Update, when we raised the kitchen ceiling pipes were moved. Unfortunately, there were two pinhole leaks that developed in the copper pipe installed above the refrigerator. Not blaming JB as this can happen, but wanted quotes to replace the cabinet and crown. The turnaround time on replacement of either was very long (30-45 days) and while we never received a quote for the cabinet (we decided to keep it), the quote for pieces of the crown molding were 25% higher than what our contractor would expect from painted special order crown molding. We opted to work with the existing pieces we had. It felt like they just wanted to get as much money as possible since we didn't have many options. read more

Erin is very good with colors and materials, and our Omega cabinets, lighting fixtures, hardware, pantry, and paint all turned out great. Erin's philosophy is to design to endure for decades, not just the current fads, so we know our kitchen shouldn't be outdated in just a few years. The icing on the cake has been support. When our kitchen sink backed up last week, they sent out plumbers over the weekend and on Monday (when their office is closed) to run a snake and hydro jet and solve the problem. So I read the other reviews about the employees being rude, but we decided to give them a try anyway. My husband and I walked in and there were zero customers. We wandered around for a few minutes and saw a male sitting in the back at his computer. It took him a minute to say hello, never bothering to look up or get out of his chair. We looked around for a few more minutes with no further acknowledgment from the employee. After realizing we were not going to be helped, we made our way to the door. As we exited, he asked if we needed any help. Too late buddy. We want to do a 100k kitchen remodel, and they just lost an opportunity to make some money. Clearly, they aren't hurting for business since this guy couldn't be bothered to help us. Can't imagine how bad they would be if we actually hired them. read more

Our kitchen project is now complete and we are very pleased with the outcome. We found the company to be honest from start to finish and we did not find any additional add on charges at the end other than what we asked specifically for through changes. We did get other estimates and J B Kitchens offered us a design that completely transformed our entire kitchen giving us more room and incorporating the dining room in an overall increase in usable space. Other companies we contacted did not have this type of vision. The project stayed on schedule and completed on time and communication was easy and frequent. When my husband and I decided to remodel our 80's kitchen, initially we made appointments with two companies--JB Kitchens & Baths and a competitor. First we spoke with Deborah Weickert at JB Kitchens & Baths, and found her to be knowledgeable and patient as she answered all of our questions. We felt so comfortable and confident, after that first meeting, that we cancelled the other appointment. We used JB Kitchens & Baths for two major remodeling projects. The first was the kitchen remodel and the second was a master bathroom remodel. Deborah Weickert was the Designer/Project Manager. Both projects were gut jobs down to the drywall and studs that included: * New cabinets, countertops, appliances, lighting--new everything; * Relocation of gas, plumbing and ventilation; * Expanding doorways and installing french doors; * Raising ceilings. Here are a few of the reasons why I think that you should consider Deborah and JB Kitchens & Baths for your next remodel: * They are experienced at what they do. Our old kitchen had a bad layout with low ceilings. They greatly improved the flow, functionality and aesthetics of our old kitchen. In addition, raising the ceilings in the master bath made it feel airy and elegant. * You can be as hands-on or as hands-off as you have time for and trust that your project will be completed as planned and as scheduled. * They cleaned up daily and did a good job of minimizing dust and dirt in the rest of the house. * They have integrity. You won't need to worry about whether or not the job will be done right. No project is perfect and ours were no exception. I rate a company on how it handles the things that go wrong. Very bad and costly experience. Paid $1200 advance that was supposed to go toward work done. The estimates for the work were so high that I cut my losses and went somewhere else. When I asked for a return of the advance, the owner made legal threats and said he would ruin my life if I gave a bad review on yelp. read more

Be careful with your questions about anything they have on the showroom floor. The woman named Deborah will become easily offended and give you short curt answers to your questions . Forget it if you have hopes that they will give you a reasonable estimate! For our tiny kitchen remodel they were 5 thousand over Home Depot's estimate! It is best if you don't show up to this store in work clothes because they will think you don't have any money and are a waste of time. read more

I recently had a stand alone shower built in my master bathroom. The shower came out nice, in fact better than what was originally there. The reason for four stars and not five, has to do with the glass subcontractor and some minor issues. The craftsmanship was up to par. read more

I have been in need of remoding my kitchen for quite some time. I have been to several places but was underwhelmed. I was finally referred to JB by a friend. I went into their showroom and met with theirsales rep. They were super helpful and knowledgeable. Gave me great ideas and showed me things I didn't know. I learned so much!! While I was not quite ready to pull the trigger and start (waiting until this summer), I will definitely be using JB Kitchens. Trying to support local business we wondered into look for our new kitchen and were treated incredibly rude. In my life I have never met such a rude sales man. He treated us as though we were low life's ! He is the old portly white guy with triangular unkept eye brows. Our budget of 65,000 for our dream renovation kitchen, down stairs flooring base boards etc. he treated us like scum. And was offended by my questions about cost. Maybe because we were in work clothes after gutting our garage. Remember the golden rule check yourself. I'm sure my friends at the country club will hear about this too...He's a frazzled pompous white guy who somehow thinks he's superior. You might gain more business being kind. I suggest Straight Arrow kitchens super helpful and normal kind customer service. Or Sun Tile the owner is Amazing!!!!Again normal helpful kind people. We hired this company to remodel our kitchen several years ago. They did a great job, so we hired them again to redo our bathrooms. Bad decision. They measured incorrectly, ordered incorrectly, did sloppy work that had to be redone. We had to threaten going to court to get them to correct several things. I would never recommend this company. read more

Do not use this business! We were interested in ideas for a bathroom remodel. The owner Dave talked to us and suggested we have someone come to our house to see the bathroom, measure and give us a plan. He said it would cost $75. We were ok with that because we figured we would be getting a plan not just an in home estimate which is usually free. After the designer came to the house we met with her at the store. She shared the plan which was nothing special just a computer drawing and an overpriced quote for the work. I told her we would shop around and thanks for the plan. She told me we could not take the drawing with us. I asked to speak to the owner, who had told us we would get a plan, and he would not come talk to me. Finally after asking several times he came over told her to make a copy and told me "I could just leave." They are rude, overpriced and not long for the remodeling business if this is the way they are going to treat possible customers. read more

We stopped in to this store shopping for ideas for our house remodel. Talking with one of the sales person, she suggested we have a design consultation. She said it was $100 and we would get a design. Since we needed not only the kitchen but both baths remodeled we asked if she could do all three. She said she would start kitchen on the first visit. She came out to the house and took measurements. While she was there, she expressed interest on giving us estimates on other parts of our remodel. I said we would look at the kitchen design and estimate first. When we met for the presentation, it was a computer drawing of our ideas of how we wanted of our kitchen. Also got an over priced estimate to do the work. When we asked about a copy of the design, she said there was design fees for a copy. We received nothing for our $100 except an estimate that was free with the other contractors we contacted. We move on with our contractor search and have found a great contractor. He doing the complete house remodel, not just the kitchen. read more
