There are dedicated parking spaces and a parking lot for the restaurant. You walk up to the trailer and place your order at the window. Then you are given a number. Those of us waiting for our food shared some stories of our travel adventures so that added to the experience. BJ's Diner is located along the river so on a warmer day this would have been a great place to sit at the picnic tables and enjoy the view. But with the strong winds, I opted to eat in my car as did most of the others. I ordered a cheeseburger and am so glad I didn't do the double cheeseburger option as this was huge. It was delicious and came with many toppings and they let me customize. I also got a side of crinkle fries. I didn't care for the fries as they were mushy and I would have liked more crispiness to them. They were hot so that was a plus as nothing is worse than cold fries. The service was great and efficient here and the prices were reasonable. I will stop here again the next time I am in Cherokee.

The food truck is tucked behind a brewery, making it the perfect place to grab a drink, relax, and enjoy a delicious meal in a quiet, laid-back atmosphere. Out of all the places we tried during our trip, this was some of the simplest food--but also some of the most flavorful. It proves that you don't need a huge menu to make memorable food. GR Street Burger is a part of a food hall known as Gordon Ramsay Food Market that features a plethora of items including this joint where they serve burgers. Smash burgers in particular. You order at the kiosk and it's just like ordering from your kiosk style place that's not Gordon Ramsay. And this food hall is tucked away at the far end of the Cherokee Casino so literally, to get there, you park at the parking garage and you have to meander through the casino to get to the food hall. There is no service as you order from a kiosk and grab it yourself as well as bus your own trash. There isn't much of an ambiance since it's a food hall. Think mall food court type of ambiance. Now for the burgers. Not impressed at all considering Ramsay prides on brand consistency and yet it seems like this place is the last ditch effort to capitalize on the Ramsay brand but in short, it's probably last on Gordon's list of places to visit to ensure consistency because I'll be quite honest here. The flavor of the burger is lackluster. I had the Hell's Kitchen Burger and frankly, not impressed. The potato bun was nice and toasted but the burger patties lacked the seasoning Gordon prides himself on, the avocado mash didn't add anything of value, and the jalapeno pepper also didn't give much in terms of flavor. The fries were Red Robin steak fries at best. The fries with the burgers were robust and crunchy but lacked seasoning and that pithy light sprinkle of dried chives also added nothing. At least with Red Robin, you get unlimited baskets and their proprietary seasoned salt. Here the fries didn't have much in terms of seasoning. I will say the only redeeming quality here is that the food comes out hot as it's made to order so that has that going for them anyways. Overall, if you can find a decent mom and pop burger joint or a BurgerFi or a Red Robin nearby, your best bet will be that instead. Get your winnings at the casino, pull away at $1000 or $2000 then exit and go find a better burger joint because this place isn't it for burgers. Especially at $17 plus state and resort tax.

None of the spaces are marked but it's not difficult to figure out where to park. Since the lot is gravel, be aware if you have mobility issues. You can park near the entrance but not adjacent to the building so there will be at least a short walk to the door. There is also a small step up to the porch in front of the door. The pickup window is next to the entrance door which is a nice touch as the interior is small and would certainly get crowded if to go orders had to wait inside. The interior is small with table seating for about 20. There is also a small outside patio for warmer weather dining. There are several windows allowing you to look over the very near river. We got there shortly before they opened and were seated within a minute of entering. We got a nice corner table next to the river. Our servers were very pleasant. They went over the menu and specials and were very patient answering any questions. One thing to note is they do not allow substitutions, so read the menu description carefully to be sure you know what you are ordering. We wound up ordering their daily specials. Unfortunately, I forgot to take note of what they were called. One was a curry and the other included short ribs and soup. We also ordered spring rolls. The spring rolls were brought to the table in about 10 minutes. They were hot and crunchy and excellent. The dipping sauce was a touch spicy and really brought out the flavor of the spring rolls. The main dishes were brought out after about another 15 minutes. The curry dish was outstanding. The meat was tender and seasoned very well. There was a slight overall spiciness to the dish, but it quickly settled into a warm glow that simply begged for another bite. The short ribs and soup special were also outstanding. The ribs were cooked perfectly with the meat falling off the bone. The soup was flavorful and the ingredients fresh. We ate until we were stuffed and then ate a little more. We simply could not finish everything and took the last bit with us, and it was just as good reheated the next day. We also decided to take a mango and coconut milk dessert to go for later in the evening. This was a wonderful finish to a great meal. The mango was fresh and flavorful. The coconut milk and sticky rice made for a great taste texture. For such an unassuming building the dining experience would rival that of any big city. The fact it is located in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina allows it to offer an experience unrivaled by any better known restaurant. If you are anywhere near Sylva, you own it to yourself to partake of a meal at Dalaya.
