CUTE AND YUMMY Love…read morethis bright and homey cafe in the heart of Redondo's Riviera Village! Grateful my friend has a daughter who lives in town and suggested it; otherwise, I never would have noticed it. Even though it was a Sunday morning, we immediately found seats inside. Of course it was a cheery yellow interior with lots of floral accents, hence "Yellow Vase." After perusing the extensive menu at our table, we realized we had to order and pay at the counter, where they were doing a bustling business with tempting pastries and fresh java. They gave us a number to place on our table to let them know where to deliver our food. My old pal from high school (Yes, we've known each other for DECADES!), always leans towards lox for breakfast. It was no surprise that she ordered the Smoked Salmon Plate ($16.95). The salmon arrived on a fresh French baguette with capers, red onion, tomatoes and cream cheese. I like variety, so the 2 by 2 ($16.95) was right up my alley. The two pieces of French toast were homemade perfection. So were the two scrambled eggs, the two chicken sausages and the rosemary potatoes. What an ample, delicious brunch. We were too busy catching up to photograph our meal, though. Sorry, 'cause it was pretty! Just wish the water cups were larger as we had to make several trips to the H20 station for refills. Follow the yellow brick road - I mean Catalina Avenue - and go!

Visiting from AZ and my brother recommended we try this place for lunch. It's located in a…read morebeautiful area and I loved that it has both indoor and outdoor seating options. It's a quaint-looking little place and the yellow umbrellas give off sunshine and happy vibes. It is a counter order type of place, but they do bring your food out to you when it's ready. We decided to enjoy the gorgeous outdoor weather and nestled under one of many yellow umbrellas. Food portions are big enough for sharing, but we didn't know this and we each ordered a different sandwich, which was also served with a green spinach salad and an amazing dressing. Food was all very good. It is on the pricier end for a casual lunch, but if you like sharing, one sandwich is perfect for two. We each ended up only eating half our sandwiches and were given a container to take the rest home (ONE container!). Unfortunately, in my attempt to help my mom with her walker we forgot our food, so that was the only bummer. I will definitely return again if in the area.

It is a lovely cafe with a wonderful menu, inside and outside seating, seating area in back for a large group, clean restrooms, cute yellow decor and the most beautiful setting outside under yellow umbrellas surrounded by large local succulents and plants. The food is consistenly fresh and fabulous. We have had the sunny eggs on a grilled baguette with the side salad, french onion soup, eggs & sausage, sunshine pannini, avocado toast and the smoked salmon plate. Everything is served hot. I love love their coffee as well. The Spanish latte is my favorite. Oh and the strawberry salad is one of my favorite salads. We have never been here for dinner but the offerings look amazing. The parking is always busy but we can usually find a spot. I love this shopping center. There is a new ice cream shop right accross the path we will need to try soon.

Well... First time here at this "specific" Yellow Vase"…read more Positives.... Clean, spacious, (if you include inside and out), and nice locale... Close to where the wifey wanted to shop, (aka, happy wife, happy life), but I too like the mens Bath & Body products. But I digress... We both got paninis, and in their defense, both were tasty. Me... chipotle chicken, the wife, turkey I think but I have no idea. The "fries or salad option" is offered and me, being the fat effer that I am, chose salad, as did the lovely wifey. Results. Pannini's, i.e. both of them, were very tasty. Not the knock your sock off kick my arse variety, but very tasty. Bread is delicious... That said... here is kicker #1. You are offered a 'Salad or a Fry', with your panini. Again. the both of us, attending to our respective diets, chose the salad option. Well... kick me in the arse and call me a donkey's child because I could have picked more greens outta my teeth after a snack sesh with broccoli after flossing, than this B.S... Again, I digress. What really gets me is the cost of two small, albeit tasty, panini's, that was $54... Really? Call me a cheapskate but I personally believe that $54 should at least give you a little... Well, I'll stop there... JMHO.

I had no idea they even served pasta, and it did not disappoint! My husband got the chicken crepe, my daughter had the BLT hot panini, and we also shared one of their glazed donuts... soooo good. We sat outside with our fur baby, which made the experience even better. The vibe was warm, intimate, and perfect for the holidays. They also had a huge, beautiful Christmas tree right in front of the restaurant where we took photos--such a fun and festive touch! This is one of our go-to breakfast spots, come check it out!
