"Ideal" was assigned by first American Home Warranty to repair our Air Conditioning. Within 20-25 minutes of their arrival the AC came on, blowing cool. I asked, "Are you done?" and was told they still have more to do. Half an hour later they packed up and left without telling me what was going on. I got the report back from AHW that there were parts missing and damaged wiring on my AC system and that it was excluded from my American Home Warranty contract. Now I have no AC, and no coverage to have a reliable contractor come out. I doubt if the heater will work when winter arrives, thanks to these guys. read more

They were sent out by first American home warranty to asses our AC unit. The report said that the AC was basically covered by mulch and plants and that the cement base was buried and was not visible (paraphrasing). The unit had no plants touching or even close to the unit and the cement base was clearly visible. The claim was denied! Their report, in my mind, was wrong. read more

First American Home Warranty company dispatched this business to diagnose our old struggling HVAC system. He showed up and I described the issue. When I told him two pipes going into the evaporator coil, unit seemed abnormally cold, he was dismissive and said, "they're supposed to be cold." I didn't argue and let him continue. He seemed annoyed the entire time he was in our home. My wife asked him how is was going and he didn't answer, just gave her an impolite look. His findings were an obstruction in the cooling lines from not having a line drier filter, so the txv valve would need to be replaced and the lines flushed. He didn't say this would be a denial etc. First American did nothing: they claimed the file was under review. I called this business once to follow up. He told me this was all First American's call. He was polite and asked me to text him. I texted him twice and he did not respond. This is all in the middle of a heat wave. I asked what he would charge to perform the work, no response. We had a second opinion and consulted other hvac companies. We were told the txv valve failure could not be unequivocally the result to lack of a line drier filter. I was told some of these valves have a high failure rate regardless of whether a filter is installed. This "missing parts" excuse is often an out to deny claims by warranty companies. I was told when our system was installed they probably weren't using drier filters as standard practice. Keep in mind, this system was inspected before and no one mentioned that to us. This guy had a horrible attitude, talked on the phone the majority of the time he was in our house. We had a horrible customer experience and I found his behavior to be rude and unprofessional. read more

Was referred to this company through HWA for home warranty work for an A/C that was shutting off during the day, but would run fine at night. Armon basically made every excuse possible to not actually fix/replace my A/C unit. First, it was the unit was shutting off because it was dirty. So he convinced me to pay $395 to clean the unit. This of course was not covered by HWA. He told me was absolutely certain this would fix the problem. So I paid it - this didn't fix the issue. My unit continued to shut off. Next, he tried to blame my Air Filter System. Saying the filters needed to be replaced or they were too restrctive. I had to tell him literally 15+ times they were just recently replaced and are absolutely NOT the problem. I have the exact same system on my other unit and that unit is working just fine. Then, he told me it was a freon issue. So he added more freon and billed HWA. Even though I knew the unit was not low on freon. In fact the next A/C people who came by, measured the freon and told (and literally showed me) there was 'Too much freon' in the unit, which I found out is very bad for the Unit. Eventually, he told HWA the unit was fine as this is what HWA sent me: "We have received the diagnosis for the recent claim you have submitted. The assigned technician has found that the system has no mechanical failures and has advised there are no repairs needed or recommended at this time." 'No issue' with my Unit? Even though he literally watched it turn off when it was over heating. He only said this because he didn't want to be involved with replacing the unit. Basically wasted my time (over a month) during the hottest period of the year. Plus, wasted $475 of my money on useless, unnecessary things. I eventually found a reputable A/C company (through HWA) who properly diagnosed the unit and within 2 weeks had replaced the whole thing - as it needed to be. So now finally my A/C unit is working again! He gets 1 star for being 'nice'. *If you are referred to this company by a home warranty service - I suggest you call and request to get re-assigned to someone else. Like anyone else.* read more

Unbelievable. So, I text him back asking did you hang up? Then, approximately 20 minutes later he calls me back. I ask him, did you hang up? My assistant contacted your company in order to repair an HVAC system. A technician was dispatched and gave a proposal to my assistant in the amount of $2,900.00. The issue we were experiencing is not related to the estimate provided. Last night, we contacted another vendor, and they determined within ten minutes the issue. The technician from your company reversed the disconnect switch to the off position and the condenser was not working. The system was blowing only hot air. The other vendor, replaced the filter, reinstalled the disconnect switch properly and the entire system began working immediately. The Freon levels were normal. The other vendor left the property within one hour and left a bill for $95 including their diagnostic charge and a new filter. The purpose of my review is for anyone to see that your company did something else and immediately provided a $2,900 dollar estimate. This is not good business practices and cannot be considered a misdiagnosis. I will be notifying the CSLB regarding this matter. read more

Within 2 hours they called me back and told me they were at another job close to my house and asked if it would be okay to come by shortly. Never use this business. Our air has been broken for a week so our home owner's insurance sent IDEAL our work order. After lying and telling us they didn't receive a work order initially, they proceeded to refuse to come. We have two 90 year olds living in a house that is over 90 degrees. This was completely unacceptable and inhumane. Now we have to wait for the insurance to send a new work order to a new company, and have to wait for that company to be able to come and fix it.
