The lady that was in there today was beyond rude. I can't believe she even works there. First walked in she looks me up and down. Then asks me if I need anything then I say no politely and that I am just looking. Then 5 seconds later looks at me with complete discuss and ask me if I need anything. Like I'm not supposed to be looking around the store. I am not under dressed? I don't have a crazy tattoo on my face or whatever. But she was definitely snobby and looked down on people. Don't know why she's in this business? The jewelry was nice, it's a small shop. But customer service could have been 100% better. read more

My fiance bought a beautiful engagement band here for me however, went to get it appraised for insurance purposes, come to find out, half of the small diamonds were loose and most of them crooked in the prongs. Of course, I didn't notice it but so glad the appraisal company saw them and fixed them for me. Who wants to lose a diamond? The appraisal company even showed me under her microscope. If anyone actually reads these Yelp reviews and does some research on stores, possibly this will help. I have known the owners at Loghman Jewelers for over 15 years. Sean and Afsi are both amazing people. I can testify that this is a 5-star business, they are honest and treat their customers right. If you are in the Del Mar area, or North County, there is no better Jewelry store for your needs. If you have questions about Jewelry or watches, and want an honest answer, talk to Sean at Loghman Jewelers. Every single time I have been inside this store, the atmosphere was professional, courteous and I know they treat their customers with care. I think the people that go on Yelp to complain, should stop and reflect for a moment. Did you ever think it might be you...? You having a bad day ? Don't take your bad meeting at the PTA, or your horrible piece of fish for lunch out on the local store you wandered into wearing flip/flops during a difficult morning... These particular shop owners have been grinding it out for 30+ years, trying to be an entrepreneur through all the tough economic times we all have had, is not easy. Bottom line is this, If you are in the market for beautiful Jewelry, or perhaps a new watch, stop by this Jewelry store. My family and I have gone to see Sean for years now, (we buy all our jewelry from him) we are such a fan of his hospitality and the quality of each stone. He has a high bar for quality and makes sure to take care of his customers. I stoped by a few other places to look at rings in San Diego and LA and they were so sketchy. The price tags said $80k for the rings but they ended up being 1/4 of the price. What does that mean? Sean, on the other hand, is very transparent and upfront, he makes you feel comfortable and taken care of. read more

I was surprised with a beautiful promise ring 8 years ago. The ring was custom made and looked just like the ring my husband (then boyfriend) had imagined. I wear size 3 1/2 and they were able to adjust the size. My husband (then fiancé) purchased an engagement custom ring 2 years ago. I love my engagement ring! Sean explained to my husband the different cuts, clarity, and color. I'm surprised by how many people have complimented my rings. The diamonds on my ring are gorgeous that even strangers randomly noticed. After 2 rings, we had to get our wedding bands here. Sean was very helpful again with choosing the correct size for my husband and which metal. He gave us complimentary cleaning solution to bring home. I love how Sean is completely honest. He works with your budget and gives great advice on what would look best. This review is for the excellent customer service I have had. I went into Loghman to looking for something unusual and specific: a 5 stone diamond ring in a low setting. Sean suggested a great new ring that no one else had thought of. He ordered it quickly, had it delivered promptly in the right size, and not once did he try to upsell me like happened at literally EVERY other jewelry store I visited (aka Harold Stevens, Tiffany, Robbins Bros, everywhere at the mall...). The ring is really beautiful and pretty damn close to exactly what I am looking for. While the decision of exactly what to purchase and from where rests with my fiancé, I can say the excellent service here locally has made a great impression and I bet he goes with Loghman. read more

I have known Sean for about 10 years. He is a nice man, works hard and does what he says he will do. I have had small items done, sizing and polishing, with nothing but professional and expert service. The Lady is spectacular and wonderful (sorry, I don't know your name). As far as bad reviews, I avoid hanging out in this area it is mostly "wives of Del Mar" pushing there way around. I hate to see a great store like this get bad reviews. read more

I don't typically like to speak about bad experiences but this was just too bad not write about. I was in the Del Mar area and knew that I was interested in resizing my great-great-grandfather's wedding ring so I could use it as my own as I just recently got married. I've been told horror stories about getting an heirloom ring cut so I was interested in finding another option. After speaking with the owner we came to the conclusion that fitting another gold ring to the inside might be a good option so that I didn't need to cut the ring. He told me to leave the ring with him and he'd send it off for a QUOTE to get the work done. After a week of hearing nothing, I decided to call them and see what that hold-up was. The woman who I spoke with (who is really very great) told me that the ring was done and ready to be picked up. Needless to say i was a bit surprised that the work had been done without letting me know first but she said that they got it done for only $75 (I was thinking it would cost a couple hundred) so I made a plan to come and pick it up. After picking it up I was told that they had just cut it and done the resizing, but "luckily they had kept the original hallmark". This was explicitly what I had NOT wanted them to do to my GREAT-GREAT-GRANDFATHERS WEDDING RING!! Knowing that it wasn't the woman who was running the storefronts fault, and there wasn't anything they could do about it now, I sucked it up and went on my way. *note that my hand were very dirty so I didn't try in on right then and there* I get home, wash my hands and put the ring on my finger. My finger immediately began to turn blue as I started to panic and frantically pull the ring off my, now swollen, finger. They had CUT my HEIRLOOM ring too small. After swearing and essentially throwing a private freak-out, I drove back to the store to tell her that it was, in fact, cut improperly too small. She apologized profusely and told me that they would indeed fix their mistake free of charge (like i was going to be willing to pay for their mistake). Ten days later I get a call telling me my ring is ready, again. I go the next day to pick it up and sure enough, this time it fits...thank god. I get it home and have a closer look at it in the light and to my absolute astonishment it is scuffed up and scratched like they had spun it in sand paper. I AM FURIOUS!! You'd think after 1) doing work on an heirloom ring without first getting the consent of the owner, and 2) doing the exact opposite of what the owner wanted, they would AT LEAST make sure that the ring was polished and not scratched to hell. What terrible business practice. At this point I decided that they've done enough damage to my 100+ year old family ring so I've taken it to a jeweler whose done good work for me before. He was surprised at the state the ring was given back to me and as such, is going to polish and attempt to fix the mistakes for free. Needless to say but I'll say it anyways, I'm never returning to this shop and would HIGHLY recommend everyone else do the same. read more

Very Good! My fiancee and I have 4 rings from them now. My fiancee has very small fingers, so we have to custom order. Sean is vey nice and easy to work with. He seems honest and wants to make you happy. The first ring I got was 7 years ago. I drew him a picture of what I wanted and he made it for me at a great price. I'll be coming back. read more

I have been a customer of Loghman Jewelers Del Mar for over 10 years. I purchased a Breitling Aerospace watch from them in 2000 and have worn it practically every day since. The owner (Sean) is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and his low-pressure, but very informative and helpful approach is quite refreshing. I've taken it back to Loghman's to get a new battery installed twice in the 10 years I've owned the watch, which they have serviced locally and it takes about a week. Loghman's is in the Del Mar Plaza in a very convenient location. The store is not huge, and I like the personal attention I always get whenever I stop in, from either Sean or one of his employees. Since there are a number of fine restaurants located in the Del Mar Plaza, after dining I always make a point to stop in and say hello and see the large collection of Breitling watches on display (they also carry several other watch brands and diamond jewelry, but I'm mostly interested in the Breitling watches). Last year (2009) I bought a new band for my watch since the spring on the clasp of the original band was starting to get loose. Sean gave me a great deal and sized it to fit my wrist and installed it on the watch for free, right on the spot. To give you an idea of the exceptional customer service that Sean provides, I had been looking for a gold version of my Aerospace watch for some time, and since they no longer make the particular model I was searching for, I ended up buying a pre-owned one on the Internet in the summer of 2009. However, once the watch arrived, I was disappointed because the crown was very hard to spin to adjust the settings, and also I thought I was buying a watch with a blue face, but in fact it came with a brown face. I brought it in to show Sean and get his recommendation on what to do, and he explained how I could send it in to Breitling's repair facility on the East Coast, and they would send me a quote for free. If I decided not to proceed with the repairs, I only had to pay for the shipping. Although it took over a month, when I received my repaired watch, it was stunning with the blue face, and now worked perfectly. I was very pleased with the results and the repair bill was quite reasonable, especially considering that they had to install new hands, which I learned was always required whenever you change the watch face. Considering that Sean and Loghman Jewelers received absolutely no revenue from me on this transaction, and he rightly could have chastised me for buying a Breitling on the internet (which Breitling's website warns you against doing), I thought it was really terrific customer service they provided by steering me in the right direction, and I got my watch repaired to be as good as new! All in all, Loghman Jewelers offers great prices, a charming store, and exceptional customer service. I highly recommend them. read more

my wife stopped in at this store to have her ring cleaned - they charged her $20 - i have never heard of a jewelry store charging for this - seriously this place must be hard up for income - then I read some other posts where they have not paid rent and it all starts to add up read more

This place is FANTASTIC. I cant say enough about them. My wife wanted some jewelery made from some older rings and necklaces she had. Sean (the ownwer) worked with us closely to draw up the ring she wanted and then had it carved from wax ahead of time to be sure she was happy with it. After some adjustments it came together and is by far the most unique and individual ring i've seen. its literally a piece of art. Sean also helped us design a necklace, again repurposing some older jewelry and us buying some newer chains and some accent stones. The point here is that he was super flexible and willing to work with us so that everyone camoe out a winnwer. The stuff in his shop and the things he made for us are gorgeous. He also fixed a number of pieces for my wife, had my watch serviced and even bought some old unused gold from us. If you want quality work from someone that will give you personal and professional help, this is the place. We have brought friends their and continue to go back over and over. He treats his ciustomers like friends and family and if you are going somewhere else you need to go to Loghman's. read more
