. I enjoy being able to drive up to a window to get a Java Jolt! This coffee is good! Just tell them what you are craving-strong, iced or milk shakey and they will suggest something. I recently tried the Nirvana (iced w/2 vanilla pumps) & it was strong and good! Woke up my senses! The people at the window have always been nice. I was surprised by there attention to detail and customer service. Their Italian was stronger than I like so I asked for something milder and they offered a free cup of their Sweetheart blend which was out of this world. I did revisit the cup of Italian and realized it was strong like a dark roast should be but had a great lingering aftertaste which was pretty smooth. They let me tour the facility and informed me that they do a Europeon style of roast. I had to chuckle when I noticed the sign hanging from their building which said "We accept Starbucks Customers." I was instantly greeted with big smiles, even though the place was super busy, and was treated as though I was the most important customer even with cars piling behind me. They remembered my drink and my name even though I only have a chance to go in about five times a month (wish it were more). Sometimes I take my chiuhuah with me and they have a doggy treat for her!
