I saw the great reviews here, so brought it in to see what could be done because it seemed obvious that something was just misaligned. Tech came out to inspect my car and was telling me I definitely needed new hinges! I might need a new door! This is going to run a lot of money! That they weren't going to try to investigate a misalignment because they wanted to do things "the right way!" Sure buddy. I thanked him, left and went to the body shop just down the street. Where a tech took a look at the door, determined that the A-pillar on the car door hinge had just gotten bumped out of place, bumped it back into place which fixed the problem, and within 15 seconds sent me on my way. Didn't even charge me because it was such a minor "repair" if you can even call it that. Royal might be good at what they do, I don't know. But they tried to upsell me on a repair that was thousands of dollars for something that wasn't even broken and was a component easily pushed right back into place. So definitely get a second opinion if you go here.

We waited for over a week before calling them back asking where the estimate was - it was only supposed to take few days. They indicated it wasn't ready and asked for a couple more days. We called back after another week and it still wasn't ready but was told it would be ready soon. It's now been more than two weeks later and still no estimate or no contact from them. They gave me a repair estimate of $17,335.18 on October 15, which seemed reasonable, and I assumed work was being done. For over two months, I waited with no updates. Suddenly, on December 5, they emailed demanding the loaner back immediately and threatened a police report for "failure to return a rental vehicle." I called their rep (Alfonso), who said he would extend the loaner--he never followed up. That evening, the loaner was remotely disabled (Valet Mode) while I was driving, stranding me overnight in 20°F snowy/rainy weather on a busy DC street. I had to pay for towing myself to avoid freezing. The next morning (December 6), they called police (Rockville and Prince George's County), claiming I failed to return the rental. They also told officers my Florida license was "fake" or fraudulent. Police cleared me immediately. I repeatedly explained my disabilities (immune-compromised, OCD, ADHD, anxiety) and asked for accommodations to get my medication and belongings from the loaner (less than ¼ mile away at a friend's house). They refused and left me stranded without transportation or meds ever since. Now they demand over $14,000 in storage/rental fees--almost as much as the repair estimate--yet no work was ever done on my car. I have video, emails, bills, and records. This was unsafe, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Avoid if you value safety and clear communication.

I had a golf ball-sized dent on my car's hood. After some research, I found Dings out Right and…read morehired him to remove the ding. He came to my place but added an extra $25 to the original quote for fuel costs. I agreed, as long as he did a good job. It took him about 20 minutes to remove the dent. However, the interior of the hood had some paint removed. While the ding was gone, a visible line remained at certain angles. He claimed this was due to the hood being aluminum and that he couldn't get it perfect. Another place quoted me more and said its 1-2 hours for the job, and I believe they would have done it right. If you want perfection, he's not your guy. The fix was better than the golf ball-sized dent, and the line is only visible at the right angle. I can live with it, but I'd rather pay a bit more for a perfect result.
