I selected pierogies. It also came with coleslaw, and a little cup of tartar sauce. The dinner was very good. The Haddock had a nice coating that was seasoned with a little black pepper that gave it a tasty kick. The menu for this Sunday is your choice of a Swiss Steak dinner or a Creamed Chicken over Biscuit dinner. I met Jim, the owner, and he told me that has been in the restaurant business for 34 years. Just right for in the middle of the day. The french fries are out of this world. They taste just like my mom used to make when we were kids. That's because they were made out of fresh potatoes like my mom used. They served bread with it also and they were rolls. I believe they were homemade. They had a real nice light sweet taste to them. They also as one of the soups of the day had New England clam chowder that my husband thought was excellent. The place is decorated beautifully. There's lots of room. It's good for just two people to come and eat or if you have an event rehearsal dinner or a little family get together there's plenty of room and it appears they even have an extra outside entrance for events in the side room. The waitress was wonderful. That the menu as you can see from the pictures I posted is really diverse. A lot of different items that you won't see anywhere. For instance there was roast fried green peppers in Oil with bread. I wanted to try that, but I went towards the Parmesan instead. They got a couple different greens dishes too. There's sandwiches Rubens and hamburgers and buffalo chicken sandwiches. I had the quarter pound Bacon Barbecue Burger that came with fresh French fries that were sliced in the kitchen from whole potatoes. The bacon was thick sliced and prepared perfectly.
