The to go area

Unfortunately, Cilantro has completely changed. I used to really like their tacos and everything that they served. But, the last few times I've noticed a changed. The meats are under seasoned. They're still good quality meat and product. But, it's just not the same as it used to be. I also hate how they charge $1.50 for pico de gallo on two street tacos. When, that is the only thing that has any flavor. All in all, they have good quality food. It's just under seasoned. They have plenty of seating. Everything is sparkling clean. And most of the people are super sweet and helpful. So, it makes up for what's lacking in flavor.

Tiny tacos that are so expensive. These are smaller than Taco Bell soft tacos. Inflation!!!

Tiny expensive tacos. I guess inflation has caused taco prices to spiral out of control.

The food and service as good. Clean spacious dining area. I ordered the steak taco dinner with extra rice. The rice was on the dry side. But the tacos were seasoned pretty good. The girl behind the counter was nice and friendly. The day I came there was a long line, but it moved pretty quickly. Reasonable prices. I also like the nice green colors of the wall decor.

Food had no flavor. Tasted so plain. Salsa was like water. Pastor tacos were crazy greasy. Did not come with cilantro.

Flan and yes that looks like watered down egg yolk instead of caramel
Gena C.

We ordered from here and got the flan since it was buy one get one free. It looked so off from the get go. No caramel whatsoever. Even turned it upside down and still no caramel. The edges were spilling of this weird water base. I opened it and immediately got a whiff of something spoiled. I. could not stand the smell. DO NOT RECOMMEND

COME HERE FOR REAL ITS SO GOOD i was in the worst mood starving and this made me actually so happy coudlnt recommend enough

Each location varies with regard to taste and quality. Pretty much a hit or miss for me. So when food is good it is great.

Steak burrito, guac, and hot salsa are 10/10. Definitely our new go to spot when in need of a quick Mexican fix.

Orders a bowl, it was 90% lettuce, very little steak, cheese, or guacamole. It was cold. Not worth the price at all.

In a fast food world, that kind of personal touch is lost 99% of the time. I really love this place and can't wait to come back soon.

It felt relaxed but still fun at the same time. People were laughing at the bar, couples were sitting close and holding hands at their tables, it just had this mix of energy that you don't see everywhere. It was like a blend of different moods all working together in the best way. The host was the only person I really interacted with, but they were super nice and helpful, which made the experience even better. I came in for takeout, but after seeing the atmosphere and how good the food was, I already know I need to go back and actually sit down and enjoy the place for real.

Anyone who eats tortilla chips knows the danger. Everything is going great until one rotates 14 degrees in your mouth and stabs you directly in the roof of it. Your eyes start watering while you desperately try to play it off like you didn't just lose a fight to something primarily made of corn. The chimichanga had all the crunch without the violence. Service was super quick, and everyone was genuinely friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was interesting too, with a lot of Aztec-inspired artwork throughout the restaurant. It definitely gives you something to look at while contemplating how quickly you just demolished a chimichanga. Was it slightly overpriced? Probably. But this is Glen Ellyn, where paying a few dollars more for everything seems to be part of the local zoning ordinance. Los, as she calls it, serves up some delicious more authentic Mexican. It is a fast casual eatery that seems to be a favorite amongst locals. The menu consists of a lot of your tex-mex staples like tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and more! You can dine in or carry out, although you get complimentary chips and salsa if you dine in. Service is good and the food comes out quickly. If you order separately, you have to order and pay at the front, otherwise your server will take your order. The inside is very casual and not the cleanest, but not to the point where it's unappealing. The chips were decent and were warm when they arrived. They looked more like Tostitos, but they appeared fresh so I assumed they were made in house. The salsa is great, a little sweet, a little spicy--perfect! I ended up ordering three steak tacos and a pork tamale. The tacos do not come with complimentary rice and beans. I personally appreciated this as I wasn't in the food for either on this particular occasion. Food came out about 8-10 minutes later. Served made to order, everything looked phenomenal! The steak tacos had two tortillas each, filled with ample amounts of tender steak, some shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, and topped with tomato slices. I loved the corn tortillas as they seemed homemade. Homemade tortillas are a game changer and automatically amplify any Mexican dish. The steak was flavorful, a little chewy, but still good. The tacos were packed with steak and they were very filling. My friend got the chicken tacos and they came with onion and cilantro. These appeared more "authentic" than mine, but I still liked mine. Now the pork tamale was easily the best I've had. The corn masa had the perfect texture and the pork was very flavorful. I would recommend this as a side for sure! Overall, I enjoyed Los and can see why my friends Cole here for a causal dinner together. It seems like the perfect spot to grab a chill dinner with friends. Food seems authentic, service is decent, and the vibes are super chill. I will say, this place gives "hole in the wall" kind of vibes, but trust me the food is great! I really loved the homemade tortillas and the pork tamale, both hit the spot. Portions are large and the food isn't expensive at all. Would definitely try it if you haven't already.
