    Strawberry Shortcake

We visited the casino while staying at a cabin nearby. I thought it would be cool to say I had something Gordon Ramsey. I really wanted to try the pizza but we were eating at the cabin later so I got a slice of strawberry shortcake and peanut butter pie. Both were good but nothing special. We get home and my husband goes to dinner at a Kickback Jacks and comes home with the exact same Strawberry Shortcake. I felt tricked.

Well, now I know why the ratings here are so poor... At first glance, this GR Food Market (inside Harrah's Cherokee Casino) is a really nice food court... I also liked the variety of food options... everything from Burgers, Tacos and Pizza to Sushi and Fish 'n Chips. Sadly, there were several different issues going on. First of all, we stopped into the Food Court for lunch on Monday, and half of the vendors were closed!! WHAT?!? Food Court not open during weekday for lunch??? I do recall them being open for dinner on Sunday night...but not for Monday lunch. Ridiculous! Also, the few vendors that were open, there were hardly any one-on-one service. They wanted us to do everything via their automated screens (or barcode)..which wasn't the friendliest kinds either. In fact, we felt it was bad business because a majority of folks there (LOTS of Senior Citizens!) seemed quite frustrated with the automated ordering system they were forced to use. Anyway, we both opted to scan the barcode, and order our foods that way...and it too had its problems. I, for one, got ripped off ordering 2 sets of Fries. Why? I ordered a burger (Street Burger), and I don't recall seeing that it came with fries, so I ordered a side of Fries. Total tally of $23...which I thought was a bit too expensive...but that was largely due to the fact I ordered an extra set of fries which I didn't need! Burger was fairly substantial, and better than anticipated...and the Fries were really good. I was still ticked because what I really wanted to order were the Pizza...but when we went by there, and I asked the guy if I can order, he just rudely screamed out, "CLOSED"! (I don't think he spoke English too well). Well, they opened about 5 minutes after that fact...and if he had told me, I would have waited. Instead, I had to resort to a Burger...which really isn't my thing. For all of these reasons, I can't rate them any higher than 2. My husband got the Tacos, and he seemed to like it O-Kay, but not quite thrilled. All in all, the food court experience was beyond disappointing... especially given its potential to be great. Again, why closed for lunch during the week? There were plenty of people waiting to be served! I guess finding staff must have been the issue. In any case, we did agree to return in the future and see if our experience was as fluke, or no... Hopefully I can try the GR Pizza next time??

Honestly for a food court in a casino the options are really good and the quality of the food is really good. Pro Tip - go straight for the kiosk and place your order. When it's busy things can take a while. Burger options are great and the pepperoni pizza is really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is clean and modern.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been here numerous times and really like it.

Wasn't able to get a reservation at any of the sit down restaurants at Harrah's, as expected when trying to get dinner last minute on a Saturday night so went to Gordon Ramsay's Food Market. The market is essentially an upscale food court of course coming with an upscale price. You order at the kiosk which I my mind was easier then going to each booth and you can order from each booth too if everyone in your party wants something different which I did like. I went with the Fish & Chips which came with 3 pieces of Cod, Fries (which I upgraded to Dirty Chips #3 Cheddar Cheese Sauce and Bacon) and 2 sauces going with the Tartar and Curry Mango. The food came out rather quickly which we expected. The fish was fine. Pretty mild but cooked well. For sure needed the sauce and glad they let you get 2. The Curry Mango was my favorite. Had good flavor, maybe to little too sweet in my option but much better then the Tarter which was just your basic Tarter. I will say the fries might have been the stand out. There where a lot of them and they had plenty of toppings too. Was really surprised by the about of bacon and it was actually pretty thick cut bacon too. I also got to try Ashley Farmhouse Burger which I thought was pretty good and you could see them smashing the burgers as they made them. All and all Gordon's is a pricy food court with mediocre food but when you can't get a table anywhere else it will do that trick.

When I was at street burger the lady packing the food just left my box open with the burger side ways and I had to close it but then I ask for a bag and she looked at me like I was crazy then threw at me and said pick it up like what did I do! Btw she lady was there between 8:00 PM-9:00 PM on 1/23/26

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We've walked through here many times, and with plenty of seating and a wide variety of choices, this food hall is always a solid stop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You'll find everything from fish and chips to street pizza, burgers, a breakfast spot, a full bar, and even a convenience-style general store. This time, we stopped in for a quick lunch before heading home and decided to try Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips. Wifey ordered the lobster and shrimp basket, while I went with the fried shrimp basket. The only side offered is French fries, and you get to pick two sauces. The food came out quickly and was served piping hot. Her basket looked good, though to me the lobster seemed a little over-fried. She disagreed and really enjoyed her seafood, but did mention the fries could have been a little crispier. My shrimp basket was also hot and fresh, with about five to six shrimp -- a fair portion for a quick bite before hitting the road. Overall, it was a very good visit to the food hall this time around.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a pretty cool set up with multiple eateries in one location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is served fresh to-go or set down style. The service is great and prompt.

I'm honestly surprised by some of the low reviews. We've been here multiple times and the food has always been consistently good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plus, the food court is always clean and well-kept.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's become one of our regular spots -- definitely recommend giving it a try We ordered backyard burger and chicken and chips. Gordon's Backyard Burger is a reminder that simplicity, when done well, doesn't need a twist -- just great ingredients and execution. I ordered the signature burger with American cheese, bibb lettuce, tomato, red onion, and house-made pickles, and every element felt deliberate. The patty itself was juicy and well-seasoned, grilled just right to let the beef shine without overpowering the other ingredients. Melted American cheese added the perfect salty creaminess, oozing slightly over the edges in that ideal, Instagram-worthy way. Gordon's Backyard Burger is a reminder that simplicity, when done well, doesn't need a twist -- just great ingredients and execution. I ordered the signature burger with American cheese, bibb lettuce, tomato, red onion, and house-made pickles, and every element felt deliberate. The chicken was hot, crispy, and well-seasoned. The outer coating had a satisfying crunch, without being overly greasy, and the inside was moist and flavorful. While not overly spiced, there was a light peppery kick and a hint of garlic that made it far more than bland. Every bite had that golden-brown comfort we crave from fried chicken, and it was clearly made fresh to order.

Only if you HAVE TOO! Get reservations at one of the restaurants before you screw up like us! Food court food

It's a food court. Maybe upscale... it's above mall food court & maybe better than the hospital cafeteria- but when you don't make reservations at the restaurants, it's what you're left with. Burgers & fries were solid & best bet if that's what you want. Pizzas looked not so great & in speaking with those around us that had them said it's ok - their kids loved it. One in our party had the fried rice w Chicken & broccoli which was nice. Mediocre for what we thought we were walking into. Get reservations more than the day before! Or this could be you... eating at the food court! Little bit of everything for everyone. There is a wait on weekend evenings! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thank goodness for a bar nearby.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Gordon Ramsay's food market is located in the heart of the hotel, called the Cherokee resort and casino. It is comprised of multiple different food vendors. They have a wide variety of options, including a bakery, pizza and burgers, fish and chips, and other seafood options. While there are multiple different offerings, not all of them are open at the same time, which was incredibly frustrating. I opted for the fish and chips from Gordon Ramsay's fish and chip shop. They have a wonderful option where you can do the surprise box, which includes a piece of cod, a piece of chicken, and two shrimp. You can then choose your chips, however, you would like. Some prefer it to be regular french fries, but they have other options such as their dirty chips, one, which includes chorizo, jalapeños, onions, and spice. I found the food to be very delicious and it satisfied my craving for fish and chips.

The Gordon Ramsay food market is a good spot to grab something to eat when in Cherokee. It's food court style and there are many options. Beware: hours are different for each spot and many are open on different days as well. There is a small Irish pub where you can have a drink/bar food . On this trip, I tried the street burger which was very good and a pastrami/corned beef sandwich. Both were very, very good. Here's what you can get every day: 1) Premade sandwiches, salads, snacks 2) Drinks-fountain, water, etc. The following stations are available at different times: 1) Fish and Chip 2) Street Burger 3) Pizza place 4) Asian/sushi place (was not open Whole we were there so I didn't get to try) 5) Bake and brew They keep the place very clean and overall the service is good. There is a handicapped/family bathroom, but, unfortunately, we had to wait about 20 minutes because an employee was using the handicapped restroom. ****Cherokee really needs to work on their handicapped bathroom options as there any many handicapped seniors who frequent the casino and there are a total of 3 in the entire place.

Located inside the Harrahs Cherokee Resort, this food hall is almost all things Gordon Ramsay. There was definitely a good variety of items for various taste buds but not everything is open all the time. We were torn between the fish and burgers and decided to start with the fish and get the burgers if we were still hungry. The fish was large and tasty while the chips were plentiful and delicious with the chorizo and other toppings. Service was a little slow for the amount of people but the fish and chips were worth it. After we were pretty much full so instead of the burger, we opted to get a little cake from the bakery place. All good except they closed 5 minutes earlier. It was like 2 or 3 pm. I guess no one eats dessert after dinner or for an afternoon snack. The people were still there wrapping up the cakes, that honestly probably by tomorrow would not be as good. They told us we could get a sweet from the grab and go market in the center. However we did not want cupcakes or cookies. There were no slices of the cakes there, which would probably be a better way to use up after they close. So that was a bit disappointing. I guess for next time, dessert first.

Inside the casino on the 2nd floor is the GR Street Pizza restaurant. Fair options for dining, priced as expected.

Depending on which way you are coming, you may need to drive to the far end of the parking lot past the bakery to enter the lot. There is a closer entrance but it is angled for the opposite direction and not an easy turn. There are also several one-way lanes in the parking lot so you may need to drive extra to get to an open parking spot. We did find handicapped spaces close to the entrance, but you need to drive to the back of the lot to get onto the one-way lane that goes past them. While these are the closest spots, it is still a bit of a walk to the entrance of the building, although everything is nicely paved and even. Once you get in, the interior is bright and inviting. There are many centralized seating options throughout the interior, mostly high-top tables but a few normal tables arranged in cozy settings. There is a patio in the rear of the building for when the weather is nice. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The center is made up of all the various eating establishments. There is no specific seating for the individual restaurants, so you will order your food from whatever place strikes you fancy and then take the food packaged into To Go containers to a table in one of the many seating areas. Make sure you pick up utensils and napkins from where you ordered your food as there is nothing on the tables. We were there after the lunch rush so it really was not crowded at all. There were small groups of people wandering around as well as several eating a late lunch. We did notice the overhead background music was loud and made conversation difficult. I could imagine during lunch or the in evening the overall sound level would be high as the acoustics do not favor conversation. This is pretty much only a food court. We had heard there were various craft shops as well, but apparently those had all closed. While the food selection is quite varied, addition of something to do other than eating would make this a destination location rather than just a food stop. There is some renovation happening in one end, so perhaps other shops are coming in the future. Still, it is a clean location with great interior space and makes use of a building with a lot of history that was important to the area.
