If you're in the Price area to visit Nine Mile Canyon, which I recommend BTW, don't have breakfast here. Try the Holiday Inn restaurant down the road. Or McDonald's. Not here. Really. It's not good. Stop at the gas station and have one of those hot dogs that has been rolling around on that warming thing all night. With relish. And mustard. For breakfast. Better than JB's. Seriously. Came for the salad bar, limited options in Price, UT. I was very happy with the options on the salad bar. Normally I would expect more options, but considering the seasonality of this location, options were good. Server was great, regularly checked on me, she had a great upbeat attitude. Got a to go order of two country fried steak meals and one chicken dinner with Teryaki sauce. The brown water from the chicken Meal leaked all over the bag, and into some of the country fried steaks. Why does a chicken meal even come with brown water? The chicken was undercooked with no sauce and the veggies were mixed together (2 seperate sides) and flooded in brown water. I couldn't even get the other dishes out of the bag without the water going everywhere. There was so much water I had to Lysol my kitchen because it made such a mess. I don't even know how to clean the brown water from my car. To top it off, I called at 4:20 asking to pick up at 5:15pm. The host made me nervous so I showed up at 4:55pm and my food was already sitting out, not under the warmer. He said it was out for 6-7 minutes at this point. We had to microwave the food we could eat. I will never eat at, or order from JB's again. Terrible service. And no... I didn't call to complain, as I didn't want to end up with another bag of brown water to clean up. read more

JB's is a classic diner setting. Very small town feel of like a Denny's. The waitress was friendly. The food was as expected. The place seemed clean. A decent spot to stop off of the highway and grab some breakfast or lunch. read more

Super bright and nice building and the service is always great here but I don't know why but sometimes when I eat here it makes my stomach upset. I thought it was just me but my buddy Eric didn't feel that good either so you guys might want to check your breakfast sausage because that was the only thing that both of us ate. JBs is a step up from your road side cafes, large menu, fair prices and good size portions. I got the chicken and ribs-the chicken had no taste but the boneless ribs were extremely tender. Everything seems to be out of a bottle, can, frozen, but for what they do, it's enjoyable. It seems that this is a locals hang out. The family we were seated next to, knew almost everyone coming and going. Our waitress was GREAT! If only all servers could be as good as her, I think her name is Stefani. read more

Driving from Salt Lake to Moab, long lonely road, and got hit by the hungries. I pulled off in Price fully expecting to get a three day case of indigestion, but what a great lunch. My wife got the BLT with cole slaw. She's an expert on both those items and didn't leave a crumb. I had the country fried steak and eggs, over medium. I've had over medium come to me with runny whites (needed another 30 seconds to be over easy) and I've had hard dry yolks. Today's eggs were perfect. I've had a lot of country fried steak these past 67 years and today I had the most tender ever. Service was quick and friendly. Wanted to go out to breakfast at JB's; I was thinking the breakfast buffet would be something I would want, but after seeing that the scrambled egg tray was practically empty and the pancakes didn't look fresh, and the sliced country potatoes looked old (brownish), I opted out of that and ordered from the menu. I especially like nice omelets with veggies so I chose the garden vegetable omelet. I was very disappointed. For broccoli, all I got was the very tops in crumbly overcooked fashion-no crunch of any stem parts, the mushrooms looked like they came from a can, tiny overcooked pieces of bell peppers-no crunch, jack cheese, and overcooked eggs. It was a flat omelet with no body of veggies, topped with fresh diced tomato pieces. Along side that was a large pile of sliced brown potatoes, looked like the potatoes from the buffet bar that turned me off. I like fresh golden fried potatoes, not brown looking. Next the gentleman at the desk was so friendly, you'd think I was a regular. My order was filled quickly and all with a smile. My husband had chicken fried steak dinner $9.99. Great deal. Mine was the pork chop dinner $12.99. I thought a little high. Both were hot and pretty tasty. They also came with a salad which was fresh and crispy. Couldn't leave there without ordering a slice of pie. And again tasty. Being in Price, Utah on business, it was nice to have a place like this almost next door. I'd definitely return. Stopped here for breakfast on my way from Green River to points west. They were serving the "weekend brunch buffet." My wife had poached eggs, country potatoes and toast. I had the buffet. Three egg choices, four meat choices, four bread choices, lots of fruit, sweet rolls, etc. A good solid American breakfast. Nothing distinguished, but good for the price. read more

Passing through with my husband one day and we decided to have dinner at JB's. I ordered the Turkey & Gravy dinner and he ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich. Server was nice, no complaints there. The mashed potatoes with the turkey were instant mashed potatoes - pretty gross. The stuffing was also a shade of green I'm not accustomed to. Husband's sandwich came with strawberry pancake sauce instead of raspberry jam like a Monte Cristo should. Salad bar items were very old, cheese and beans had a thick crust on them they'd been out so long. Now for the cherry on top - I had a view of the microwave from my seat and saw one of the waitresses (curly dark brown hair) microwave 2 rolls on a plate, and then reach into the microwave and grab the rolls repeatedly with her hand, presumably to see if they were warm enough. She then walked them on over to a table and served them. Yep - that happened. Then she walked right by playing with her hair. I was tempted to try to find a manager or tell another employee, but they all seemed so chummy I doubted anyone would care. Long story short - skip JB's in Price. read more

My family loved it. We took my dad there for his birthday dinner. I guess I got the short stick. I ordered a simple chicken finger basket and the chicken fingers were well done. The waitress did return them without complaint and got me fresh fingers. Great attitude and winning smile, which I was thankful for. After staying away from here for quite a while, we have now returned. We were happy to find that there has been some improvement with food quality. We now drink the coffee, it's tasting better. The bacon isn't thin and limp like it used to be and the chicken fried steak is not as thin as before. Service continues to be excellent.
