Very small but cute space, gave very nice speakeasy/lounge vibes. The drinks were well made and they came to our area very quickly. Would recommend going on a week night since the weekend tends to get very busy and the space is small, check them out!

After getting rude service nearby, we stumbled upon this jem. Cute cozy spot with a speakeasy type of feel. We found a nice spot near the bar to accommodate our party of 5 on a Friday night. It was steady for a small spot and only two bartenders, but we were acknowledged in an appropriate amount of time. The Aviation was good, definitely a gin lovers drink and the Bee's Knees was a perfect mixture of sweet and sour. We then tried all three of the Dessert cocktails. All were made perfectly, but the Nutty Monkey really took the show. Literally tastes like a Banana Split... dangerous. The only downfall for me was the service was a little slower than I'd expect. I understand it was a Friday night but one of the bartenders kept referring to what seemed like the drink recipe guide, which of course slowed them down a bit more.

Hard to find, worth the search! Tucked in on Donnelly Walk, JB Perceval's is the cocktail spot to find. Great cocktails, in a great venue with a great staff. Perfect combination. Humphrey Bogart greets you as you enter this throwback to comfort and great drinks. Small bites are available and they are very good too. What a contrast to the more casual, college crowd bars and restaurants nearby. J.B.'s is an adult oasis of flavor infused drinks served in great glassware by attentive folks in a great spot. Cheers!

Ran into two different friends here, both local and both said, "It's a great bar! We come here all the time." And can totally see why: great drinks and yummy small bite plates. Friendly staff. Cool vibe kind of place. We called in advance to see about a reservation bc one person in our group is on crutches. They were very happy to help us. Nice! Our group tried both seasonal specials (Mr Fig, pear drink (forget name), house specialties (old fashioned, something with curaçao, smoke house) and a request for a hot toddy which they gladly provided. All were outstanding. We all loved the glassware. We tried the charcuterie and anti pasta boards, hummus, and pretzels. Boards and hummus were excellent. The pretzels were hard pretzels with cayenne pepper - considering how excellent everything else was, these didn't hold up in comparison. We had a fun night!

Why am I just finding out about this place?? Hidden in the little alley between Archie Moore's and Playa bowl, this tiny cocktail bar is a very welcome discover. The ambiance is darker, speakeasy like. It's not very big; I would estimate no more than 20 people could fit in there comfortably, which is perfect for this setting. Bartenders were very skilled and took care in crafting the cocktails. My amaretto sour was fantastic, and my wife liked the gin fizz a lot. Will definitely be back!

Nice succulent bar in the heart of Fairfield. It sort of smelled like a nice perfume or cologne when we walked - not strong, but pleasant. It is lounge-style seating with bar seating as well. Their bar service was efficient too! I enjoy The Billionaire cocktail just days after Christmas 2022. Had a nice quite and relaxed time enjoy a drink with my best friend. I very much recommend stopping by for a quick drink when you have time.

Great seasonal drink selection, and a broad range of alcohol options for the cocktail aficionado in an intimate setting. Highly recommend for a fancy nightcap in Fairfield. The only reason for the 4 star rating was the service. The 2 young women bartenders were more interested in their cellphones than making drinks. I would have had at least 2 more drinks had the service been better. As a former bartender, you should be aware of the empty glasses at the bar especially when it's so small.

Great little hole in the wall cocktail bar! They have a selection of seasonal drinks, but it's a fully stocked bar so you can order pretty much anything. We got a few little bites to eat - meat and cheese platter and the hummus - both were delicious. I initially got the Spicy Passionfruit Mule, which is actually pretty spicy. I tried to order the drink without the spicy vodka in it, but they ended up just giving me a regular Mule, which was good, I was just hoping for the Passionfruit liqueur. They had live music and not super crowded, so overall had a really good experience and I can't wait to come back!

Such a cute little spot in downtown Fairfield by the theatre. I just snagged a drink one afternoon…read morewhile walking around but I absolutely loved the feel of the space. I wasn't hungry but the menu looked delicious and my drink was excellent. The bartender was very attentive and although it wasn't busy then, I heard them answer calls for reservations constantly while I was there. Def coming back hungry next time! .

"Like whippets, they dance in a curly-queue dance Of pulses…read moreand ringing and campfire chants Birds of a feather are flocking outside" (Phish) There are so many nice restaurants in Fairfield, picking one for lunch can be a formidable task. But because it was so cold today, we picked one close to the train station for our lunch for three, and it turned out to be a great choice after our meal at Ryebird. Their website describes Ryebird as "A Neighborhood joint where friends and family meet" and that seems pretty much spot-on. The bar is gorgeous, the dining room is beautifully decorated with red painted walls, dark distressed wood tables, and stainless-steel colored chairs. The service was great, I mean outstanding. Our server Leo was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. We had a few conversations with Manager Thomas who was very charming and a real joy to talk with. And I haven't even gotten to the food yet! OK, here we go! Our party of three went with a small Chicken Soup for The Soul with Cheesy Bread ($14) for me. What's Cheesy Bread? Well, how about three toasted pieces of gooey pizza bread topped with a feta spread and olive oil. My brother-in-law went with their Daily Pot Pie ($23 for Chicken today), with a house-made buttery crust, scratch-made filling, and an added $4 up-charge for a gravy boat full of mushroom bourbon gravy. My wife went with a Roaster sandwich ($18) of pulled chicken, cheddar, BBQ sauce, pickled onion, on a baguette served with fries. We also had an order of Lemon Chili Zucchini ($9) for the table. The food was wonderful, as both the pot pie and the sandwich were devoured. My soup was a pretty big bowl for a "Small" but was loaded with more carrots and celery than chicken. I asked our server Leo if they had any hot sauce, and he asked me how hot did I want it? Ryebird has a few different types in increasing levels of hotness. I asked for the max, and he brought out a little ramekin of some of the hottest hot sauce I ever had. It was pretty much at my upper level of tolerance. I chatted about it with the restaurant manager on the way out, and he was pretty sure it was made with Ghost Peppers, so that explained my thermonuclear mouth numbing reaction. Anyway, we loved our visit to Ryebird. Their food is reasonably priced, portions are generous, the quality is high, and the service is exceptional. What more do you want in a Fairfield County lunch?

In town for a few days and a "tacos" yelp search led me to Bodega Taco Bar. Very glad to have…read moredropped by. Great experience. Highly recommend each of these: Bodegarita - Cazadores, luxardo triplum, lime juice, agave...this is their classic marg. Nice balance, well mixed. Bodega Original Guacamole...fantastic. Basic in a good way. Very avocado forward. Not over-salted. The chips were fresh and not salty..again in a really good way. I did ask for a few lime wedges to add a little juice, but the guac was excellent. Pork Carnitas - Crispy potatoes, onion, serrano-avocado crema, cilantro...very good. Americano - Seasoned ground beef, manchego cheese, salsa de russa, crispy taco...kinda unique. A little like a big mac meets a taco. Unexpected but very glad I tired. Gambas - Seared ancho chili shrimp, cucumber-mango salsa, chipotle mayo...my favorite one. 5-start taco. Chicken Tinga - Tomato braised chicken, cotija cheese, mexican crema...excellent as well. Service was very good. Attentive, prompt and gave good/accurate recommendations. Didn't laugh at all my jokes. That's ok- few do. Set back from the Post Road, I must have driven passed here a million times. Unassuming storefront. Cozy spot. 5 table tops and 5-ish tables. A nice bar w/ excellent tequila options. The decor matches the food and experience if that makes sense. No brainer 5 stars from me. I'll be back and I'll certainly recommend.

Road trip to Boston…read more.. Needless to say it was a Friday afternoon and traffic was a pain from the start. A quick little yelp search and we had an instant detour for some sustenances, while we let the other motorist continue on their way. Bodega, located in a small little shopping strip, is also small and quaint. Not much wiggle room so be prepared to be neighborly. We arrived half past 4, just in time for HH @ the bar. So we grabbed some seats at the end of the bar where Alex the bartender took care of us. We started with Passionritas (passion fruit margs) and guacamole. Both were equally delish and the guac is bowl licking worthy. However, I do not recommend since you are dinning in public. Lol. In addition we ordered the bodega blistered brussels sprouts and baja tacos to share. The sprouts were an absolute stand out. I opted for the Mexico City Ceasar Salad with Salmon. Presented slightly deconstructed, which didn't take anything away from the great taste. We had an absolute great experience from Alex our bartender whom was very impressionable to Diego (possible manager) whom also made a nice impression. We tried a few more margs before our departure. With the hibiscus being one of my faves. A wonderful spontaneous detour, that will now be a welcomed stop on future road strips north. Just A Note: - HH @ the Bar only (Tues-Fri 4-6pm) - You can take Bodegaritas to-go they have them bottled for sale.

The menu is some what tied into the Puglia region, which is the heel of the boot. I could tell the italian dialect from the owner when he was speaking to one of the staff, it immediately gave me a good feeling that this restaurant would be really good. The appetizers we had were all really good, we had the fried calamari, the grilled Octopusss, the fried zucchini flowers and thd hummus special. Sorry no pics of these. We had a couple of the Orrechiette Barese, Chicken parmigiana, a pasta special of fettuccine with shrimp in a cream and pesto sauce, another pasta with cavatelli, shrimp and cream and pesto sauce, really couldn't see the pesto, probably could have used a little more or maybe a little finishing with the pesto on top. Service was good and the owner came around to introduce himself and we got a complimentary round of their homemade creama di limencello to finish off the experience. Wr wouldn't hesitate to go again the next time we are in town to see a show.
