I had an altercation with a rib eye steak (bone in) at dinner recently. Fractured my right front tooth to the point that it was just hanging there. We were on vacation in Palm Desert and a friend recommended Doctor Jorgensen. It turned out he was in the office in Palm Desert the night in question and had me fixed up with a temporary cap and out quickly. I've been seeing Dr. Jorgensen since I moved to Palm Springs six years ago. I've had regular check-ups, cleanings and some minor repair work. Last year my lower front teeth started to bother me. They were sensitive and a little loose. The doctor told me that from aging I had some bone loss and the gums were receding. He said we could let it go a while and see what happens. But the condition worsened. He recommended removal of those teeth and having implants. His office worked with my insurance carrier on a payment schedule. I moved ahead with the extractions. The doctor prescribed pain meds but honestly there was minimal pain and all I used was Tylenol. I had sutures for a few weeks until the area healed. The doctor took his time to make sure everything was ready before he put in the crowns. It took a few months from start to finish. The office staff was great to work with and concerned on every visit. So far it's amazing how good the implants look and feel. read more

It's so rare these days to find a dentist who isn't out to get you to spend out of pocket for services you do not need. That is why Dr. Jorgensen and his team is so great! Being a new patient who just had x-rays done at another dental practice six months prior, Dr. Jorgensen's office was easy to work with and instead of pushing for another set of x-rays (which the insurance will not cover), they contacted the former dental office to get all the necessary files. The hygienist, Taylor, is courteous, friendly, and very thorough during the cleaning procedure. She's also very knowledgeable and provided information and tips to improve my dental health. Dr. Jorgensen: What can I say? I have seen him for almost 30 years since he first started his practice. He is the kindest, most honest, and hard working person I know. He will come in anytime for an emergency, even if he "probably doesn't think it's an emergency in his mind, yet doesn't say anything (I just know it, hee hee)", he allows you to feel "exactly" the way you feel about the urgency of the situation, and is empathetic, always!!!! I see the staff every year and "HAVE TO USE MY MAX INSURANCE" because of all of the issues "I HAVE" in my mouth; has nothing to do with him. New to Palm Springs and needed to find a dentist for regular dental cleanings. I was immediately impressed when I was able to schedule a dental cleaning within 2 days of my phone call. The lobby area was tastefully decorated and the office itself was clean and seem to have the latest equipment. I filled out some basic paper work and immediately upon completion was escorted to the hygienists suite. Digital x-rays were taken and the images immediately appeared on the screen right in front of me. Primo, the hygienist was very cordial and polite and made me feel at ease. He cleaned my teeth with the hand tools and was excellent at it. Primo gave me some helpful pointers and escorted me to the next exam room to wait for Dr. Jorgensen to complete initial exam. During my wait I was updated on when Dr. Jorgensen would meet with me and once it was even the doctor himself to say he would be right there. Dr. Jorgensen was very outgoing and very nice, cracking jokes and spending some time chit chatting. He inspected my mouth and gave me the all clear. All in all, a very nice dentist and feel very comfortable with him. Debbie at the front desk prepared my bill. She also was very friendly. I had a $49 coupon for the cleaning, x-rays and initial exam. She gave me a friendly reminder that the next cleaning would be $85, instead of the new patient visit which was nice to know, but she also returned the coupon to me so my partner could use it when he scheduled his 1st visit. What a great deal! I admit I was a little skeptical when I decided to use the $49 coupon because I had read some reviews from OTHER dental offices in the area and many spoke of dentists that wanted to up sell many procedures. Not so here. Very straight forward and honest and competent. That is why I decided to write a review, because I didn't find any online for this particular dentist office. Reviews are so helpful! All in all, I would highly recommend this dental office and feel relieved that I found a good one in the desert!! As I new arrival to Palm Springs from NY, I needed a local dentist. A friend referred me to Dr. Jorgenson's practice. I was in need of a cleaning, and had broken a tooth. Although my dentist in NY had started the process of replacing the tooth by extracting it and readying the bone for an implant, COVID intervened. I am very lucky to have found Dr. Jorgenson. He and his entire staff are welcoming, reassuring, and beyond competent. Kelly, one of the hygienists, did an amazing job with a two session deep cleaning, and Dr. J began the implant with speed, skill, and most importantly to me, no pain! He is reassuring and worked quickly. The front desk is great, my insurance was contacted and I was comfortable with the cost. I Moved to the desert with no new dentist. I stumbled upon Dr. Jorgensen's page on yelp and he had great reviews so I decided to try his office out. Boy am I happy I did. I walked into a nice office, plenty of parking. Greeted cheerfully by the receptionist who got me started on paperwork. I finished quickly as it was only two pages. I was then called to come back by a bright hygentist (sp.) named Courtney. She got me comfortable by providing a neck pillow and went to work. She removed stains and polished my teeth so that they were bright and shining. Thank you Courtney! Then the doctor saw me. He really took the time to get to know me and ask about my dental history. My X-rays came back perfect, so I'll see him in 6 months. Super smooth transaction and he gives first time patients a great deal. Highly Recommended! read more

When my daughter's adult teeth grew in we noticed her lateral incisors were small and further back in her mouth. It looked like she re-grew her baby teeth. We learned they are sometimes called a dwarf teeth or peg teeth. It was embarrassing for her to smile and it greatly affected her self-confidence. We consulted with a couple Orthodontists looking for a solution. Options ranged from keeping the teeth as is and straightening them, to pulling them and moving the other teeth forward to fill the gap. One Orthodontist said, "what you really need is a good cosmetic dentist". We took his advice and went to see Dr. Jorgensen. Dr. Jorgensen assured us it could be fixed and would look great when it was done. We were given two options with similar costs (half the price of braces), and decided on Dental Veneers. I was amazed watching him work as he began with a basic mold of what the tooth should look like, and then free-handed it to make each tooth look natural and normal. The results far exceeded our expectations. Megan smiles all the time now and has the confidence a young beautiful teenage girl deserves. We will always be grateful for Dr. Jorgensen making her smile even more beautiful. I wasn't sure what to expect from Dr. Jorgensen's office after responding to a "new patient special" ad in the Penny Saver. It had been a couple of years since my last exam and cleaning, so I was most concerned about bringing my hygiene and records up-to-date. I couldn't have been more surprised and delighted by the whole experience. From the first phone call, Debbie, the receptionist/office manager welcomed me warmly. Courtney was a great hygienist. And Dr. Jorgensen has all the attributes of a great dentist: good bedside manner, a respectful attitude, a sense of humor and a gentle efficiency when doing work in your mouth. Maria is a really good assistant. The whole vibe here is relaxed, serene and casual--yet totally professional--and that helps when you're a bit anxious about dental stuff as I am. The office is also willing to work with patients on financing, depending on the procedure (I just started a root canal/crown replacement process), so that helps a lot, too. I will have to say, I hate going to dentists but it is a necessary evil. I first went to see Dr. Jorgensen for a second opinion and he has been my dentist ever since. I needed extensive work on several areas due to terribly receeding gums. Most people would need this type of work on 1, 2 or even 3 teeth where I needed it on 6, 7 or 8. Dr. Jorgensen lowered his fees or even gave me flat rate prices as apposed to per tooth pricing in order to help me financially and has actually done this a few times for me. I have NEVER met a dentist who would do that. He is top notch in my book and would recommend him to anyone. The ladies at his office are great as well. read more

Recently Went to this Dentist, Referred by a Friend. Very Very Disappointed by Rude, Hostile Staff. Acted like they Were Doing Me A Favor by Performing Services, Getting My Paperwork, Sending Me A Bill and Performing Routine Correspondence that is Expected of Them. Dentist Did Not Perform Services for Me to My Satisfaction. Did Not Do Anything for that Matter. Office Staff Disorganized and Unprofessional. I was Under the Impression that Dentist Was Clinically Sound and Professional, but Was Very Disappointed. Office Staff Did Not Take Me Seriously either. As a Paying Customer, this is No Way to Treat a Fair and Reasonable, Decent Paying Customer. I Am Sorry I Even went to this Dentist in the First Place. Was a Complete and Total Waste of My Time, Did Not Take My Concerns Seriously and Now I Am Forced, Through No Fault of My Own, to Go Somewhere Else as My Needs Were Not Met by this Individual. I finally found a great dentist. He is wonderful and his hygienist Courtney is the best I have ever had. Everyone there is just great.

I went to Dr. Jorgensen after having problems with 2 crowns that needed to be replaced. Dr. Jorgensen explained how a crown needs to fit in your mouth and how even the slightest imperfection can cause major problems for you such as decay, gum disease, inflammation, and failure of the crown in a relatively short time period. Dr. Jorgensen took his time in preparing each tooth for a new crown and explained exactly how the process needed to work including his use of a highly skilled lab where the crowns would be made. At the end of the day, I'm extremely pleased with the results. The new crowns fit perfectly with no discomfort, they look awesome, and I'm hoping they're going to last for a long, long time. If you're looking for a new dentist, definitely check him out. Staff is great, super friendly, there's a competent hygienist on staff, and most importantly, this is a dentist who cares about his patients and really, really knows what he's doing. read more
