This spot is open since June 2023. They are part of a bigger international chain famous for these vadapav. I liked it. Thr bread and actual deitter was perfect. The green chutney was average though and needs more texture as it was too watery Also tried their pani puri. The pani was excellent and so was the sweet sauce. I would serve the potato beans at room temp. Mine was ice cold. read more

I find it hard to believe (based on the food alone) that this place has 150+ successful locations. The food was a terrible disappointment compared to the vastly superior (in all aspects) food options nearby. We decided to drop by given the hype one fine evening. It's located in Decatur - stone throw away from Patel Plaza. Plenty of parking - located close to Kroger. On entering we found this place to be clean with a chic decor. Blue velvet chairs and tables with old Indian coins and currency! We perused the menu on the board and decided to order the garlic cheese sandwich, spicy cheese bhakri pizza, jb butter vadapav and the Mysore masala dosa. These are all typical Bombay street food dishes (and my favorites given that I am from Bombay). The food came out quickly albeit the server was a little confused whose food it was. Vadapav was first: great presentation in a jai bhavani paper plate with a green chili on the side and a sauce sachet. As the name suggests, it had a lot of butter all around. The bread was soft and fluffy but a little crispy too and the vada was spicy with a good potato filling. BUT, the vada was mashed up and a little cold by the time we got it. I think the cardinal rule of vadapav is to not mash the vada before it's served (or at least that's what I thought). Also felt the sauce on the side was unnecessary. I wish there was less butter and more of the chilli garlic powder on the bread. The garlic cheese sandwich was just a thin slice of bread toasted with a LOT of yellow cheese, green peppers and spices. Call it what it is please. The bhakri pizza was decent. I didn't appreciate cold cheese on the pizza though. Melt it, warm it - do something rather than give me cold cheese on a pizza. The pizza and sandwich (aka toast with cheese) was a little too spicy too, more than tolerable for my palate. The portion sizes are tiny from what you can see in the pictures. Given that we were still hungry we decided to order the Mysore masala dosa. This is a thin crepe with some spices rubbed on the inside and stuffed with potato filling. The dosa came out quick but was a little soggy. The potato filling was good but the sambhar and coconut chutney (which are typical accompaniments) tasted like a novice had made them. Watered down, no salt, no flavor and definitely nothing traditional. My experience was a big disappointment. Like I said before, with food like this I am surprised how this place can be popular enough to have so many locations. Maybe the food at this location was an anomaly? My recommendation - stay away until they fix something. Lot of better options around with more food portions and better flavors. read more

we went there yesterday. After waiting for 10 minutes, the lady on the desk did nor even talk to us or greet us. Very rude behavior. We went there for the first time after seeing the 4.8 review, but it was a very wrong choice. They do not know how to welcome customer. We left after 10 minutes standing in front of her and did not get any attention and the environment was very unhygienic as well. Then we went to Desi Tadka, we welcomed right after we entered the door. The food was not that great but at least they know how to welcome customer. read more

It's the cutest little spot with amazing food. The test for Indian street food is amazing to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcome and gave us an amazing experience. This place is great! The atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also amiable. They know what they're doing and what they're talking about, and You can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. The food is pretty good, all INDIAN classic street food is worth testing here, Its have a good test and some twists, and for their prices, it's 100% worth it Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing - everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best The meal we had while in JAY BHAVANI. Highly recommend! The website needs some updating. The Indian street food is just what it says. A la carte version of tiny mini snacks and appetizers. I love the spicy yummy food with authentically Indian flavors. It is a great place to hangout, I see young people sitting with their friends and laptop spending time here. The service was good. The staff works hard. Just enjoyed my first meal from here, and it was delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful too. I've never had Indian street food before, so I was completely lost looking at the menu. The cashier recommended a few options, and I went with the CTC sandwich because he said it was one of their most popular choices. I also got a veggie puff pastry. Both were amazing! I'm somewhat sensitive with spice, and the sandwich was the perfect level of heat for me. My boyfriend has never been a fan of Indian food in the past, but he ended up eating half of my meal, haha! The ambiance is great here as well. Lots of seating and really comfy velvet booths and chairs. Everything was super clean too! The menu has a ton of options, so there's something for everyone. We went today there drove 1 hrs to try this place but very disappointed about their food . We ordered vadapav and Manchuria noodles but no taste no hot sauce on it and vegetables are raw , they not even cooked in a wok so beware of this place because we are trying to support our community but they are not deserved.
