I got this on our trip to Florida and I'm sad we don't have a JB's in Illinois. I had the whole steak Philly ($17) that comes with fries and a drink. They advertise if you don't like the food, they will refund you, but I will be shocked if anyone did not like this delicious sandwich. I instantly regretted that I told my husband I would split it with him. The bread was so soft. The meat is mixed in with mushrooms and peppers. It is also oozing with cheese. The cheese is not spray cheese, but instead a mixture of cheeses. The sandwich was absolutely perfect and I wouldn't change anything about it. They recently dropped the option for full vs half sandwich. $10 for a half seems a bit steep even though I know making a profit these days is super difficult. FWIW, I don't get the combo meal. The best Philly cheesesteaks you'll find in south Florida and that's a fact! I just started working in Downtown Fort Lauderdale again and was so happy to see the JB's truck was in a lot off SE 3rd near the office where I work. The price has gone up but it's worth it. The sandwiches are made to order and you can do a whole or half chicken or steak Philly. The cheese blend they use makes it so creamy but I love to add Mayo and put some fries in it. Don't knock it til you try it lol. They season the fries as well so it's definitely a party of flavor in your mouth! I wasn't sure I would like any cheese on my chicken cheese steak that wasn't whiz (went to school in Philly), but this sandwich was really good. So this food truck has two menu items cheesteak and chicken cheesteak....cant go wrong there. No hard decisions to make. Make it a combo and you have fries and a drink....easy peezy. The sandwhich was just ok. Plenty of meat which is great but i was dissapointed in the amount of cheese and the fact it wasny melted and mixed into the meat but instead a small amount just placed on the bread. What got me the most was no topping options. I wanted bacon and hot peppers but was told they didnt have those. Just onion,peppers,and mushrooms. My coworkers and I have ordered from them several times. THEY ARE DELICIOUS. The sandwiches have this sort of sauce with mushrooms. If you don't like mushrooms don't worry cause neither do I, but trust me when I tell you you do not taste them. The steak sandwich wouldn't be good without them. The fries are also as good.
