The food was a overall 3.5 to 4.5 depending on what you got. The burgers and wings were really good. The friend pickles and onion rings were also good. the potato skins and mac n cheese weren't very good and the rib eye was good but not 18 dollar good. My friends and I have ventured to JB's Pour House on several occasions including girl's night out and recently a friend's birthday. We have never been disappointed. My friends and I especially love the patio seating and the drink specials. The Pour House offers a menu of burgers, nachos, chicken tenders - the typical bar food you'd expect. What you wouldn't expect is how amazing their wings are! I would highly recommend trying their wings in the wasabi sauce. Yum. It's the perfect amount of sweet and heat. The drinks are always mixed well and we take advantage of the $6 bucket-o-beers. We always have a good experience at the Pour House and what made it especially great most recently was the service. I had a Yelp check-in voucher for a free basket of fried pickle chips with any entree purchase. Though we purchased several appetizers and not an entree, the management staff still honored the offer. The manager said he, "wanted us to have a good time." We reassured him that we didn't need free food in order to have a good time there, but his hospitality was appreciated and that we'd definitely be back because of his kind service. read more

I love this place. Open til 2am in Hermitage?! Amazing. The beer selection is fantastic. I've never had a waiter here that didn't seem like they LOVED their job, which is awesome. The food is always good, whether you're ordering bar appetizers or "real food". I've asked for special modifications to certain foods and have never gotten a "no" or any attitude. They're always willing to please their customers and make sure that you leave happy. We are so lucky to have this gem in Hermitage! read more

I visit this spot regularly ("regularly" may be an understatement, but you'll see from this review - why that is). I love the wait staff - they definitely hustle to make the experience great. Every single one of the servers will take time to chat with you and make you feel welcome - if you have the time to do so (they are also spectacular at realizing when you don't have the time to chat with them). (FYI - I've never been turned down to use a coupon either.) The bar staff, although servicing all bar customers AND restaurant customers at the same time will always make sure you have your beverage of choice quickly AND will take a moment to see if you are needing a menu. The kitchen staff and the kitchen manager are fantastic at cooking food to your specific order. The kitchen manager is always wanting to try new things both permanent on the menu AND for specials. The owner and general manager take time to chat with customers and listen to some suggestions for ways to improve on what is already an awesome place. Like others who live in the neighborhood, I really want JB's to work and improvements are being made, but the progress is glacial. Service and staff organization is chaotic: I arrived yesterday around 4:30 and even though happy hour was going on, the only server in the place was the bartender. You can guess what kind of service a non-drinker was getting at a table in the dining room. Everything I've tried from the menu has been fairly tasty...but salt seems to be the main ingredient. Don't know if they are trying to keep the customers thirsty or not, but it really brings down the quality. read more

Ok, JB. We have tried to be forgiving and extend you some grace by patronizing your establishment again. But we are officially crossing your name off our restaurant list. There is smoking in the restaurant, which is against the law in TN unless the establishment is 21+ all the time. You are not. The TVs are so loud that we can't even talk to each other across the table. Who the hell needs to have the volume up on a football game anyway? We asked for it to be turned down and were told "sure", but alas, I'm gonna need hearing aids a few years sooner as the result of sitting in your place for an hour. We're done. Is this place perfect? ...No, but it is in Hermitage, and they do have beer choices other than Budweiser and Miller. This in itself is a huge leap forward for The Herm. I have been meeting a group of friends there every Friday since the week The Pour House opened, and I agree with everything the other Yelpers have posted. It is obvious with the transition from where they were in week one to where they are now, that the ownership has taken the criticism to heart as well. Most, if not all, of the issues presented here have been addressed. On busy nights, there is a greeter at the door. Other times, there is now a "Please be seated" sign at the entrance. The wife-beaters are gone and have been replaced with Pour House t-shirts. The wait-staff is awesome! (Especially Renee on Friday nights) My glass has never been empty for more than a couple of seconds, and the entire staff is well trained, personable, and extremely helpful. I can't say much about the food because my primary intention when I go there is to have a few beers with friends (it is presented as a tap room after all). That said, the homemade tortilla chips and queso are really tasty. What would change my rating to 5 stars? ...Selection. I suppose I have been spoiled by 12 South Tap Room and Flying Saucer, but I do wish the selection were a little deeper and more diverse. They currently do not have any high gravity beers in their bottled or draft selection. They could also use a few other choices in the IPA department, and they could do away with some of the stinkers on their list (Like the Farmhouse Snapperhead *Yuck*). I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to JB's Pourhouse this past Saturday...went in to watch some college football on the well-placed, large TV's, but got so much more...The service was OUTSTANDING! Meagan, at the bar, was very friendly and attentive...I wanted to enjoy a little lunch, and the Pourhouse steak was recommended...I must say, I didn't really expect much from a steak served at a sports bar, but I was pleasantly surprised...The steak was moist and flavorful, cooked EXACTLY the way I had ordered it, and it was accompanied by some mac and cheese that had been 'jazzed up' abit with some jalapeno bits and diced onion chunks -- that was very good tasting! All in all, a very pleasant experience, and a GREAT place to watch a sporting event...I'll definitely be back!! Thanks to all of the great staff who made me feel very welcome there! read more

This is probably the best bar I have been to in Hermitage. Lots of good beers on tap that frequently rotate. Plenty of TVs to watch all the games and great food as well. It didn't look great and she didn't finish anything but the chicken. And it just happened that day we had a waitress that wasn't great.
