This JB's Cheesesteak location is a pop-up food truck, and this was my second time visiting. While the food itself is good, the experience overall has been mixed but what remains consistent is long wait times for food. The wait times are extremely long, and the process feels very unorganized. Customer service could definitely improve. Often, I'll be standing in line and be told to wait when it's my turn, only for the person taking orders to go prepare several meals before coming back to take my order followed by more waiting. It comes off as a bit unorganized. Staffing seems to be part of the issue. There is usually one person taking orders and one person cooking, but the person taking orders frequently switches back and forth between cooking and order-taking, which slows everything down. Additional staff would make a big difference or better organization because there other two locations have the same number of staff and better service with faster meal prep. Another difference compared to other JB's locations is that this one does not include the free piece of Double Bubble gum in the bag, which other locations usually provide. The fries are often a bit too crispy and could use more seasoning as the other locations have on their fries. That said, the cheesesteak itself tastes amazing. I always order the steak with peppers and no mushrooms, and it never disappoints. The bread is soft and fluffy. You can choose between a half or a whole, and they also offer chicken, steak, and sausage options. Prices are reasonable and comparable to the market, and the portions are filling. With better organization, improved customer service, and more staff, this location could be much better because the food quality is definitely there. read more

This was our first time trying H JB's Cheesesteak and it was BOMB and probably the best cheesesteak I've had! The service was great, he was friendly and quick w our food and tied it up very secured and nicely! The ambiance was fine, it's right off a pretty busy road and no place to sit but I wouldn't take that into how this place still deserves 5 stars! read more

Very tasty, large and full of meat cheese steak at very convenient location. The cheesesteak comes with fries and drink so you better be hungry. To order cheesesteak only was $1 less??? Very friendly and clean food truck. I realize they must get extremely busy so meat was previously cooked then regrilled which I would have preferred cooked fresh but still very tasty. Sort of a treat for me coming from the Northeast with cheesesteaks available everywhere. Overall a good value if you always want fries. Wish they had an option for small size or cheesesteak only as if I didn't have someone to share it with I wouldn't get all that food. read more

I heard this was a hot spot for a Philly! So I wanted to try the cheese steak Philly. Pretty good deal Philly,fries & a soda/Coke I got a half sub to try and pretty good, I loved the fries crinkled one nice flavor different but good. I will go back and try the chicken steak next time. I've been to the location off of SR84 a couple times. Gotta say, it's a solid price and solid meal. Food always tastes great and they are super fast. I stick to the traditional cheesesteak. You can also order online so it will be ready by the time you drive in to pick it up (which is about 10 min max). Not really much parking space so plan it out to take it back home if you can. read more

Pretty decent food truck with decent cheesesteaks. Pretty average for florida which is passable for a Floridian but overall below average compared to the northeast who makes legit cheesesteaks. Most cheesesteaks all start with the bread as it can turn a sub-par hoagie into a 5 star even if it's a flop inside, or on the other hand ruin an otherwise great one. Here it wasnt anything to brag about but it was pretty good. As-expected I'd say. The meat was precooked which I wasnt a fan of on paper. It's good for the rushed worker on their lunch break, and possibly an easy way of doing things for a food truck not dealing with raw meat, but it only takes 5 minutes for a fresh cook is that too much time? Either way taste wise I probably wouldn't have been able to tell but having consumed 10s of thousands of these and watching at least half made on the spot, precooked meat to heat up was a first. The rest I loved. Their simple menu was refreshing. I didnt have to spend too long choosing as they kept it simple, which I respect. Their prices weren't cheap and definitely encouraged a whole sub instead of half. Inwas pleasantly surprised prices included a drink. Unpon arrival at home and ready to consume, I also found it adorable they included a piece of double bubble. Approved! Plenty of SS red (ketchup packets) included and an overall massive amount of food was supplied. May or may not be back. A friend introduced me to JBs and I wasn't disappointed. Never did I imagine I would be eating peppers and onions on my philly, but here I am doing so. The bread is always fresh and soft, the flavoring is great and the melted cheese just makes it even better. You know it's a great place for a philly when your friend gets upset when you go without her. Overall I love it, even the fries are good. Don't hesitate to try it out. Whatever you expect in a food truck and in a cheese steak sandwich I can safely say JB's truck, cleanliness and sandwich will safely land in your upper percentile. They only serve cheesesteaks and fries and they do them both really well. $13 buys a large sandwich with fries and a drink, for $8 you get the same with a half sandwich. Open from 9am to 10pm there is no seating, it's in the parking lot on the side of the Texaco. That's about the only thing I would like to see, a couple of tables in the shade.... read more

I went to buy a Cheese Steak at the JB'S cheese steak food truck in Volusia County, Deltona Family Dollar parking lot. I saw the cook NOT wearing gloves picking up the cheese then separating it with his fingers putting it on the steak on the grill. He also was holding the bread with his bare hands while scooping up the meat into the sub roll, when you serve the public or when working with food. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES.... Especially with the Covid situation going on.. They lost my service and I will tell other about it too. read more

For $8 (small, which is still plenty for the average appetite) or $13 (large, you could split between 2 lighter eaters & be full) you get a cheesesteak with crinkle fries & your choice of canned soda from the cooler (Coca cola products). The cheesesteak is not groundbreaking but it does the job. I like the mixed chicken & beef with all the onions & peppers. Everything is chopped super small, personally I like when the peppers add some texture. The bread is soft & fresh. You get a lot of French fries but they're nothing special & get soggy quick if you take it to go. Overall a tasty, convenient spot for a quick meal & you can order via uber eats as well. I'm not from philly so I don't know how a real "Philly cheesesteak" is suppose to taste. All I can tell you is these are my favorite. I can't stop buying the chicken philly with onions. If you know me, then you know I have a special spot in my heart for Philly Cheesesteak. I've tried a number of places locally and for me, JB's has one of the best cheesesteaks around. I've been coming to their food truck for over a year now, and the food is simple and consistently delicious. Now I know that there is a huge debate over the components of a classic Philly and the way some people like their steak, cheese, etc. JB's uses some kind of soft bread that reminds me of Cuban bread. Whatever it is, it never gets too soggy and it adds the perfect taste. I'm a huge fan of cheese so when I ask for extra, they always come through. I recommend calling ahead so your order is ready when you arrive, but sometimes I've noticed they do wait to make your order when you arrive. I'm not sure if they do that since it's pretty quick to make or if they are just super busy, but I do appreciate them making my order when I arrive since I have a little bit of a drive to get back home. My food is nice and hot even after a 20 minute drive. The steak is always so divine and that cheese is mixed in perfectly. It's my ideal cheat day meal! So JB's offers steak and chicken cheesesteaks in whole or half sizes, fries (crinkle and cooked wonderfully!), and your basic water/soda choices. Not too long ago they also added a steak and chicken cheesesteak to their menu in case you cannot choose and want the best of both worlds. The price point is fair for a combo and the portion sizes are just right. I am always stuffed after a whole cheesesteak. I feel like the amount of fries I get can be a little small at times, but I have asked in the past for extra fries and they are kind and usually add a few extra in without an extra charge. There are two location spots that I know of at this time and so far this is the one I frequent the most. I just had them for lunch yesterday and I'm still barely hungry the next day! Another nice touch is that they usually include Dubble Bubble gum with your order. The sour cherry is a favorite of mine. So if you happen to be in the area, I definitely recommend stopping at JB's food truck and trying out their simple, but amazing cheesesteaks! read more

Still a little freezer burned flavor in the sandwich. I'm willing to give them another shot with something a little more traditional of a sub shop!
