My wife and I had been struggling to find a reliable and reasonably priced contractor for a closet expansion project for the last year. Recently, through my digging into contractor Yelp reviews, I stumbled across a negative review for a different contractor that gave high praise to Straight Arrow. Who said negative reviews can't be positive! I'm so glad I reached out to them as Basem and his team were friendly, professional, great at their craft and worked within our budget. The project was to expand our main bedroom closet, taking space away from an adjacent hallway closet, add bi-way sliding doors and replace our carpet with bamboo flooring that matched with the rest of the house. We couldn't be happier with Straight Arrow and are relieved to have found a contractor for future projects.

This wall was opened. They did amazing

I recently remodeled my kitchen with Straight Arrow and I couldn't be happier. I met with at least 5 other contractors/remodeling companies prior to choosing straight arrow. They are well organized and more importantly they work with your budget and actually listen to what you want. Not what works best for them or what will make them the most money but literally what you want. I greatly appreciated that. In addition, they completed the job in 11 business days. All other places estimated 3-4 weeks minimum. I worked with Lance. He listens and will do everything in his power to meet your needs. He respected our budged and literally worked to keep us on budget. He communicated with me throughout the entire process and checked in on the job periodically. We had minor hiccups as expected when you open a wall. But I was updated and forewarned. They have a team for every step: demo, cabinets, appliances etc. All the different teams were efficient and great at their craft. Tips: make sure your floors are done before you start the kitchen remodel Buy appliances early and have their team check them out to assure they're the right ones. I highly recommend straight arrow ! Thanks a million Lance ! We looooveee our kitchen

We had our old 1956 bathroom totally remodeled by Straight Arrow. All the old pink tiles and enameled tub removed and beautiful shower with 24" x 48" porcelain tiles installed. The gray vanity with quartz countertop is perfect. The walls were repaired, smoothed out and painted. Topped off with a quality vinal floor. The owner, Basem, monitored every phase of the job to be sure we were satisfied with the end result. Basem was always very accommodating and that was important to us. All the guys worked very hard, were always polite and cleaned up after themselves. We are so happy with our beautiful bathroom. We highly recommend doing business with Straight Arrow Flooring and Remodeling.

Basem and Nash pleasant to talk to. Contractors are a different story, their main guy they work with pretty sloppy with his work. Trash is all over the floor when he finishes partially for the day. Screw are left in the wall barely sunked in. I guess i can deal with the trash and sweep everything up. We had tear down part of the ceiling to put a solid beam since ut was a load bearing wall, ceiling was popcorn and gave a hesitation that it wasnt part if the deal to retexture the ceiling...After talking to Basem, he came back a week later and did it... The result came out very half assed with overspray gallore! LOL he told me after he sprayed dont worry when it dries in the wall to get a scraper and scrape everything from the overspray, Im like okay...wait what i need to scrape the wall that i newly painted. I figured hes done with the job and not coming back for the details like overspray... I let it go figuring i just want to be done already...Told Basem regarding the ceiling as there is a very noticable difference with two lines accross the ceiling . He did try to cover for him, but again i let it go. I have seen much better patch work with popcorn ceilings due to plumbing and this is far the worst patchwork. Couple days later i was throwing some trash bags outside and one of the bags ripped. Guess what was inside, about a gallon or two if the paint solution to texture the ceiling and walls splattered on the patio floor. Ohhh did i mention my wife saw the guys wife take my phone charger lol... This was like on the fist or second day of contruction. Had to bring it up and was like ohhh yayaya and got it. Alot of things happened in a two week span. Another incident iw when our close friend was with us and she was in the babyroom babysitting. She speaks fluent spanish and mentioned to my wife that they were badmouthing since they sent me for an errand at home depot and they really didnt have the part and had to go to another store. Told me this was just a small job and they had a bigger job in beverly hills, joked with them i guess they have money there! I know im missing many more points but im tired of texting... Nevertheless, other groups such as the flooring and cabinet guys were clean with their workspace and nice to talk too along with the countertop people. Total Spent on kitchen remodel $10300 includes 8'x10' with bar hight counter and installation of load bearing beam The sink/faucet/stove/range hood/ fridge/ cabinet knobs all purchased separately as it was not part of the $10300 Flooring was and additional $4500 for about 900 square feet

He identified the issue quickly and highlighted the lazy workmanship from our kitchen installers (Taranto Construction, Inc in Claremont, CA) who were subcontracted through Lowe's (who we purchased our kitchen from). The shelves collapsed because of loose screws from lazy installers at Taranto Construction, Inc. It's infuriating to have to pay someone to come solve an issue that goes back to completely loose screws in the hardware that would've taken an extra 5 seconds to properly tighten at the initial install. But they know people won't see it, so they cut corners. DO NOT EVER USE TARANTO CONSTRUCTION INC in Claremont CA for a kitchen install, or any Lowe's in the surrounding area, as this is who they refer the work to. After spending a short amount of time with Walter, it's clear he knows what he is doing and is a professional. He even tightened and adjusted other cabinet doors in our kitchen he noticed issues with that had nothing to do with the cabinet shelves he came to fix. He was a very nice guy and I was glad I called him. Thank you very much.

Walter worked with us to pick the right product and colors. We went with Shinnoki real wood veneer panels. They are beautiful and durable. Once they got the veneer up, they routed then hand-filed all of the openings. Then that meticulously painted the face frames to match the veneer. They even painted around the drawers where you can see very little of the painting they did. That shows a lot of pride! Walter also gave us the look of frameless cabinets even though we would have had to replace the cabinet boxes in order to make them frameless. That's a lot of extra work. We got a custom job for less than the price of a non-custom job. In the photos you can see the detail I'm talking about. I've included before and after pictures. The before pictures are all dark, ugly drawers and doors. The after pictures are the modern, two-tone look. In one photo in which I have a drawer pulled out with hot pads in it, Walter designed that and made it fit. There was not a drawer in there before because it's under the stove and the gas line was in the way. But Walter moved it. Walter's very conscientious and not afraid to tell you if he thinks something is not going to look good. He'll do whatever you want, but we learned that he knows what he's talking about. As a true Libra, I struggled with deciding whether to simply replace the countertops or completely remodel the kitchen with new cabinets. I initially chose to replace just the countertops, but at the eleventh hour - literally the morning of demolition and installation - I changed my mind and decided to remodel the entire kitchen instead. Juan was incredibly accommodating, worked with my last-minute change, and somehow made it happen. We ended up with a completely new kitchen (pantry + quartz countertops / backsplash) within just two weeks. A huge thank-you to Juan (and my husband, lol) for their patience throughout my indecisiveness. Juan, along with installers Alex, Johnny, and Lee, worked efficiently and professionally to get everything done. The team was responsive and hardworking and I'm thrilled with how the new kitchen turned out and have no regrets.
