Our AC went out during a heat wave and we had multiple people come take a look. The first company told us we needed a new motor and wiring. They quoted us about $1500. Told us we would ultimately need an entirely new AC system since ours was so old. During the visit, he noticed that somehow our wires were chewed up in the system. We asked if it was not running simply because the wires needed to be fixed, but they said no. Then we called Jay. He came out on a Saturday afternoon when it was almost 100 outside. I have used Jay's AC twice now, both times in a pinch during the heat of summer when our AC stopped working and needed more Freon. He is amazing, responds immediately and will make every effort to fit you in that same day or the next. He is honest, knowledgeable, friendly and fair. My regular A/C service company wanted to throw out my existing TRANE system and put in a whole new system. What a great experience. I had left Jay a message at around 9 PM last night but had to leave him another message at 11:15 PM he actually answered the phone after his very long workday. He said he was totally booked but he would try to fit me in. He made it to our house later in the afternoon today and fixed the air conditioner in about 10 minutes after doing the diagnosis. To preface this, my AC unit is admittedly old. After a month from the first service, my AC stopped cooling and I called Jay's AC to diagnose it and Jay arrived on another Sunday to see what was the matter. He thought it would likely be a leak and came back the next day to pressurize the system to locate it. He fixed the leak by Tuesday, but then the motor started overheating. (Again, old unit.) I found him and his associate still hard at work, even after the sun went down to try to fix the issue. By Wednesday night, the unit was fixed. Jay always explained to me what he found to be wrong every step of the way and worked diligently to fix all the problems. Jay is also very willing to work with you on scheduling appointments. You can tell he's very passionate about his work and cares about his customers. He was apologetic that I had additional problems after his first visit and worked with me in keeping the costs reigned in. In this busy a/c season, Jay got out to see us within a couple of days. We went over the alternatives for our non-working system. He gave us several choices and price ranges (lower than another estimate and offering more service) and when he was unable to quickly procure the forced air unit we had decided on, he gave us another few choices and locked down an installation time. Would highly recommend Jay for your AC needs. After I had been quoted $4500+ to replace a condenser or $9000+ to replace our AC unit, I was at a loss to what to do.
