I took my Raymond Weil tri-gold watch in for battery replacement as I didn't trust leaving it with one of these "fast-fix it" watch shops. Took a day, but he had it ready at the appointed time, and I'm back in the "time business"!! I was having surgery on my right hand, so needed to get the ring off that had been on my finger for years. The large chain jewelry stores said they no longer cut rings off and to call the fire department. Thank goodness I found Jax Jewelers. They cut the ring off, an easy procedure, so I decided to have them cut my wedding ring off as well. It turns out they do a lot of repairs and resizing for those large chain jewelry stores. The cost of removing the rings was inexpensive and could be used as part of the cost to have them resized. Once the swelling on my hand went away, I returned for resizing. The cost was reasonable. A week later, when I picked up the rings, the owner showed me how he had also added some gold to secure a loose diamond in my wedding ring, and didn't charge me. Throughout my visits, the owner was kind and thoughtful with suggestions. As I looked at each of the display cabinets, I was surprised and pleased with the different custom designs I saw. 12/19/2023 picked up my rings; realizing my 3 VS1 diamond were no longer original rings I gave him to fix. He pushed them toward me said what you gave me is what you got back now get out. Told him they were all wrong , i would be back did not want to snap. Three rings value he gave me back are now less than retail value when husband purchased 1986, 1990, & 1992. Thought i was dealing with a honest professional that verbally gave me his word several times 3 diamond rings from recently deceased husband would be safe. Told him the truth my papers burned in house fire 1998, 3 rings from my deceased husband had his word twice on my wedding ring that he would not do anything to original stone that was when I had price on rebuilding prongs. When I brought it in told him again the importance nothing happen to the ring got his word again just rebuilding prongs put original stone back, 27 years in the business said he was not going to do anything to original stone. I was mentally compromised, my lower back was jacked, and anniversary of husband passing put my brain back on a roller coaster. Gave him two other rings, he gave me his word was not going to do anything to original diamonds. On 12/19/23 when picking up; to my horror saw all 3 diamond rings were all wrong. My wedding ring was VS1 1.75 carats pink round brilliant when he gave it back I1-12 1.72 carats light brown round brilliant, engagement ring center stone was VS1 .80 carats two tone blue marquise raised diamond returned to me SI1 .40 carats color H marquise flat stone, Eternity Ring was VS1 total 1.00 carats 20 .05 pt diamonds two rows of 10 round brilliant white, returned to me I1 1.00 carats S braided 12 round brilliant color H. Purposely verbally stressed to him how important these are to me. Next day tried to reason with him he charged at my yelling sprayed spit on my face don't care about your hubands jewelery, don't care about you(meaning me) and dont care about what ayone else thinks. Jeweler told police officer did everything on work order he never went over that with me, realizing he had wrong specs when i went for appraisal it was his intent all along to do me wrong & wrong specs on 2nd receipt not what we verbally went over. Never signed anything; he never went over what he caĺled work order. What happened to be so heartless, and his word 4 times have no honor. Treated me like I don't matter, here to tell him everyone matters. No respect for the living, or dead. Mr jeweler don't hate me for I have told the truth. I know God is my witness, check the Bible your fate for hurting a widow. Also believe my dearly deceased hubby has my back even now after the here after. There is bad karma when you do the wrong things. Hope this does not happen to anyone else. read more

I have a lot of 22 karat gold, and my preference is gold chains, since my family is originally from southern Asia, specifically Sri Lanka, and most of the gold chains are in 22 karat. I needed a pendant to be soldered, and I needed my cross to be put onto another flat piece of gold, and Jack was fantastic. I've never really been to a jewelry store in the US, as most stores do not carry 22 karat, but in terms of expertise, he was well equipped and very genuine and kind to answer all my questions. My customer service experience was top-notch. I have a Medic-Alert bracelet that had a worn-out band. The band took a lot of abuse, because my grandson likes to remove it from my wrist and play with it. When it broke apart, I took it to Jax Jewelers, where Jack fixed it quickly for no charge. When it broke again, I returned to Jax, and, while Jack was fixing it, I planned to leave $20 on the counter as I left, because I didn't see why I should keep getting free service. When Jack came out from the back, the band was put back together, but Jack predicted that it would not last because one of the parts was broken, and I did not bring in any spare links. So, we chose a new band from a catalogue for a reasonable price. I was glad to finally have the excuse to pay for something. The new band came in in a few days. Jack installed it and sized it.
